It is amazing that Steve managed to take what was initially just a way to fill time for an act (playing banjo) into a second career (or knowing Steve, really a fourth career.) Earl Scruggs and Johnny Carson would be proud of him. The former for keeing the tradition of the banjo alive, the latter for Steve remembering Johnny's lesson from decades earlier, "You'll use everything you have."

I’ve really fallen in love with bluegrass music ever since I visited the Smoky Mountains back in 2021. I go back once a year just to relax in the mountains and to listen to local bands playing this beautiful music.

That was pure magic. I've loved Vince since he was playing in Pure Prairie League. He is one of the finest singers and musicians who ever lived. And Steve Martin can likewise hold claim to iconic status in acting and comedy. The fact that Martin is a damn good banjo player, too, is such a cool thing.

I grew up knowing Steve Martin as a stand-up comedian. He was brilliant. As a younger adult I knew him as a writer and actor. Brilliant, once again. Now, I see a very talented musician/composer. Again, brilliant!
