      @@wendyayala9798 that’s actually not true at all. Most translation if you compare them side by side don’t vary much. The problem With this translation is it remove Jesus from being God in every way that it can, and it’s translated based on their own theology in order to make it true. All the regular non JW translations line up pretty well, it just depends on your preference on what’s easier to read or if you prefer a word for word or a paraphrase. The general meanings of the scriptures don’t really change at all though. Have you actually compared verse in different translations on websites like Bible hub? Go to there and pick and verse and it will show you many translations side by side. You’ll see there’s really not much difference. It’s quite a misconception to say you can’t trust any of them when they aren’t very different.

      @@wendyayala9798 if you believe that God is one but 3 persons, than Jesus can pray to the father. He does the same thing in the Old Testament in exodus 19:24 where it says that Yahweh tells Moses not the let the people come up the mountain because Yahweh is going to break out against them. He’s talking about himself in the 3rd person. If you don’t believe God can be 3 in one though this can be hard to understand, but there are many instances in the old and New Testament that show Gods being this way.

    I translate the New Testament Greek to English. I also compare the different Greek manuscripts as well as many of the popular English translations including the NWT. And this is my educated opinion on the NWT. It has its share of problems, like any translation does, but overall it is no more faithful or unfaithful to the Greek manuscripts than any of the other popular versions like to KJV, NSV or NIV. There are several passages that the NWT is a better translation than in the KJV. However any attempts by anyone to correct the errors in the KJV is almost always met with extreme prejudice and hostility.

      @@jdwagman even if the translation was ok in some places, the biggest problem I have is changing the John passage to say that Jesus is “a god”, and the fact that Jehovah’s witnesses believe Jesus not be a trinity or all supreme god…which shows in this translation. • @jdwagman
      @jdwagman 12 днів тому

      @@Women4Theology It is not ok in just some places, it is ok in most places. If it was horse race the NWT would be second place to the KJV only by a nose. But I don't like they way the put "a god" in John 1:1 either. I have spent many hours, even days, looking at this verse from every conceivable angle and I feel 99% sure that it should be "God" with a capital "G". Alexander the Great's Empire didn't developed Koine Greek with any words or grammar to determine "a god" from "The Only One God", because they were not a monotheistic culture. And in their culture, and in the Greco-Roman culture also, they would generally just say the name, "Jupiter", "Gronus", "Apollo" to distinguish which one they meant. Therefore the Hellenized Jews and early Christians only knew which one by the context. And it is still the way same today. Which is very obvious ... if one has a monotheistic perspective. The use of "a god" generally refers to a false god in the New Testament translations to English. Their "a god" may also suggest that there are more than just the one God. The use of a god was mostly used for kings and emperors. Alexander the Great was considered as a god in Egypt along with the some of the pharaohs. And even the One True God "The Maker" called gods those (men) to whom his word had gone to.

      @@jdwagman that’s very interesting and makes sense. I don’t care for the KJV. I don’t read it or use it. For me it’s not very relevant in today’s English and isn’t super useful for us today(not never obviously but enough to a point that it’s too confusing and cumbersome for me to use). The NWT just feels to me like they are translating it in such a way to match with their own theology, and when teach they use it to twist the scripture to say something it doesn’t.

As Christian’s we should not believe in energy fields and having control over them…that is a pagan idea. It’s witchcraft period. Burning incense or herbs for smell or prayer is not a problem. Sage burning is a common practice that is used in witchcraft. I used to do this a a means of "warding off evil spirits" or "negative energy" aka "smudging" and that is what it typically gets used for. I strongly discourage everyone from burning sage in this regard. It relates to "energy fields". We are forbidden to practice this kind of thing. This relates to Wiccan witchcraft. This is why I got out of this. Sage attracts evil demonic spirits. We should use the authority of Jesus to cast out demons and ask the Most High to help us get rid of demons. There is power in prayer. While the Bible in general does not oppose using insence, however, it was used for prayers and specific ordinances by the Levitical priesthood. Frankincense is a common incense that was used as a "fragrant aroma" for the Most High. Jesus was given Frankincense as a gift when He was born. It is one of the most expensive incense. If people are going to use incense, they should only use it for prayers to the Most High. Keep in mind, however, our prayers goes up as incense to the Most High as a fragrant aroma. It is more important that people align their hearts with the Most High God than to burn incense as a rutual practice. Excellent video. Thank you for sharing this. People need to know the truth about significance of utilizing sage incense. You saud it well

    😂 you need to go and study global history, every religion on the planet, astro-theology, etymology syncretism, as well as the original Bible and its origins because you do not understand anything about your own religion! Not only is every religion on the planet connected back to the original religions practice by the original humans who inhabited the earth, but pagan practices are encoded throughout your entire Bible! There have been an insane amount of mistranslations, and new things just made up out of thin air in your religion that makes you not only ignorant, but a literal hypocrite by definition! One of the first things I like to point out is that the original word for God and the original Bible is Elohim which has a plural connotation and means that there is more than one God!!! Also things like sun worship that people like you try to say are demonic, is literally where the idea of Christ comes from, and when it comes to Christ consciousness that has nothing to do with another person, and is literally about your DNA and you your anatomy!!! You also talked about Jesus who was not introduced until the 1800s as a word or a person, as well as the fact that Jesus is also linked to Lucifer and Satan in the original versions of the Bible!!!! Again you need an education because you are brainwashed!!!!! You are here spreading lies misinformation and fear-mongering people into doing things that are absolutely against their best interest like believing in churches /religions that spread this kind of BS for the purposes of control!!!! The last thing I will bring up in terms of burning things and Christianity is the link to Catholicism which I'm sure you're aware uses frankincense to elevate the spirit and manipulate energy that we cannot see physically, which is literally the same thing that people are doing when burning sage! Or Palo Santo for that matter! Or any other form of incense or resin that can be used for the same purposes!!! Christianity Catholicism and just about every religion acknowledge the fact that there is a spiritual realm that you cannot see with your actual physical eyes, but that exists just as much as everything else does, and that once you leave your physical body you will be a part of this other realm!!!! The difference is in religions have been created to divide and conquer humanity, and you are perpetuating this notion which is only going to cause more problems!!!! Feel free to respond to me and I will definitely be willing to educate you on all of your misinformation!!!!! Ps: you also use the term "new age" incorrectly (like most people in Christianity) because the new age is absolutely nothing new, and once again is the oldest information on the planet! Not to mention the fact that the Bible literally plagiarized things like The emerald tablets of thoth, the Dead Sea scrolls, and more! On and on and on it goes! Again you have no understanding of what you are even reading! Once you learn the original meaning of the words that were used in your bible, or mistranslated, you will understand that you are delusional! Along with all the other things I mentioned above that you need to study that have nothing to do with your religion in order to understand your own said practice, let alone every other one on the planet, you need to stop judging other people because according to your own religion the only one who can do that is God!

I choose not to use chemical laden sprays and air fresheners. With what you are saying, no one should be using any kind of air freshener with sage in it at all. It’s like saying we shouldn’t use plants as medicine, well, that is why God gave us the leaves of the plants, and there are many plants and leaves that do actually have antiseptic properties, and medicinal properties and they work, it’s what was used before the world started trusting Western medicine. Obviously we can see where that went. I intend to use them for what God made them for and be thankful that he created them for us. I want no part of this world, or it’s greed.

I actually mention in the end the scientific use, and how that’s not an issues and how it’s no different in that than using essential oils or herbs to make things smell nice or relax you…I even talk about how the priesthood burned incense and that whole thing…but if you are doing it to ward off evil or cleanse your house of negative energy that is the problem. Burning herbs to clean the air is not a problem clearly…why would it be? Watch the entire video and you will hear that is the point of the video. Not to use it in a new age way but not for people to use other excuses to keep doing it if that’s your reason for it. The title of the video is about whether or not it’s biblical to burn sage in reference to the reason many people are doing it, which is for witchcraft or new age purposes. Not in reference to burning it for a nice smell or whatever other reason. I even say that’s there no command to do or not to do it. This again is in reference only to those people burning sage to ward off evil or negative energy.

    Those forever criticising the J.W.s New World Translation, would do well to ask their readers to check the Bible they use, to see if the Creators name Jehovah, or Yahweh, has been replaced with Lord, or God. ! Only found in the King James Bible 4 Times., In the original Bible scrolls, his name is found in excess of 7,000 times. This is also confirmed by the "Dead Sea Scrolls". Found in 1947, near Khirbet Qumran, now mostly in the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. If that name is missing from your Bible, it comes under the ruling that covers ALL translations with missing and added text, found at Revelation 22v18-19......And as there are approximately 900, (R) 900, different English Bible Translations, (Google info.) The greater majority of them will be at fault. !.........

I agree that the versions that leave out his name should use his name…but if you read versions like the CBJ they do use his name and all the correct Hebrew names like yakov instead of Jacob, and cephas instead of Peter, etc…ect…. But regardless of what know whether you use an English name or not that doesn’t change the theology of those bibles. It just Anglicizes the name. It doesn’t not make Jesus God…. God bless you. This is a great topic to discuss. So many Christians are afraid to talk about this subject abd yet its all around us. There are so many ways people consciously and unconsciously get involved with witchcraft. It has been a known form of practice since the time of Enoch from Genesis that was forbidden for man to ever know. I pray people who are involved in the occult will come out of it repent and get right with Jesus. It can be very dangerous. I was once a wiccan witch and did terrible things to people and i regret it. I am glad i got saved by Jesus and came out of the occult. Witchcraft promotes demons to come in and posess and control people. This is why God condemns this as I condemn this. I'm so glad I got out of this. I was once blind, but now I see. I pray people will come out of this and be saved.

As we get closer to the Halloween season I really want to talk more about this topic and how Christians can unknowingly let it seep into their lives and wreak havoc! I never got involved in witchcraft per say but I was involved in new age stuff without being aware cuz it didn’t seem like witchcraft and I was ignorant to what it really was. Praise God you were released from those lies and saved by the messiah Jesus 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Second, It has been known that many mosques around the world do Not point to Mecca and some of the earlier ones face Not Jerusalem but Petra. Finally, Why is there no 'achocologial museum' after all the build undertaken since 1990?

    Re. 'a god' In Act28:6 there is the same or similar grammatical structure. Paul has just been bitten by a serpent and nothing happens, what did the people think?.. King James Version Acts 28:6 Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god. They said that he was A god. The greek says: ἔλεγον αὐτὸν εἶναι θεόν They began declaring him to be god. Why is an 'a' ok here? It happens often, you will see that. (Compare joh8:44 "a" murderer) Regardless, the 'a', as we see is not unique to NWT.... Here's some examples: •1808: "and the Word was a god" - Thomas Belsham The New Testament, in an Improved Version, Upon the Basis of Archbishop Newcome's New Translation: With a Corrected Text, London. •1822: "and the Word was a god" - The New Testament in Greek and English (A. Kneeland, 1822.) •1829: "and the Word was a god" - The Monotessaron; or, The Gospel History According to the Four Evangelists (J. S. Thompson, 1829) •1863: "and the Word was a god" - A Literal Translation of the New Testament (Herman Heinfetter [Pseudonym of Frederick Parker], 1863) •1864: "and a god was the Word" - The Emphatic Diaglott by Benjamin Wilson, New York and London (left hand column interlinear reading) •1885: "and the Word was a god" - Concise Commentary on The Holy Bible (R. Young, 1885) The list goes on but as you see, NWT is by no means unique.

      Thank you for this reply. Acts 28:6 ... ἔλεγον αὐτὸν εἶναι θεόν (they began declaring) him to be god. I like the way the word "began" is added to this translation. It is much better than "they said". Because the verb ἔλεγον (elegon) is in the Imperfect Indicative which connotes an ongoing, continuous, action in the past (it doesn't refers to a completed action). It could also be feasible to translated it as: ... ἔλεγον αὐτὸν εἶναι θεόν (they started saying) he was [a] god. I find that it is by not paying close attention to the grammar where most of the subtle translation errors occur.

    You are right on. Everything you said is true. When you ask them if this comes from Russell, Rutherford or Knorr, they don't know. All I have ever asked of any JW is to read their history from 1870's up, and they won't do it. It is a cult. I'm a Presbyterian, but I don't agree with everything John Calvin or John Knox said. But like you said, they are afraid. I enjoyed your video. God bless.

    John 1:1,14. Can the word, Jesus Christ be with God Jehovah and still be Jehovah God? Verse 14 says that the word became flesh and resided with us. Yes , Jesus Christ was created as a spirit in heaven and came down to earth as a fleshly man to pay from the son of Adam_Matthew 30:28, 1 Corinthians 15:22,45. Further more read Matthew 11:25_26 .A son knows that his father has authority over him , that he is not of the same age with his father. In the 2013 ed they LEFT the word OTHER and REMOVED the brackets. They are guilty of adding ( changing) God's word. Hate to be them.

    Would suggest stake is accurate as it is the direct Greek word used in the bible. Stauros (σταυρός) is a Greek word for a stake or an implement of capital punishment. The Greek New Testament uses the word stauros for the instrument of Jesus' crucifixion, and it is generally translated as "cross" in religious texts, while also being translated as pillar or tree in Christian contexts So bias can be the culprit depending on which translation one uses.
