It’s a T50 torx , not a T45.
Good advice. Do Horseflys bite???
2024 mines still leak do am gonna change the rubbers seals around the doors
wow this was much more helpful for my specific car than most videos with tons of views. thanks! btw do you know where the wheel lock generally is?
Thanks @tungadilla! Check the glovebox. We usually find the wheel lock security sockets there. Thanks for posting!
Super direct and to the point! Many thanks! Also yeesh, what a breeze after having to do that damn thermostat!
You are most welcome @smellsgoodproduction. Thanks for posting!
DO NOT USE THIS IN A HONDA or anything newer to be honest. It'll shift better and then a few thousand miles later it'll be dead. Cleaners clog up the tiny screens inside the Honda transmissions. These cleaners are made for transmissions with a replaceable filter like trucks. I'm a Honda PACT graduate and a certified technician, I learned about this from the old school guys. Use only DW-1 (or whatever it requires) usually about 3.5 quarts per drain and fill. Also it's not just metal, it's also clutch material and debris, also also usually the plug is a 3/8" not 3/4". Install a new crush washer and torque to around 32 lb-ft (somewhere in the ballpark, consult service info).
Good feedback, thanks for posting!
Thank you very much for the video. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You are most welcome @ernestofundora8437, thanks for posting!
dont do this. the metal in there is because of normal wear. thats why there is a magnet. the sea foam didnt do shit to this vehicle. there is no magic snake oil fix for a slipping or shuddering tranny. transmission fluid is already full of detergents and cleaners, and cleaning the clutch surfaces will do nothing but make the tranny slip worse. the only thing she did was a fluid change, which should only be done if its been done regularly from new, or if the fluid is burnt. changing a high mileage transmissions fluid is the first step to having a transmission slip. this chick did nothing to improve anything
The results on 3 of our Honda's disagree. Thanks for posting.
Ima Honda mechanic and don’t use anything else but Honda fluid said every fool ever. You’ll be fine use an oem equivalent fluid no need to spend on the Honda branded stuff plenty of options out there been doing it for years no issues all my customers come back to me.
As a 20 year Honda mechanic, do not use anything but oem Honda ATF. Manuals you can get away with all kinds of different gear oil combos, but Honda auto transmission are notoriously picky with fluid types. Anything other than OEM and you will wear parts and kill the shift solenoids. Doing some research you will find well over 30 years of transmission problems from non-oem ATF.
100% agree
I don't listen to females talking about engineering. Especially a girl still in highschool.
3/8 drive sump plug
Don't just don't
Nice. !!
I just bought a gallon of Trans fluid, about $40 !!!!!!!
Please don’t use that atf fluid Honda transmission are extremely picky only use OEM Honda fluid I’ve seen transmission blow using that.
There are varying opinions about it. We appreciate you posting this @midrangegamer9063 as it helps others make informed decisions.
@@hopfammedia Its not varying opinions its what the service manual calls for, not to be rude or anything like that but I have owned many Hondas and worked at Honda dealerships while you can get away with that ATF fluid its not recommended at all if you want it to last just change your transmission fluid every 30K doing a 3x3 drain and fill. Now when it comes to the seafoam trans tune that sounds like a great idea how have your results been with that did you notice less slippage or shudder?
@midrangegamer9063 thanks for the reply. We have treated 4 of our Honda vehicles with this method. Three are doing well. One did not respond well. We are working through the external shift modules now. If replacing them doesn't work, then we will replace the transmission.
@@midrangegamer9063 having done this procedure, (without the seafoam) but with the Valvoline maxlife, multiple times over 15 years, I have had good experience, as for other non Z-1/DW-1fluid, I cannot comment, but max life has been very good to me.
This is a great idea for CVTs, but for high mileage traditional automatic transmissions, this could end up causing slippage. That being said, this would probably be a great idea for regular transmission fluid changes. Just avoid doing this on high mileage automatics.
That's interesting @yeldarBkereD. Do you have any examples for others to see? Appreciate your posting!
For anyone wondering why their T25 won’t work, try using a T27. It fits perfectly for me.
What is like to know is why everything manufactured today is garbage.
Looking forward to a free market regulated by competition resulting in better products.
Yeah, no I replace those with metal whatever those things are called or made out of metal. It didn’t work for me. I have to replace both latches and the mechanism in the middle.
Yeah, I didn’t actually get those mechanisms and cables and all that I just got a hacksaw blade and whallo all of those channels out and the cable quit getting stuck on all four of those metal devices
I wonder if you could wrap some sort of cloth over the cracked A pillars.
That's a great question @lincmerc1581. I don't know. I have thought that someone may be reproducing these as an aftermarket replacement. If not, a careful recovering with upholstery would be great!
I’m just wondering why no one is talking about the service bulletin that requires you to rotate the flywheel bolt 1 bolt over. There’s a service bulletin on starter fault. And it comes from the flywheel.
We aren't familiar with that TSB @PSimon-xr3pw. Thanks for posting about it here for the benefit of others!
Thank you sooo much from lady to lady I said if she can do it I can too and I will definitely say you will need an Impact driver for sure for the star bit bolts
You are quite welcome @kasunapunk4632. Thanks for posting!
I add a tube of dr tranny shudder fix when adding fresh fluid fixed a bunch of different cars this way!
We bought a new v6 5 speed automatic Accord back in 2006. I do all the maintenance on it. Always found it silly that it does not have a transmission pan. I've done the fluid changes about three times in the 150,000 miles we've had it. I've also replaced the in line filter once. I drive it hard and use all 244hp. I also gear it down from Drive to 3 to 2 sometimes when getting off the freeway. Trans still works great.
Well done @jewllake! Thanks for posting.
I might have to invest in a Honda. 😊
Y’all’s video quality just continues to get better and better! Thanks for getting the word out on a common and easy to avoid issue!
Thanks for the video, straight forward and I was able to knock it out in a few hours. Saved me few $$$ 🍻
You are most welcome @up1nsm0ke420! Thanks for posting.
Thank you for your useful video, I suggest to check the hybrid battery status too. It can be done from the vehicle by pushing info and then swithing on and off lights 3 times, then you get into the secret menu. Check if voltage is above 14 volts. Greetings from Italy
Excellent advice, thanks @raffaellorelaxingvideo!
Iv watched 4 videos and yours was the best. Thanks for the great job

Had the shutter at 59k miles. Flush fixed it easily. 2017 GMC Canyon
It's good to read your post @calebmoss2081. Glad it's working for you!
Thanks so much for your help!! My doors haven't been working for a few years now and I decided to tackle the job after watching your video over and over. I had purchased the metal pieces separately and had a hard time getting them just right - so I decided to purchase the entire wire piece on Amazon for $ 35.00. I am glad to say it is working and now to my other door which should be easier. Thanks again!!!
You are Most Welcome @jameseubanksiii7468. Thanks for posting!
could this be the reason why my high beams are stuck on even when the truck is turned off. I just got the truck and the steering wheel is also misaligned which I plan on getting it aligned this upcoming week. I read that a steering wheel misaligned could be the reason for the stuck high beams.
That's an interesting question. My gut says no. Please comment if you learn more about it for others benefit. Thanks for posting!
It works. I just repaired 2 doors while watching
That's great @luketurner3246. Thanks for posting!
Woooo professional ❤ God bless
Ford F150 is my dream truck
I have replaced all parts and cannot get my latch to move, it only releases when I pull the metal bar at the bottom down first, same problem on both sides, adjusted the tension and lubricated all parts??? What am I missing???
I am sorry that your having trouble with this repair! @billwilhelm4633 You may need to replace the latch as well. Thats what we chose to do. Check out our part two video that covers the latch replacement.
I found out that the replacement metal tips were not properly machined and did not go all the way to the middle and caused the cables to catch and not move freely. I took a Dremel tool with a cutting wheel and fixed the problem. Thanks for your reply.
@billwilhelm4633 that's good feedback. Very glad you were able to make it work!
Nice
💪😊👍
You did a great job on the 3rd brake light replacement
Thank you Luis!

Video for Jeep Cherokee KL motor 2.4???
We sure will look at it If we get one in the shop that needs it. Thanks for posting!
Like someone else said, this is one of the best and clearest explained how to videos I think I have ever wached. Took me no time at all to replace mine. Excellent job, Thanks!
Thanks much @BenModerow... sure do appreciate the encouragement!
My 2022 Cherokee Trailhawk has this problem. The dealership had been looking for the leak and couldn’t find it. I found your video, and alerted the dealership about the service bulletins on my second trip. Sure enough, this was it. Thank you for this info! I’m thankful my Jeep is still under warrantee so they will be fixing it for me. I am also going to tell them we need mold remediation on until carpet. My leak is on the passenger side.
You are most welcome @dg11306! Glad it helped !!!
DOES NOT APPLY TO 4 CYLINDER. Would’ve been great information before I removed my entire battery, luckily not much work to put it back
Thanks for the feedback @lemickey4204. We updated the title and description to six cylinder.
I can’t just replace the bulb I need a fan if I want to install LED on 07 Ford f150?
Hi @teeb9969. I am not certain, but I believe if your bulb needs a fan, then it probably comes with it.
Where can I find them pieces at them eight pieces and a part number please if I could and thank you
Hi @paulfoster7346. You should find links to these in the video description.
@@hopfammedia thank you so much I did thanks thank you so much That was an awesome video That was the best I've ever seen out here That was so perfect I'll look at a lot of videos but hey that's one here was best explained it keep up the good work thank you for sharing
