Very good Tony, this was one missing tutorial in your series, I guess this is the same method for rivets. My only concern is that if you create molds, you need to sand them to get a smooth surface before you lay down carbon or fiberglass, how do you deal with the panel lines since they are raised? Hello, Builder!! very good job!! I like how you finish your molds, I work on a design of my own, and I would like to finish them fiber, but I can't achieve that finish. The PLA deforms with the friction of the sandpaper. I don't know how to solve that problem😢. I wait for your new video!!😊

Thanks so much for the awesome video ' very clad to find it as soon i will start a three meter glider, and not sure which is best. Glass over foam core or glass over basa, doo \ you think the balsa one would be lighter than the foam, I'm sure it would be stronger if not too much resin is removed.. What grade of glass cloth did you use sure looked nice and light..the lightest cloth i can get here in N Z is 2oo gram per meter. Thanks again, i learned heaps from your video please keep them coming.

Love the plane, but I'm a Bambu user now... Gave all the Ender's away to the nephew so he could learn. 😪 Don't want to buy another Ender after getting the Bambu. It just works. Plain and simple. It just works. It is more like a tool vs a training aid...

Nice video !!! how would someone blend the wings in this model. im still stuck figuring out how to blend the wings and watched your other video about blending the wing but cant apply it to this model. i also think it will be better to model the entire plane so people dont get stuck in the fuselage.

Love the videos they’ve been super useful for me learning fusion. I’m trying to design a plane now. I’ve done the analysis for the airfoil and wing geometry. But I’m getting hung up on some of the small details. I would love to see the modelling for that latch as well as motor mounts and servo mounts. Just different ways of fastening things to 3d prints

Why aren't there any final versions of the drawings? They all have a beginning but no end, unfortunately. Can you finish the Harrier plane for us?

I don't like doing 3D printed molds mainly because you can't really do any panel lines or other details, because you risk losing those details with all the sanding and prep. The other issue is you can't vacuum bag because the air pockets inside the mold will collapse. You can get away with not vacuum bagging the fuse though. As for foam core or built up wings, you're the second person I've heard talking about this. I think it's a neat idea, 3d print the fuse and make the wings the traditional way. Although, I've managed to make a strong 3D printed wing, just a little concerned about gear punching through on a hard landing.

What did you learn about printing molds? I'm looking to do the same thing with large RC sailing yachts.

I see that Eclipson models have this feature but I am unclear as to how to design it in while maintaining vase. Thanks!

Hi Tony, nice one. I'm currently learning Fusion with the ultimate aim to build RC airplanes. For this specific GeeBee I think it is ok to simplify things a bit (for the sake of ease, speed of drawing and overall smoothness of the resulting model). E.g. not follow any formers and let Fusion come up with something. But I think you took it too far around the fin part. It would be better to follow the fuselage and to add the fin & rudder later, similar to the stabilo. As they are definitely not ovals there, but pretty much a flat profile that is intersecting with the fuselage.

Can you please guide me from where do you download these plans with formers???

Twin 70mm fans would be a nice scale for the 3d printable version
