      True but Leatherman discontinued their Juice and squirt series, leaving only the Micra. There’s still a market for keychain and 3” tools

      I feel ya, the Crunch is the only pair of locking pliers I own so it gets used, but a regular pair of vice grips would work just as well, Just nowhere near as cool or compact. Check around locally, some less-trafficked places still have them

    The Spirit package opener does work really good but I like the Leatherman Rev/Wingman package opener the best. The new Victorinox Companion has a very good package opener as well. I open alot of plastic packaging and I like changing up my multitool carry. If my plier multitool doesn't have a package opener, I carry my Victorinox Companion. They all make it so much easier and it's both safer for you and your item inside. I used to go slower with a knife, and I never damaged or cut myself, but with these, it's so much easier. As a whole, the Spirit X is the best multitool I own. My Rebar is my most used and my Rev is my most casual carry, since it's thin, lite, and has a solid pocket clip, but the tools are not the best, besides the package opener, which should be on other tools.

    A few years ago, a customer of mine wanted me to build his iPod into his Swiss army knife, and I put it together with a wooden cover in such a way that it also functioned as a money clip, because I screwed and glued the part of the clip into the body.

      Yes, it’s on the corner of the chisel, technically it’s for cutting wire laterally. There are two wire stripping notches below it as well.

    I like this but im curious. The leatherman bits are the reason i stopped bying leatherman. They are soft and don't work unless whatever is already loose. Have you tested these bits? I recently bought a bibury 19-1 multi tool for the first time in many years. Leatherman has lost it's way in my opinion. Any mechanic will tell you plyers should never be made of stainless.

    • @Kayakatools
      @Kayakatools 15 днів тому

      I have not, I doubt they’re any better. I don’t have much experience w LM bits because I mainly carry my P4 or a swisstool spirit. I like the reach of a dedicated Philips
