RoP is still looks better than the Hobbit. I'm sure we can all get behind that.

I think The Hobbit wargs look the best

I think the tone of rings of power you can see its way to saturated compared to originals

I am a construction worker. Most of my work is in infrastructure, making buildings. Its heavy duty work, with most work weeks totaling at 50+ hours. I can tell you: Jacksons orcs moce and walk just like a laborer. When i watch them, i wince, because I know just how pained they are in the joints. Its uncanny artistry, I think, and very fitting for Isengard and Mordor.

New one sounds a bit like an upset toddler I'm not the only one hearing that?

ROP orc design is one of the few non-bad things they did in ROP. They're not bad. Jackson's orcs came from his b horror movie background. (Why have an earring made of a chainmail patch?)

PJ orcs are top notch

it's crazy how good LotR orcs actually look and sound. We will never again get movies as great as Lotr and Harry Potter, it was the golden age of cinema idgaf what anyone of you says otherwise. today's movies aren't bad but just very forgettable compared to sagas like lotr

A friend of mine who is big on the lore of Tolkiens universe refused to watch this show on trailers alone. I know the basics of the lore, even the masterpiece of the Silmarillian, and while I refused to watch the series as a whole I do watch clips. And when I showed my friend ROPs Wargs he was like "that looks more like a changling with those eyes".

You know I kinda love the RoP, just like the hobbit and Lotr... I'm just content to be able to see and experience more of this universe.. Even Tolkien was known to contradict his previous works when making new character connections.. I think both wargs are cool in their own right 😅

They all do look amazing. No matter if time flows, Weta Workshop is always killing it when making prosthetics.

what I don't get is why they decided to make the fire a completely monotoned yellow. 2001 has so much life in it because of the red, orange and yellow flames. this is also more true to life, because different parts of a flame have different temperatures (red<yellow<blue). So even though the modern fire sim is much better, it ends up looking less realistic because the flames are all the same hue.

Technically ugluk, the guy that says “meats back on the menu boys!” Is an Uruk hai, which is a different species than an orc

The toilet rings of power warg looks like a cute puppy. While the Lord of the Ring’s looks like a freak of nature!
