Cram and slam. That’s my soap on a stick motto. Cram it in the mold and slam it on the counter. Fast! Lol!

When it accelerates quick, I just cram it in the mold as fast as I can! Some of those reviews are a little suspect.

You can’t stick blend anything to accelerate. Soap has a mindset of its own. Fragrances, additives and room temperature makes the batter accelerate. I think you should have stick blended more. I add an extra 20g of water to soap batters with fragrance that accelerates. It gives me an extra few minutes if I’m doing multiple colors. Additives are usually 1tsp per lb of oils. I would suggest slamming the mold onto the floor (hard) between layers. It works out air pockets. You did a good job. There is no judgement in soap making. Just fun.

I didn't even read the title 😅 I clicked because I saw the thumbnail and said to myself "I wanna see how this person did this" Also, I don't see many men making soap so I'm glad to see there are other guys interested. I thought I was alone.

Just a little curious are you spritzing the tops of your soaps with a high percentage Isopropyl alcohol? And Ellen over at Ellen Ruth Soaps steams the tops of her soaps after the cure and before she cut bars with a clothe steamer...I 've tried it and it works pretty well!!!...Just a lil sum sum that maybe you could try.

Blue Agave is a beast!! The easiest way to tame it is to make it a solid colored soap. Use unscented colors & make the top special. It's worth it, it smells fabulous!

Yes darlin’, major judgement coming. You have an accelerating fragrance...why didn’t you put your colorant in first? And since you weren’t putting the FO in the gold, why didn’t you mix that first...then mix the AC? Which, by-the-way, you really don’t have to pre-mix. And it wouldn’t have made a difference.

Also, you can put a piece of freezer or wax paper under your soap when you cut, so they can glide through the cutter. If this ever happens again, take that same freezer or wax paper, lay it on the soap, and smooth it down 9ne layer at a time. Believe me, I've down this. Bars came out smooth. And those bars are great I like the abstract.💖
