    I appreciate the hard work put into making this video! Whether intended or not, it's framed as being a departure from the exercises given by other instructors but the result is you essentially assembling a few regularly suggested exercises to do in one quick session, the thing that's already recommended by most instructors. Just the first channel you show has featured pretty much every optional segment of a warm up that you mention, even making it a point often that mindless practice is counterproductive and to change up what you warm up with. Not every video needs a big caveat but just changing the phrase to "MY perfect warm up" would really help it feel less like a clickbait thing for anyone who's already got some art experience. I like a lot of what you share on your channel but was really out of by this.

    • @GoodJoeArt
      @GoodJoeArt 2 місяці тому

      Totally get where you are coming from here. If you can point me to another video that does hit all of the categories mentioned in my warm-up that would be enlightening. I'm a fan and subscriber to these other art channels and so far I haven't seen someone put it all together in one video and describe it as bluntly as I have. That's why I felt the need to make it. Thanks for the feedback. Truly.

    From renaissance to Berserk likely would take less than 500 years. You could likely build a model from the works of Asian and European printmakers works. Throw in some random sumi-e stuff and whatever random filler for a big enough database. It's just really bad gotcha, that only works when you don't know enough about AI and/or history of art.

    • @GoodJoeArt
      @GoodJoeArt 2 місяці тому

      You say its likely that a model could be built to produce a Berserk. Are there any examples of something like this being done yet? What I've seen so far are cheap imitations. Forgive me for being skeptical.

    • @leohuxtable439
      @leohuxtable439 2 місяці тому

      @@GoodJoeArt There are no examples, because no one has any incentive to build the model you're asking for. I believe your original stipulation was no images after renaissance. Depending was it just artwork or also real life objects (nature, humans etc.), how inefficient the model would be. But like I said, there's a very clear route from renaissance to Berserk and it took 500 years for the superior man to get there. I think AI can do it in less time.

    • @leohuxtable439
      @leohuxtable439 2 місяці тому

      @@GoodJoeArt Oh yea and this is a theoretical problem, because the solution is currently convoluted, tedious, expensive and time consuming. The exact rules determines the degree of the above. Things that make it less clunky, are stuff like img2img, chain iteration, in painting, ability to create loras, refine the model and other random stuff. Creating one off panels will always be easy with just the model and nothing but prompting. A page is also doable, but if you're looking at creating a single issue, then that's when all that other stuff becomes important. In any case all of the above is faster, if you can draw initial sketches, use random digital art software and basic editing tools. A practical use case with gen AI today for something like a webtoon, would be refining sketches, creating minor objects, some backgrounds, inking, some coloring work and similar stuff. Most of the above would require creating your own character, style, inking and/or coloring loras. A very rough estimate for the breakpoint when it becomes efficient to create loras would 50+ panels.

  • @AntOninPortequoi

    amazing video! I personally just do flats by separating them into different layers at the start, I have the art layer, then I create a layer folder for the colours, in which I do those separate layers of flats, and then, onto each layer( named like" background walls" or" sky" or even " skin" )I add new layers to put the real colour, some shading and effect if needed. was just colouring a comic book cover when watching your video
