Jim & Bob Genial Hawaiians steel guitar 4 songs 1933
These are all from 78 RPM Records and not from the 2012 CDs (those CDs all play way sharp). These are in the correct pitch. I do wish I had the other 8 songs they recorded at their one and only session recorded Dec 12 1933 ....but I don't .....Enjoy

Eddie Valencia's Beachcombers w Dick McIntire steel guitar 1935
Переглядів 421Рік тому
Although the session 5/20/1935 is listed as unknown musicians, it is most certainly Dick McIntire playing steel guitar. Also sounds like Lani McIntire on some of the vocals, with I assume Eddie Valencia also doing vocals. There were two other songs recorded and released from this session but I do not have that 78. It would appear that this was Eddie Valencia's only session, with just the four s...
Sol K Bright part 2 Hawaiian Steel Guitar- 8 more songs 1933/34

Part 2 .....These are all pre-electric Hawaiian steel guitar. Recorded in 1933/1934. Seems as though only some of Sol's songs have ever been reissued , mostly on older compilations. I hope these will help fill the gaps with some songs that have never been reissued.I do feel the sound quality is important and try for the best quality I can get by using original 78s. But I am somewhat limited by ...

A nice blend of Hawaiian music and some traditional Jazz instruments. This was something you would not hear to much on records in those days ( or even nowadays). Both of these tracks were recorded Aug 29 1934 in the beginning years of the Electric Steel Guitar. Mannie Klein plays trumpet and Danny Stewart is playing the Steel Guitar. Nice to work with a clean 78 for a change. Sounds pretty good...

So good
What’s the last song 🤔
SHE WAS IN A CLASS BY HERSELF!! SO UNBELIEVABLY GORGEOUS.
Travis is playing Ray Whitley's custom ordered 1937 Gibson SJ-200 in these clips.
I grew up with this music as a cartoon watcher.
They rhymed Sambo with rainbow. Smh
Whole lotta high yella there.
What is that Speedy West is doing with his picking hand at 1:21 ? He drops his hand down to the side of the steel and looks like he's fanning something while he's sliding the steel across the strings.
Just 19. She got better every year. Great Soundie, with suggestive lyrics.
Dorothy is darling! Thanks so much for sharing this.
She did it before Beyoncé….
Her beauty was out of this universe. She was so gorgeous that they let her into “all white venues” or “all white hotels”. Men were crazy about her, and women were jealous!!!
she kinda looks like doja cat
👮 Music
Such a cutey!!
Definitely an under-appreciated performer
Great act!
Better than Bouncy Z
This is so cute lol
Proof that black people have been a part of country music from the fucking beginning. Those races saying that beyoncé couldn't do country when she's literally from Texas. It's crazy to me😂 You call yourself out, especially since a lot of modern country doesn't even come from people who live in the south or have ever been close to any country area in their life
I thought women didn't have skirts that short until the 70s, but I guess they had normalized whoring by the 40s already. We never should have let women vote. It's been downhill since then. At least we're finally taking some of their privileges away again.
She's so beautiful! 😍 Her face reminds me of Candace Owens!
As you are "try something new" , might I suggest... You Share in the description DATE OF & WHAT this is from ?
It is in the description "soundie from 1942"
@@chrisclem2573 Yes, sorry date was right there.. "Soundie" was a whole movie or just a short "music video" ?
@@MrStevos They were short music films about 3 minutes long .
This is a World War Two anti Hitler song. The label is from Victor joint operation in Canada of 3 firms: 1>Estate of Emil Berliner (Disk phono inventer) 2> RCA Victor USA 3>victor former affiliate His Masters Voice of UK. The label style is called "Bat Wing" and was style Victor used in USA from 1912 to 1925. But used in Canada into 50s.
LANHAM is the most undrreeated of em all ......along w PHIL BAUGH
Thx. Rare. Just rewatched CRAZY today. Here on the forum.
I love these videos. I've never seen any of them before.
She was gorgeous
I love her 💜🥰
I like Patsy McMahon singing Same Shame on you MUCH better. She did several "soundies" with Spade in the early 40s. The girl on this recoding lacks the spirit of innocence that really makes Patsy's version shine. Watch here: ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=shame+shame+on+you+spade+cooley
Yes Doreen wasn't much a singer, this is the only recording I have of her. I do have more of Patsy McMahon with Spade that I have not posted. Maybe I should!...anyway here is a better link to Patsy singing Shame on You. ua-cam.com/video/3-yc8QgDjEQ/v-deo.html
Cris, looks like a young bobby short on piano but when I looked it up, it was a guy named Eugene Jackson; who was uncredited in the shortie. I also noticed that it must have been the era when only light skinned blacks were deemed as the black standard of beauty; as all the female dancers were of a lighter hue. Can anybody confirm that?
She was a looker and got better looking as she matured
That guy with the guns did NOT know what he was doing. She did!
For a second I thought that was Doja in the thumbnail until I read the title. What a nice surprise.
Gorgeous and awesome...wish I knew about her 60 yes ago.
Raised on Loco weed ?
Ohhh love this so much wow!!! So glad UA-cam randomly decided it's time for people to see this!!!!
Yeah, Amazing!!! ✌️🖖!!
The movie is 2 years older than I. No wonder I remember babysitters singing those lyrics.❤❤
You can buy an electric washing machine at the Nanticoke Temple of Music!
💡Beyoncé must have seen this and the 💡 came on in her head 😂😂
Buffalo soldiers…. 🐎
She was sooo small! But then again. In today's world, if a woman is less than 175 lbs, she's considered small to medium size. haha
One of the great trumpet men from the big band era randy was a very respected trumpet man
She was a delight to the eyes and euphonious to the ears.
Ignorance dictates the belief that there were no black cowboys, yet this film and other hidden from the public evidence says different.
did well for. a guy with bad pitch. thanks to speedy and jimmy
Awww suki suki now 😅..."raised on local weed"😂
He was raised on local weed?
