First time in my, nearly 72 years, that I’ve listened to Alison Brown. I myself play guitar and bouzouki, mostly irish/celtic, danish and self composed music. But she is awesome! 🫶
I think in a previous life I was a high quality banjo like that one, or was married to one. This music was like a sweltering parched body at the first swig of a mug of cold beer.
What a beautiful combination of Bluegrass, Beatles, and Bossa nova. If a non-Portuguese speaker wants to conceptualize the comforting but complex/conflicting feelings of "saudade", they should study this amazing arrangement 😌 I wish George Harrison and Jobim could have heard this
OH dear! when "On Banjo" came out last year I must have missed this one because I don't remember it back then. What a terrible omission!! I LOVE IT. I'm going to get it out again and give it some spins on the radio this week.
Who knew Águas De Março would sound so good on banjo. The ending with the melody of Águas De Março playing over the chords of Here Comes The Sun is beautiful.

24/09/2024: just a few days now till I leave this damp jail, and the sun goes on spewing through these gutters for someone else.
Es un tema realizado especialmente para mí. 15 04 60. Habla mucho sobre su servidor y amigo.
