Nice to hear from you again. I see you've been busy with family and life. For the Nintendo Switch generation being 8 years, it is what it is. Do I agree that it should be that way given especially with it's top selling game being a port of a game that is turning 10 years old this month and that it may not have games that surpass Xenoblade Chronicles X on a technical level across the board? I don't, but it is what it is. My main stance on that is that I hope the success, long life span, and record breaking feats of it does not make it hard enough for the Switch successor to not succeed especially if it delivers the best of what Nintendo delivers in its exclusive and next gen only games. Art style over graphics talk I may have agreed with for a time prior, but at this time, right now, I don't necessarily agree with. My stance on that is those that have the competent art or graphical style match with the tech that has caught up or almost caught up to be able to show it be the best that it can be will hold up more than the competent art or graphical style where the tech still has a ways to go. Stellar Blade I think counts as a second party title for Playstation given their hand in funding it, assisting in giving tips on where to improve with the game, and their partnership with Shift Up for the title. Now to end on a more positive note, I am looking forward with my time with Stellar Blade that I recently started playing which I have played the demo of it as well. I can see the passion with it with an up and coming team like Shift Up especially from an Asian team outside of Japan and specifically in South Korea. And I have a good feeling I will be enjoying my time with it and that it will be a gem.

Square Enix canceled games and lost $140 million. This is what happens if you make a deal with Sony and don't make the returns that are going to keep your company afloat. Case in point: Final Fantasy XVI and VII Rebirth failed to make the sales due to ballooned costs and console exclusivity to the PS5. Microsoft shut down 4 Bethesda studios (far as I know, it's Arkane Austin and Tango GameWorks). Take-Two just recently shut down 2 studios. The story as of now is being developed. Seems like as of now, almost over 200 game studios got shut down over the past decade.

What I have picked up during this year: Deathwish Enforcers: If you like old school arcade platform shooters, then this is a game for you. WARNING: THIS GAME CONTAINS ADULT AND GRAPHIC CONTENT. VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED. Princess Peach Showtime: a nice plaftorm game starring Princess Peach. Developed by the same people who did Yoshi's Wooly World and Crafted World: Good-Feel (founded by an ex-Konami employee who created the Goemon franchise). Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown: picked this up at a Wal-Mart for $30. That's a steal! Future pickups: Slave Zero X, Gravity Circuit (Physical), Unicorn Overlord, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Shin Megami Tensei V, Megaman Battle Network Legacy Collection, Tomb Raider Trilogy Collection, Rocket Knight Adventures Re-Sparked, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron. That's all the positive things out of my chest. Now on to the bad things going on in gaming, which will be explained next comment.

The PC Master Race is the divine and can do anything... except make games physical

Stellar blade looks like it has nothing going for it outside of getting PC Snoy Neets to simp for a nude character. The gameplay is vague and doesnt look particularly good. Reminds me of Nier Automata, Platinum's objectively blandest and least inspired title with the worst gameplay. Bayonetta on the other hand was upfront with its imaginative and robust game-play, putting other action games to shame, and making DMC look very rudimentary and bland in its wake.

Nintendo has kept gaming great. I really like the new modes in Mario vs Donkey Kong. The two co-op player mode plays different too the normal mode it seems with extra keys required. Technically you could play with two joy cons if you don't have someone around to make the game levels longer and more challenging. Lol.

Starfield could be considered remotely competent, if it didn't have all the garbage ESG pandering. That brought it down when they should have focused far more on gameplay. Make no mistake that the hate had alot to do with it being Xbox exclusive, but its obvious though the Microsoft f'd it up with how generic slop they made it. I left the Xbox behind until the ditch DEI and bring back physical releases of games. This Thursday announcement seems to have been some PR damage control session. Hopefully Nintendo further rejects woke nonsense and reinstates the classic two gender only character creators. None of this divisive woke garbage that the majority is not down with.

XBox going DEI/ESG woke and turning on their frat bro/ UFC Dude audience was one of the dumbest decisions post 360. That and ditching Kinect too which was popular. They should have kept churning out their classic Xbox Original IPs, the 360s ones and kept building new ones. They announced way to many games that still haven't released on Series X yet. Sony games are garbage and terrible, but Xbox really has continued to fumble due to the Microsoft's nature of ruining things. Watching their IPs also go multiplatform was lame (like Alan Wake, now Alan Woke ESG edition, which destroyed both the gameplay and horor elements with its dopey pandering).

Hey Liger! Going to listen to these while I work on old hardware. Just for the record, don't believe anybody who says that Dreamcast analog thumbsticks don't drift, because they do. Dreamcast is the only system I am aware of that has thumbsticks that drift out of the box. I quite literally found an old Dreamcast controller brand new from 1999 at a junk shop, took it home and opened it, and as soon as I plugged it in, the thumbstick was giving false input. Now I'm taking it apart and seeing what's wrong with the innards. Keep up the great shows, broski!
