Do you know if this is the steepest player-walkable staircase that is not directional? Given the common claim that the first you show is the steepest overall, and that this is one block shorter, it seems likely. But maybe there’s something that goes up five blocks for every two horizontally, or something weird like that.

what i've done a few times is with a piston push glass in an armour stand that way you can still see it and you can put some shiny armour on it. What i also sometimes do is make a fish bowl for one fish and to make this you'll need 3 trapdoors (2 if you put it in a corner and 4 if it is not against a wall) 1 chest, a glass block and any fish, what you are gonna do is put the chest where you want it and then put the trapdoors around the chest and glass on the top of the chest then shift richt click on the chest with your fish in a bucket, the fish wont be able to move around though, you can repeat it next to each outher but make shure the chest is waterlogged so the fish doesn't drown. Btw love your vids keep going Ps: how is it going with the railway i'd love to see it.

for lighting for the train tracks you could put glowstone or sea lanterns under moss carpet you h=get the best result if you do 5 blocks between each licht source. and maybe you could decorate it with minature buildings that you have at your base. love the outro btw
