Skaven is what I played in Total War <3 Also still my second favorite faction, plan on doing a ton of skaven list at some point.

I believe your opinion to be correct! Rotigus is better at casting, especially for casting on your opponents turn. His spell is good, but unreliable and really on shines turns 3-5 and is just straight countered by trolls, sylvaneth, soulblight and other healing armies. Glottkins damage is much higher and is only 60 points more. Its casting vs damage. Was experimenting a lot with rotigus because he has a nice potential synergy with bursting pustules, and can help cast more utility spells we might not have had the slot for before like buboes and quagmire, while still getting the -1 to wound spell off. The conclusion so far is hes better then he was with the new passive and small point drop he got, but if it was a tournament list. he wouldnt be able to fight Glottkin for that slot, possibly a guo if I wanted Febrile frenzy for a foot soldier style list

@@raymondlane Yeah I agree with the above. Ideally I'd leave the Glottkin at home also, to avoid any juicy targets for my opponent but then you have little to no damage output outside of a GUO. I was interested to see you feeling out the 2 drop and leaving out Horticulous. I often do this myself but can quite tell how I feel about it. Ideally I'd prefer Gutrot, to force your opponent to deploy conservatively while also threatening an early easy Take Land. But 290pts doesn't feel good value for it.

@@maxbarton613 I still love gutrot, but hes hard to justify in a 2 drop, hes excellent value in a 3-4 drop though.

@ How are you feeling with the 2 drops? Think it’s an overall improvement to be 2 drop vs higher drops but with additional tech? More tech or dictated T1. What is holding more value so far for you?

Febrile frenzy brings beast to 8inch move, which makes battle tactics T1 and movement easier in general, don't need something like a guo with that many beast and the list has a few different ways it can play depending on your opponent. You can run up against eleite/shooting armies and try to do some damage and bury them in plague puppies. Or you can get the kings on points and make a net of sort of the beast to be cagey and make it more of a minefield of countercharging mortals (better against slower/castle armies) Kings give you some extra control score because beast are not good for control and having 6 of them takes up a big part of the list. I put bloab in here to have a cast, the -1 to hit when hes most likely going to want to split attacks can do a lot and if horti can recycle even 2-3 beast its good. Also probably want to throw in at least one beast asap, let it die and spread disease so you can try to revive it turn 2. Its a bit of a difficult list to pilot, but it can do some work. Just hope you dodge trolls at all cost <3

you can spread with the use of the Guos spell, Bursting pustule, and our Gnarlmaws ability. And it used to be able to spread from them to others, but you cannot anymore sadly. So you can give them disease, but its largely useless now

o yeah! We did forget that. and Yeah Rotigus has some play, Still not amazing but he has his place and feels a bit better with the point drop.

It's not -1 to wound, he misspoke there, it's magnificent bubous, -1 to hit, cast, chant, banish and unbind.

interesting ive seen list like this going around a bit but havnt tried it yet. Ive done a few king spam list but i gut the guo in my version, and i havnt touched pusgoyles in ages, ill give it a shot some time.

@@raymondlane Arch stayed the same but caught an indirect nerf when his hammer units (Chosen, VG) both went up. Just made it a little harder to build a list with him imo. Super tight on points.

@@acidbased2654 aaa yeah, i remember having an archeon nurgle list in 3rd, it was a ton of fun with bilepiper but you had very little else. Did get a few plague claws in that list though, was a good time

Manifestations and faction terrain can have disease tokens! The only way to give them disease tokens currently is from the guos spell, from Feculent gnarlmaws ability and from bursting pustules! but they no longer have any effect as they cannot be picked as the source for a spread, but if an endless spell is killed with a token, it can have the bursting pustule effect work!

Glad to be back! and you cannot give them disease anymore from blessed by the plague father, was in the Faq they released awhile ago sadly. You also can power through on a faction terrain piece if you have more wounds then it. Not sure where the ruling was, got it from Madigan though I can try to find the rules section for it when im home

@@raymondlane lemme know if you get an answer about faction terrain. It came up for me in a game against IDK we spoke to Fabian from Season of War, he said it doesn't work. Im unclear which is correct.

@@randykeeling1916 I was told its because faction terrain and endless spells can be picked for ability's that say pick a unit. Also unrelated but I didn't know Fabien was on Season of War! Love that channel and i've played Fabien a few times, he's an excellent player

@@randykeeling1916 Found the Answer! Talked to Madigan and you cannot power through on Most terrain pieces, But terrain pieces that have something garrisoned inside you can do a power through on the unit inside the garrision. So lumineth shrine, Fec and Khorne thrones

hey sorry I know this is late, was taking a break due to a loss in the family. But I have played this exact list and have had good success with it, only struggle is no rotmire but its a good brawling list, I hope you did well with it!

its hitting numbers on the keyboard! The ones on the top row specifically, works for models to to make quick lines of units.

because all of the damage from the disease ability is applied at once, then models are removed, so the damage ability has already resolved by the time models are removed
