I agree on waiting until you get it in hands!!! This is my first time with this body buck, I pre ordered it as soon as I saw it because I felt the headsculpt fit this body the best! And it looks really good! I cancelled my preorder though.. becuase I FOUND him at a GameStop for $5 cheaper than I had it pre ordered!!! Opened it so quick, and I love it!!! Great review!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 I also would be down to mod this figure, have you made any customs or changes to this body mold on another variant?

Man that repaint of the face made such a HUGE difference! Amazing job! That Jim Gordon head actually looks pretty good on Sgt. Rock as well.

i’ve been looking at some red or dark maroon jackets to use with my McFarlane figures. All I keep finding is size 1/12 for a 6" figure. Do you know if that size would look good? Thanks in advance Bones Your channel is the best

I like the look of him and, overall, I think he is a pretty solid figure. As an enlisted person, I don't mind the inaccuracies 😂. If I wanted authentic, I wouldn't be collecting Mcfarlane 😂😂😂

The plug holes on the base are for the peg. You can move the peg to any of the other holes to your liking but you'll have to punch through the sticker on the base.👍 I agree, the head sits too low. It looks like he has no neck😂 But in the Mcfarlane product shots, the head is much higher and looks much better. I don"t know what happened between then and what we were finally given. I'm going to try and find a longer neck peg or custom extend this one.

Another Great Review. Some things to know.. Sgt. Rock is almost ALWAYS depicted wearing his helmet as any good soldier should do, he looks best that way. If you repaint hair, his hair is supposed to be “auburn” which is a mix of reddish & medium brown. As for his U.S. Army combat field uniform, it is supposed to be Olive Drab Green & his shirt seems accurate but during action guess he ripped off the sleeves..show off ;) The pants look kinda modern but there were WW-2 paratroopers that had similar pants with extra knee protection. Boots look close to paratroopers also. This Sgt. absolutely jumps from planes so it’s all good to go! Best fit for firearms is a Thompson Machine Gun / Tommy Gun & a .45 1911 pistol. Those can be found for action figures. 🫡

That head repaint immediately makes this a better figure

To the barber it is. This one is definitely the cool odd ball of the Mcfarlane Collection.

GET THOSE COMMUNIST BANG BANGS OUT OF HIS HANDS... HE'S AN AMERICAN SOLDIER!😂 M16, UZI, OR 1911s are the only acceptable fire arms... or pretty much anything from the first munitions pack except the AK-47!:) This figure feels like captain carrot 2.0 that nobody asked for or even really knew about until the figure was announced, not a bad figure just thought the excitement for this guy was weird!

Arms are mongul reuse

I think a lot of people were saying that they reused Mongul's arms not Kalibak's arms and it looks like they were right.

Hubbie opened his and articulated it. Thought he broke it when articulating the shoulders haha 🤣 This is a good figure. Love the cape. The blue always looks great. The alternative heads I am sure gets to you because of how you like to pose your figures. Are you getting the WW Jim Lee Statue?

Yeah Todd’s version of Bane here is based on Kelly Jones’ Bane cover Artwork. The panel work was always different but being a kid during Knightfall seeing those Jones covers almost made me slightly disappointed when I opened the books lol.

Initially I thought this one was fantastic. But after seeing reviews, I'm glad I didn't get it. Mcfartlane did a great job for what it is,but... for one it's too big, and what originally stopped me from needing it, is the hard plastic used for the torso. If mcfartlane had used a soft overlay of rubber material to cover up a separation between the upper torso and lower then it would have been a must have despite the enormous scale 😂❤

not so familiar with the different Darkseid versions, only know him from Superman TAS, Harley Quinn and I think he is the main villain in Final Crisis( Haven't read it yet), not sure on this figure but could be nice to take pictures with him and Batman ( Darkfather )and Lex Luthor (Darkseid War Version, is on my list) cosplaying as him

Excellent job. I love the look Of Mafex Bane but I can’t ever really justify dropping the money on Mafex figures. I have Gambit, brown suit Wolverine, Hush Batman.. etc.. but I can get these two figures and still be under Mafex lol. And as much as I love this storyline what always made Bane stand out got me was Kelly Jones’ hulking covers. That was always Bane to me.. if they made the Mafex Bane a bit bigger and gave him maybe an extra head that was battle damaged or something it would be more worth it to me.. So this set it is. May end up doing what oh did.

I skipped pre-ordering this figure since I already have a couple of versions. I kinda feel like I should get him to display with my classic Marvel Legends Thanos.

I was curious how you were gonna tackle the arm socket issue, in gonna try heating the socket and squeezing them together before anything drastic, if big bad toy store will ever ship mine! God that dc superheroes darkseid is a great figure... I repurposed mine for the dc icons superman! Oh that's what that gauntlet goes to, I've had that gauntlet, a dc pin and that mother box in a tiny little baggie for years and had no clue what it went to!

I was happy to get him other than the issues. Before I make a video on my channel I usually open them up to check out but didn’t do that and his arms and one leg popped off so easily. I think this was supposed to be a baf megafigure but that fell through.

Still waiting for him, the pre order is taking its good old time. Great watch though

His beltline is way too Michelin Man. I know he wasn't a skinny character by any means, but it just looks really barell-like to me. Making the belt slightly thinner would help.

Hey buddy, great repaint! I seen this two pack at target this morning. I had to pass just cause I have that Batman already in two colors now. An I just hate that extra cellshading on thge bane figure. But you did a great job at painting over it. Wish I could of got the original bane when it dropped.

Instead of rubbing off the shading I chose to work with it and make it make sense with darker blues and purples, custom painted the mask to have that black gap and goggles look rather than the white all being connected (Banes face changes from panel to panel, sometimes the white on his mask is all connected, other times it’s separated and the eyes look like goggles). Fixed up all his hair and filled that all out, purple highlights on the boots like the comics and some silver, and boom! Easily the best Bane figure possible for me! Love what you did with yours too though Bones!

Acetone removes paint the best, but you need to use little, and go over what you took off with water. So like rub off a bit with some Acetone, then immediately go over with a wet cue tip. Acetone will eat away at plastic if you leave it for too long. I've found the best thing to remove paint is Winsor & Newton Brush Cleaner & Restorer. Works like a freaking charm, but follow the same process as I said with Acetone. These paintjobs are super clean and look great so now I'm gonna have to get this pack and do this myself. Bane alone looks good enough to warrant getting and doing the same. I was thinking of doing this but wanted to see someone do what you did so thank you for that.
