      I wonder if the band places are still there? I never hear any music coming from any of the places around there. I used to be in a band. And it was always fun to get together with the guys in the studio. The studio was my second home and like the boys club. We didn’t play, any venues but we did play a lot of good music just for ourselves. So I guess we weren’t a band guy playing music. Thank you for watching. Thank you for your nice comments. @@JoyCool1 I'd be very surprised if they were still there. they were very dangerous back in the 90's so I can't imagine how bad it is now. Besides I don't know how many bands are around Oakland anymore. You probably remember when Guitar Center was downtown (on San Pablo Ave.?) before they moved to the Berkeley location. They had to move because it was so bad they would have security guards escort you to your car else your new guitar would get robbed 100%. From what my parents said Oakland was very safe in the 1950's... down hill after that.

    Yes. They have a diaphragm replacement assembly kit that goes through the top. Where it is leaking from. Sometimes you can kill the water take apart the top ONLY and crack the water on to flush any debri out then reinstall. Other then that tell them its a fixture replacement instead of repair. Because its the same to replace as it is to repair

    So the part where the locomotive stopped a few times is called a switch back. It makes it easier to ascend/descend a lot of elevation in not a lot of space. There used to be a trestle loop that took care of that elevation change, and you can see it in the video. It caught fire over a decade ago and the state wouldn’t allow them to fix it.

    Hey Jim, I have an unrelated question. I'm in the process of starting my own business. Given how the easiest way to go bankrupt is to start bidding on new constructions, I'm headed into inspections and service. I'm currently going through the inventory needed to start and I'm already at 500+ items! I'd like to know if you think I should keep at least one of each common sprinkler in white/brass? I have multiple suppliers nearby, but I'm worried that I might end up having to replace a sprinkler in the middle of the night and that there's no spares in the cabinet. Is this something you come across frequently? Do you carry 50+ different sprinklers in your truck? Thank you for taking the time to upload videos.

    • @JoyCool1
      @JoyCool1 7 днів тому

      Yeah, that’s a great question. I usually have a few different styles I carry on my truck. Thankfully I don’t get called for service calls a lot. But I usually keep a three-quarter pant half inch pendant half inch upright three-quarter inch upright. But yeah, my truck is full of different fire sprinkler heads that I never use. I should probably make a video of what’s in my truck. I used to keep it organized, but the crooks come out at night so I just leave my truck unlocked and leave a mess and it kind of confuses them when they open it up. That’s almost an interesting video. Like some of these videos are getting redundant but maybe I’ll just keep making them.? Thank you for watching. Thank you for your nice comments. Good luck with your new business. Stay strong, strong and healthy. Bye-bye.

    Do you have to notify 911 Dispatch that you will be doing a test? We get a lot of Fire alarm runs where the fire protection company is onsite testing and the call still comes in.

      @JoyCool1 12 днів тому

      I’m sorry that this video is confusing. And it’s a second part. I should’ve probably mentioned in the video to begin. But yes, the newscast at the end make it clear what happened. They coward killed his old family and his in-laws. I do not like making these kind of videos, but it was right near my neighborhood so it made, I felt so bad and had to share how evil is in this world. I know that God always wins but evil can still score points. Thank you again for watching. Thank you again for your nice comments. Stay strong and healthy. Bye-bye.

      Wow, you are showing your age! You have been around a while. I know that Mervins hasn’t been around in a while? But I do know that Southshore Café is a good family owned restaurant that seems to have good food for a OK price. But nothing is a great price anymore. You know that. Thank you again for watching. The reality is, God gave free will. Evil has been limited. What we experience is nothing compared to what God says No to sometimes. Like in the Court system, a person cannot be judged and held accountable for a sin they did not commit. Of all things, there is good and evil in the world. Being aware of things happening, good and bad, is suitable in life. Make sure everyone, don't drown yourselves completely on one. Know there's a balance in life.

      Wow! Well said. I do agree with you totally! Thank you for all those kind words. That was quite a comment. And very well said. Yes, you were right. About good and evil and good always will win but evil still is playing the game. And every once in a while like in this story evil scores but God always wins! Thank you for your service! And yes, a lot of people say it has changed and that’s kind of why I’m making these videos. Because some of these buildings will not be up very long? And there are so many people that seem to like to watch these Alameda Naval base videos? It does bring back memories for a lot of servicemen. So I should start taking out there more and fly this strong? by the way, this is the only place I could really fly at safely without getting mugged in Oakland and having no problems being by myself flying a drone. Thank you again for watching and thank you again for your nice comments. Stay strong and healthy. Bye-bye.
