If gf is the 5th victim then it'd have to have either two souls or gf and fredbear is not the same. Does that not make sense? Following that, if gf is the 5th according to the grave order then either the crying child is not in gf or not anywhere as a spirit perhaps being attached to Michael but that is not the point so I believe gf is a separate soul from cc whether it's Cassidy or someone else does not matter in said case there should be at least two souls to follow the grave order and the bite of 83 if gf contains cc that is.

Last week i was compelled to make a short about this too. When i read it i immediately thought of it as a reference to the bite of '87. The withereds werent supposed to be walikng around but they did anyway, even Ralph says in FNAF 2 "did you see foxy in the hallway?". They know they can walk around, they probably had that function from the location prior to FNAF 2's location and disabled it during the day when they reopened in FNAF 1's location. The biggest argument for the Toy animatronics is the fact that they were decommissioned after FNAF 2 however, Foxy was also decommissioned too. He has been out of order since reopening. I believe the Toys were decommissioned after their facial recognition software was tampered with by William Afton on one of the later days of FNAF 2 and they began to exhibit strange staring behavior and Foxy was placed out of order until technicians were able to detect whatever malfunction cause Foxy to walk out of Parts and Service and attack the day guard. Of course they never did. I think the hint in The Week Before is a reference to the Bite of '87 and not a hypothetical other bite, it just makes more sense to me to hint about something that exists rather than something that doesnt exist unless of course its a red herring. But i don't blame anyone for thinking it's Mangle, I think there's enough evidence to make a case for either honestly.

Since the bite is what stopped animatronics being able to walk around during the day, I don't think it makes sense for it to be a withered animatronic that wouldn't be used then anyway

I think it's important to note that there are some continuity contradictions within the book itself (like Ralph saying he took his daughter to Freddy's when she was 7, as well as him saying he's never taken her to Freddy's at all), so finding out things like when the book takes place based on counting the years based on Coppelia's age and cross-referencing with other lines in the book isn't the most reliable.

The Bonus Item is only called Cell Phone, not Bronwen's Phone like the original game mode. When I went through it I was under the impression that the Bonus Item was just Ralph's phone.

Something that doesn’t make sense to me is this tip being passed around by employees after the bite despite us using this same exact tip before it in FNAF 2. Even weirder that Ralph has to remember this considering he taught us it in FNAF 2 .

It could symbolize that Mangle did the Bite. And Ralph probably wants OG Foxy out of order despite the fact Foxy probably didn’t, it was Mangle. And yet, Mangle is referred as “Foxy” by Phone Guy in FNAF 2, ironically “Toy Foxy” So I’m sure Ralph wanted Foxy to be deactivated since Foxy animatronics have sharp teeth. That’s what I’m getting from TWB 🤷‍♂️

I have some things to say after reading a few comments here. (English isn't my native language, so there may be some grammatical errors) "If he's the purple guy, why is he yellow?" Do you also think the blue curtains just happened to be blue and can't mean another thing? Like, let's put on our interpretation glasses to see how a game known for its cryptic way of telling its plot wouldn't just make the MM character flat out purple to show and give it away that it's Afton on a silver platter. 1- Afton isn't literally purple, we can start there. "Oh, but he isn't yellow either", and he also isn't naked in the game alongside with him having no defyninng features. It just comes down to a stylistic choice; 2- Purple and yellow are opposite colors// Springbonnie is yellow // Afton has yellow text on fnaf 4 (Fredbear plush). So connecting Afton to the yellow color isn't a choice that comes out of nowhere; 3- Every other instance we saw purple guy as purple, it was from an pov that wasn't his. I won't exactly quote the "what's seen in the shadows..." stuff, although I agree about its connection, because a lot of people here in the comments are taking it literally and at face value. What I'll say, though, pretty much means the same thing (but without causing that lighting discourse): in those examples, we're seeing him represented visually as the evil monster that guy he is, simple as that. On the other side, now, in MM, we're actually playing as William and he doesn't view himself in that way (There's also the argument that it could mean that he's putting up a "normal gay" persona, which I don't necessaraly disagree although I think it can be a bit shaky at times). 4- Now, this may be the most polarizing part of the things I'm talking about: the house. Althought it's possible that the Aftons' could've moved, I don't really think that's the case, because we've seen again and again the same house on the woods being shown throughout the games, and I don't see what we would gain from having the family move (especially considering how fnaf has a history of almost defieing space and logic by building stuff under and above old locations lol). But, assuming that it's the same house of fnaf 4, IMO the house interior layout changing comes down to game design and keeping the rythym of the minigame's narrative. While in fnaf 4 we had the opportunity to explore the house (and the neighborhood) to learn more, the MM doesn't seem to have that same objective, focusing more on the dialogues than the eviroment exploring, by changing the layout so we would get from one point to the other faster instead of exploring the house (that presumaly, by this point of view, wouldn't have any new things to show on its enviroments. Which can still be debatable, but Scott ultimately didn't want to show to us). 5- The tire marks left on the floor of Charlie's minigame was already enough proof connecting those two minigames, alongside being "Later that Night". And, now, all of the stuff from the car race game regarding the Midnight Motor car just emphasizes those things. "Oh, but how do we know if it's canon or not or if the dev team just decided to add that by their own?" the whole canon discourse is tiring to me, but if we can get clues from the books, I don't see how we can't also grab clues from this game; regarding the latter, after what happened with Security Breach, I don't think Scott would let those details pass if he didn't want to. For example, look at Into The Pit"s unused stuff, the minigames originally were about Vanny but got changed (most likely by Scott's hand deciding to restrain the Vanny storyline to Steel Wool) Regarding other stuff on the minigame outside of Afton, I belive Mike is the runaway (it just makes more sense for the narrative and is more consistent to the characters than the runaway being CC/Dave); Ms. Afton is on the couch (although, I don't think the person on the couch is really important, it could be Henry and nothing would change); and the foot prints could either be Golden Freddy teleporting or William putting and animatronic with a illusion disk or something to taunt Mike (I lean more towards it being about Golden Freddy, considering we don't see the animatronic there). For more in depth reasonings regarding those stances, I'd suggest the videos of Siresquawks (his MM videos, where he points how the person on the couch could be Ms. Afton) and RyeToast (his newer theory relating Old Man Consequecens with Mike). Ending on a random personal note: I hate the idea of Andrew existing on the mainline games. To me, it serves no purpose that can't be attributed to someone that already exists, like Cassidy for example.

I think the problem is less that people are looking too deep into things, and more that instead of coming to their own conclusions, people are relying too heavily on other people's theories to understand the story, to the point where they're acting like literally nothing in FNAF is confirmed so they don't have to think as hard.

I now know how you feel about FLAF confirming AftonMM, because I feel the exact same way about It's Me. I *really* dislike that it's just a thing that dead people say in the franchise, and not something specific to CC.

I don't think you were wrong. The car being an answer in a kart game seems more like the jokes making fun of dream theory and phone guy (Ralph) being William Afton than confirmation of anything.

This is genuinely the only Fnaf book I thouroughly enjoyed, and one of only 2 I can easily accept as part of the game's continuity. But you're absolutely right that the canon ending feels "wrong" because of the paradox being set up. Even ignoring the mobile phone entirely as crossing over from playthroughs, let's assume that's just a game mechanic - you still don't fix the paradox because the animatronics, after killing Ralph on Night 5, WOULD then escape the restaurant on night 6 and ravage the neighborhood, which would reasonably prevent the game Fnaf1 from happening. The direction I thought the book was going at first was that Phone Guy was already dead before the book even begins, and that some of the discrepencies would be cleared up by him realizing his current state and passing on - basically the "Bonus Item" just being the vessel to being him to terms with his past, as he goes through the recordings he already made through his final week before being killed on his last night. But if that were true, I feel like the canon ending would make that... clearer, I guess. Would feel less abrupt and weird. Like maybe he would have watched himself die to the onslaught and realize there was no Bronwen, there was no night 6, there was no mobile phone, he's just been caught in a loop - the "amnesia" of the night's events every morning, the repeated use of the visuals of eyes and teeth in abandoned costumes in supposed "dream" sequences (because Ralphs body was supposedly stuffed into a suit in the game), the animatronics being so "suddenly" aggressive and wanting Ralph so desperately dead (because hes already died at their hand, his "mind" is just trying to come to grips with it) etc. I think it would've cleaned it up really nicely. But as it actually ends, it's very strange

Actually I believe that Golden Freddy was pretending to be Bronwen because when you talk to her on night 5, she mistakes Bonnie's name for Jeremy's. How could she know that Jeremy possesses Bonnie?

"It's me" works really well as a call out of both anger and desperation. They're confused souls, screaming out so that someone, anyone, might hear them. They can't recognize any adults, so it both works as a "It's me, I'm here! Don't you see me?" As well as a "It's me, your victim. Don't you remember me?"

I think all the souls from people killed from the animatronics are taken by Golden Freddy. We know you don't immediately die in a suit so you wouldn't possess the suit anyway, especially when there is no endo skeleton in the suit since the animatronics think you are the endo. So all the souls that don't attach themselves to an actual animatronic it ends up in Golden Freddy, this also explains how Dave found his way into Golden Freddy as he never died in nor stuffed in an animatronic.
