Spoiled by terrible supporting cast…. Some real z list panto actors. Even getting three actors back from an iconic 90s Scottish film couldn’t help it. Spall was wasted in this, it’s also emotional porn for the sake of it….

I so loved this film, I cried at the end. Perfect historically, perfect visually. Love and loss then love again. Here's to all the lassies from the Hebrides who went to NY and did so well

Interesting plot, but horrible, horrible, wooden acting. The guards sounded like disney villains. It was almost embarrassing to watch. Long, drawn out scenes. Cheesy dialog. 4/10

Just watched this. Timothy Spall is excellent, but the characters he encounters are nearly all broadly drawn caricatures and the story progresses through the usual predictable tropes.

What a brilliant film,Spall is a superb actor loved it ❤

I rarely ever leave a comment on a UA-cam video, in fact I can't remember when the last time I did so. However, maybe like some of you, the reviews left in the comment section of movie trailers, I value quite a lot. This movie is brilliant. It's moving, suspenseful, dramatic and allows you to consider many of the important themes throughout. I will say however, it does need a trigger warning for sexual assault/rape so please be mindful.

And the Oscar goes to, The Road Dance! 💯% Loved it from beginning to end. I was blown away by the climax, I was like, 'Wait. whaaat??😳 The acting was the best I've seen in ages, especially for a true life story. Definitely recommended 10/10🎯
