Southern is still powerful to this day, but i still say dudes today just can't do on the horns what players did back then, with less people. Not just Southern, but ALL bands. Even High schools.. We were a different breed back then. You really begin to notice it after 2010. Players after 2010 just couldn't seem to produce as much power than they did prior.. Me and my boys talk about this all the time. Some even go as far and say, it's because there was a big shift from people recording with Cassette and VHS tapes to Cellphones and more tech recording devices which make them sound different, But no.. I've been to High school football games back then, that from Across the field made you feel sh*t that a lot of colleges can't do today. Back then, what they was cranking you felt it in your bones and soul.
