Why would I want a cod game to be realistic? I’m not looking to actually be put into war. I would rather camos be glowing and bright than slow and boring. I like the skins and partnerships with other franchises. I don’t understand why people want realistic camos and realistic blueprints.

I was a firmly hater of the cosmetic changes from millsim to whatever fortnite bs cod has become but after playing bo6 i realized that this direction of random crossover, super saturated colors, neon and not grounded art direction fits way better what cod is now. Cod is not a real world combat with grounded, defined period and look. It was once, but now with the push to have as many people as possible appealing to every niche and taste possible, cod is a fps shooter , thats it. Its not a military multiplayer or millsim, is not a tactical modern combat shooter, is not a historical shooter not even a sci-fi shooter. Cod is now a platform with guns and mechanics to later receive whatever is popular and sell these cosmetics so everyone that enjoy anything possible can have a reason to download cod. Im not annoyed anymore simply because I dont think a grounded modern army combat game fits into cod’s current style of gameplay, in fact since cod 4, we have a game that was always a arcade pretend to be a soldier game with easy of entry . When i think about wanting to play a good shooter that represent a modern army combat, I dont think cod was ever close to what I expected and general gameloop that could never reach the fun and feel that bf developed. I recently started ti okay bfV , hell let loose and the more i olay the more im sure that cod doesn’t see itself as anything else besides of a platform to receive other ips and then provude a shooting game against the most rabdom characters you can have

DMZ is the right direction. It’s not perfect, by my favorite by far. Also has a super active player base, so you’ll never wait longer than a minute to find a match. Big, explorable, technically-impressive maps (Al Mazrah) launch you into a sandbox experience where you could simply engage in PVP, or go full-on stealth & try to do something unique. It’s freeform, it’s gritty, it takes serious planning and execution - it’s what call of duty’s next “identity” ought to be.

Advanced warfare may have had really really bad monetization and I don’t agree with the monetization scheme. They went with especially considering call of duty at that time was heavily marketed towards teens and children who would spend large amounts on loot boxes but it also probably had the best character customization of any call of duty game character felt unique and you would almost never see people with the exact same gear as you unless it was the “new” hottest gear like royalty gear

They went with way more attention to detail, better and more realistic graphics and improved animations but then just dumped all kinds of goofy skins in the game.

Busted guns in battle pass, paying more to get said busted gun faster - that sounds about right for the current trend of monetization in CoD since 2019

remember the days when you could get a game for 20 bucks and have a full complete game that you could enjoy for years? now days you're paying $70 for a half complete game with microtransactions shoved down your throat as you get spoon fed content that should have been in the game from the start. oh, and once the game is finally complete, we're releasing a new one in a few months that's basically the same game with a new coat of paint and slight gameplay differences for another $70, gotta do that grind all over again!

Economically speaking, it makes zero sense to buy games here in Brasil. You'll likely have to cough up around R$400 to R$500 for a brand new release, and then they still make a shop full of macro transactions that cost as much as a game would cost in the US. The battle pass for MWIII alone is around R$60.

My last cod was cold war and i loved it. When vanguard came out i lost interest till now and started to play warzone, plus i am hyped for bo6. I think that warzone has issues like the meta weapons are locked behind battlepass, you can get stuck in some parts of rebirth island, not having the option to play trios and all of the skins from wz 1 are lost or at least only playable on mw2019. The rest is good imo, like the movement and graphics. Kinda annoyed that it takes up 200gb of space.

Idk I think the games are fun and I’ve been waiting for bo6 since Cold War finished and it looks exactly how k expected it to, I dont get why some people have the expectation it would look different. It’s a sequal by the same devs with the same art design. The same way bo4 looked like bo3 and bo2 looked like bo1

The skins in COD has gotten so ridiculous. Why is Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, Cheech & Chong along with all the others even in their games? They’re not relevant to COD. I didn’t mind when the Rambo skin came out because Rambo is military related and is relevant. I would like to see and play as G.I Joe characters like Cobra Commander, Snake Eyes, Duke, Gung-Ho and other characters like them in COD because they’d be relevant to COD. I just started MW3 through xbox , one thing i notice is that each time I got a new gun or huge upgrade the next match it throws me into gun game, so I have to play another one to try the new guns
