You don’t even have to watch the mens game and you could release a video right now for it. I have it written for you. The defense and rebounding was atrocious. Two Wisconsin players had career nights after being in a major scoring slump. Even a walk on who lost 7 toes due to frostbite scored 9 points. The Hawks couldn’t make any wide open shots to get over the hump and struggled at the line which lead to a 16 point loss. Keep watching the women though. They at least never quit and play hard every night.

Iowa is in a weird spot, Fran will probably be gone next year, looks like Owen and Brock will be gone next year, losing Drew and Peyton. We might have completely different team next year and I’m not sure if that’s a bad thing.

It wasn’t even there defense it’s that they when one person has a couple good shots they just pass it to them and then that person never passes the ball and makes dumb mistakes and never makes clutch shots like Josh Dix last night

It is so strange to watch the men's team have a lead on the #7 team in the country and seemingly look so miserable. The body language and the looks on their faces is terrible... and that's when they are ahead. Maybe it just seems exaggerated from watching the women who are the exact opposite. I just wonder what is going on with them.

I am a lifetime Hawkeye fan that lives in Indiana. Today the media was discussing last nights Iowa Purdue game and offered a great comment regarding Iowa and how they are similar this year to IU. Both teams have talent and coaches that seem checked out. They have players that appear to not work within any structure and free lance what ever is open to highlight their individual stat line. Then there is Purdue, a team with solid talent that clearly understands the team vision and their individual contributing roles within the overall structure. Each player contributes when needed and also subordinates themselves as needed for the greater goal of winning. That is a tribute to Matt Painter and a critical flaw of both Mike Woodson and Fran M. Unfortunately, my entire family are both Iowa and Purdue fans as its enjoyable to watch winning organized basketball and also to visit Mackey Arena to cheer with the passionate Boilermakers. Apathy is worse than anger - we just don't care anyone enough to invest the time.

Textbook Fran roster mismanagement on display last night. Mulvey did a really nice job and should have gotten more PT all season. Brauns did more in 30 seconds with a block on one end and a put back on the other than I have seen from Dembele in a month, but Fran keeps running Dembele out there. Traore is mistake prone, but the dude is on another level athletically.

Pretty obvious Freeman has not been the same enthusiastic, high energy player we saw last year. No reason for him to return to Iowa and never see the NCAA tournament with Fran at the helm. Tough spot for the rest of the players as they likley won't win another game and will get taken to the wood shed often. Don't be surprised if half the team goes in the portal the day after the season ends, which will be the last big ten regular game, as this team won't make the BTT.

The coaching staff had a plan. The girls'executed it perfectly. We came to play and USC did not. Amazing win for the girls; and the coaches.

It was odd how USC Women didn't even seem into the game in the 4th. Like they just checked out.

Unfortunately, State Penn wrestling is on a different level right now. Cael has the type of talent and teams Gable had back in the 80s and 90s.

Penn Stae is 10-0 in duals this year. They shut out four of their opponents. Four of their opponents scored 3 team points. one (Nebraska) scored 7. Iowa scoed 8, the most of anybody this year.

Peyton it’s not one of Iowa’s best three players. He should not be in the starting lineup.

I disagree. Iowa can compete with Penn State. And they will compete in the years ahead.

As usual, PSU outclasses. They just seem more technically, mentally and physically prepared.

Dump the Brands

I think iowa should hire bishop mccort and faith christian academies coaches and assistant coaches from pennsylvania. That would get you two bachmans, adam watters, bo bassett, melvin miller and jax forrest. Plus the coaches at these two schools have proved you can cheat and illegally recruit and pull wrestlers from all over the country in high school. You may have to name the arena after bo basset and the urinals and toilets after his father before you name him coach

Let me give you the update on next year, your wrestling team will start out 8-0 and run your mouths again and you will prove you stink. Your football team will have a good defense a 1,000 yard rusher who will get hurt by game 10 and be out for the year, your qb will stink as will your offense but you will be 8-4 and happy about another average year. You will a average 24.8 pts per game and you will still be talking about caitlin clark

Tom brands and his teams are striving to be average and i applaud him for that. Your football team stinks too. Spencer lee, austin desanto, kemmerer for all 16 years were all from pa
