NONO NOO IT's not "They were", "was", "were"... I am currently in my fourth , fifth, sixth Nephilim periods I've had. I discovered the in 91 when my sister just put a pair of headphones on me and by then I listened to 98,6% Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, The Mission and The Nephilim was so much more complex but I only discovered them emotionally. Today I listen to them with an understanding of how and why their music comes around but for you my answer is: Oh my gosh no they are still around and the best album I think now is from 2011!!! I saw them at that time and only waited for the old songs. Apart from the rest of the darkwave (except Joy Division) they are masters of suspence and their use of the bass snd drums is fenomenal. Their music also contains loads of super crestive synth use. They are the best band for me now.

Look, being a Sisters fan (in 2024) is complicated. You have the pre 1985 only obsessives, the Floodland only people (thanks MTV), the everything up till Y2K folks, the "Von's voice is trash now" people (who have moved on to Pod casts and are simply over it)...and plenty of everything in-between. For me (personally - your results may vary), I enjoy the 1996-2000 era...Andrews voice is perfect, the guitars are noisy, the drum and bass machine are pumpin'...but mainly, the songs are played at the right speed (unlike today - that might put me in "the songs are too fast" cohort). While there are a few Sisters cover bands in the EU that sound 100% spot on to the bootlegs from ~1985...they're cover bands...the last decade of Sisters shows seem to be more about funding Andrews retirement...then again, there is an energy in the room, a phone recorded video can't capture...and the shows are fun...Look, is is too much to ask for them to play "I have Slept with all the girls in Berlin" instead of Drive on Ice?

I keep in mind that as volume goes up, prices come down. Right now,aboit 47,000 reservations are in. As they take a PI build around the countr, I expect reservations to increase even more and they wi explode when production starts. I have a Mitsubishi Mirage that gets 43-50 mpg. I still want the Aptera.

Lucretia, My Reflection. I love the bass in that one. They were in Detroit last night. Unfortunately, they didn't sell out. I read negative comments about his voice, as well as the lackluster performance of the new hired hands he has as a band. I don't believe everything I read online, so I looked up a recent concert on UA-cam. Based on that performance, I passed on the tickets. I prefer to remember them as the awesome band that they were in the 80s & 90s.

I am a physicist and the 40 miles per day on a sunny day included engineering margin so I think they will achieve it. You will be able to get about 140 miles overnight on your 120 V 15/20 amp circuit in the US.

The price is still in flux and the price may still drop a bit rather than go up. I plan to get the 600 mile version and am an accelerator and will drive it across the country and assuming I find this video again, I will post a quick review.

Be aware that Aptera plans for four range option battery packs: 250, 400, 600, and 1000 miles. The Launch Edition will be produced first with the 400 mile range battery pack, followed by the 250 mile version, then the 600, and the 1000 mile version. As you know, the battery pack size is the largest determiner in the final vehicle price tag, so you can weigh that in your range choice. Also, the recent price "increase" is not company announced nor official.... it comes out of the US Capital Global investor presentation. While the costs shown there are real, Aptera has explained that they are derived from their suppliers early quotes which are always high and based on the smallest quantity. Aptera expects much more realistic supplier quotes as production nears and quantities/timelines solidify, so the cost is expected to have a significant drop from what is shown there. Battery costs are also trending down quite a bit lately, especially as chemistries improve and new ones head onto the market. The recent change in drive-train from three in-wheel motors with three inverters, to one motor and inverter, has also reduced cost. I hope you find this additional information helpful.

Thanks for your Aptera thoughts! It may be hard to believe, but the calculations work out. The 0.13 drag coefficient comes from the original design tested in the NASA wind tunnel via that official report. The Aptera of today has had aerodynamic improvements and should do as well or a little better. Real world testing should be very interesting!

They are one of the best bands ever live. I grew up listening to them and have seen them live many times all over the 🇬🇧. Great lyrics, buzzing guitars slow starts building up into an orgy of crescendos and noise. Lights shining and flashing through thick smoke from the machines, thousands of fingers reaching out to them clad in their black long coats, hats and leathers covered in “DUST” well it was a liberal sprinkling of homepride but 100% for effect. I saw them not so long ago at Leeds HRH Goth weekend and they were fantastic.🖤
