All went to SHARP to BEG for them to Whole sale mass produce TV for Their brands “with VERY high proposed price tag” promissing Long term partnership. SO what u know as -High Quality SONY Bravia all along that started SONY premium LED were--SHARP Aquos with SONY LOGO directly from SHARP factory in Japan. SHARP sold its tv brands to Hisense 4 yr later .Hisense also bought Kenwoo, Toshiba tv etc bunch other brands . Has those LED patterns, perfected their stuff . Only sold Roku to Warm up the Market (VW were in USA for 20 years to warm up market be4 they launched AUDI in 1970) Hisnse been crushing SONy LG for years……. U can NOT go back to SONY LG once u use Hisense U8k U8N UX for a few days. SONY , LG has completely Different LED technology. Their former “best quality” “made in JapaN” all came from SHARP. Nowadays Sony has funny pestle color n all made in Mexico riding SHARP wave started in 2010 for their LEDs. Hisense premkium Google panel (not the cheap Ass Roku at Walmart) embodies the Early SONY Quality Image but up to Next Level which SONY No LONGER has (very pestle, funny blue). Severely Blooming, Low contrast. Hisense(NOT d Cheap Ass Roku). Their Google panels are -D utter Best tvs right now . Check the UX, U9N, U8N. U8K

Nice honest review. I am thinking of getting one. I have a crappy laptop at the moment which is my emergency "better than nothing" system but I want a bit better processor. My current one has Core i5 4210U @ 1.70GHz base frequency and 12 GB of DDR3. I could make do but I am hoping a Lenovo X260 with an i7-6500u running at 2.5 Ghz base speed will do me better Both CPU are dual core though. What CPU has yours got?

For those who download the 1vyrain file at this moment, on RUFUS just select all complete zip or rar file 1vyrain and flassh it to the usb stick i (DD) mode, and voila.

I'm using a t430u and I am using Rufus.. However the target system keeps switching to uefi non csm and your example has bios selected...as soon as I select the iso it switches from bios as a target to uefi.... Any ideas

Love the look you have, with the material taken off the covers but having them on anyway. It looks very smart. I love the look of the drivers so wouldn't ever cover them up, but i might consider doing this! Just picked up a pair yesterday for £30 and initial impressions are very good!

I have almost the same machine (except mine has the IPS screen), and I run Debian GNU/Linux on it (I never run proprietary software) and don't have the overheating issues that you seem to have. I use mine when out of the house, or when I fancy using a computer in another room than my office room. On your overheating one ... laptops should always be used on hard surfaces as well.

I can not thank you enough! While updating the drivers of my X230 with the ThinkVantage System Update I accidentally updated to the latest BIOS/EC as well. Since I wanted to install the old X220 keyboard I thought I had locked the BIOS until I discovered your magic sauce. For some reason though the BIOS got rolled back to 2.61 but the EC remained at the latest 1.15 version. I then installed BIOS version 2.75 directly from Lenovo and the EC luckily got rolled back to 1.14 again so I'm all set for the keyboard mod. Seriously, how do people come up with such workarounds?! Good stuff, thank you again!

What exactly did you do to the knobs, and how? I have the same one and although it works, it "misbehaves" when i turn the knobs.
