    60 minutes to cook in the instapot ?

      When I select Mutigrain, the actual cooking time is 35 minutes. However, it (at least mine) won’t start cooking rice until 25 minutes later. I think it’s soaking the rice during the fist 25 minutes... I said 60 minutes so that home cooks can prepare ahead of time instead only 35 minutes before. I hope this explains.

    That looks tasty. Any advice for if I swap out the pork for chicken? I guess I'd need to add a small amount of oil to the pan to compensate for the leaner chicken meat.

      Thanks. I didn’t make it because I ended up throwing it away each time I made it. This is our actual dinner, and my family is not into sauce. They think it’s unnecessary. Other than for the photo shoot, I must say it is unnecessary in terms of flavors. 😉 Besides, I am just a home cook, and sauce takes time.       Thanks for the comment. The caterpillar roll is not something I invented. Every sushi restaurant we have been to that has caterpillar roll on the menu has avocado on it. This is how sushi restaurants serve in the U.S., and I am simply sharing how I make my caterpillar rolls. As you may guess, the name caterpillar came from the green color from avocados. Since avocados are a staple food in my household, we absolutely love caterpillar rolls!!! I hope this answers your question. Happy cooking!!!

Check out the video on How to cook perfectly charred mushrooms! Mushrooms need to be cooked/ prepared differently than other vegetables! Happy cooking!

    OMG you just removed the fat!!!! That’s sacrilegious. The fat will melt and help cook the meat to perfection. 🤦🏻‍♂️

      LOL, thanks for the comments. I understand your concern, but let me assure you that the meat was juicy and tender. It’s like cooking Filet mignon. It has no fat, yet it’s the most tender, juicy meat, if it’s properly cooked. Sometimes, I do cook lamb without trimming fat because I don't want to do all that work. You should have seen my family’s face. They weren’t happy….Hey, they can't have their way all the time! LOL! In the past, I also made Demi Glacé and ended up throwing most of it away because my family thought it was unnecessary. You know how long it takes to make that sauce, right? Since then, I have stopped making it. Hey, Good for me. No complaints here. Anyway, eating is like a habit. If you eat light, that’s what you want and enjoy, and vice versa. We eat light or at least try to eat light in general. Happy New Year and have a wonderful day!

Although I acknowledge certain cooks/chefs follow the french cuisine refined approach, my preference is to follow techniques that help me put delicious food on the table as quickly as possible to feed my hungry guests and free some time for myself. But hey! there's no right or wrong here just different ways. Peace!
