Hi yes you have to disconnect the hybrid system, make sure it’s done by someone qualified. Then the ECU must be removed as this component is located underneath and I would recommend taking pictures of the connections as they remove it makes it easier to re fit. Thank you

Hi It’s a heat exchange valve, the reason why we did that was because there was no heat in the cabin at all because the valve was stuck and the hot air was simply returning instead of going to the heater matrix / Core.

@MotorModz I appreciate it. Mine work few seconds on EV mode, when ICE kick in, it shut off immediately, only cold air. Dealer quoted Electric Auxilary Water Heater is faulty. That is $1,800 part, vs this $300 part. 🙏🏼

Hi yes it did, it’s a common issue. This vehicle has a very complicated heating system it’s a good place to start by either replacing this or modifying by removing the rod.

Hi Not on the NEW models! But on the older models you have to because that’s the only way you can get the belt on. :)

@@dawidj6202 Tbh there is no need, just lock them with the timing tool mark them and replace what’s required and put the belt on.

Hi These new cars are really good even the small engine ones, we haven’t had any major issues with these so far since they quite new. But they suffer from heating problems because have such a complicated cooling system, if you are planning to buy one make sure you buy warranty it’s worth the extra cost. Thank you

The timing belt is not linked to the oil pump on these models.
