I have a 2 story house and changed out both my Air Conditioning units by myself, with a little help guiding the heat pump up into the attic so I did not scratch up the walls. Early fall, a cool month in summer or spring is a good time to change out your air conditioners. This video is about upgrading the front suspension and brakes. The early models 2006 on up Land Rover and Range Rovers have an issue with the front end clunking every time you hit a small bump in the road or by tapping the brake quickly. How did you( test ) to determine the valve wasn’t functioning as designed?

    • @DRCProductions
      @DRCProductions Рік тому

      Verify valve is opening and closing to valve set points. See chart and verify. If it is working the there is a different problem occurring. Put a thermocouple where the valve sensing bulb is located, It’s nice to have Bluetooth sensors so you can run graphs.

      I spoke with Copeland and they they said depending on my compressor, it can be the 193degree or 256degree ( I believe) it’s stamped on the side of the valve body… it does have a SOV upstream so that it only get liquid when the contactor is pulled in.

    Is there such a thing as a quick TXV test without opening the system?

    • @DRCProductions
      @DRCProductions 2 роки тому

      Use your your senses first Vision, is there frost on the pipe leaving the TXV? Touch, feel the valve for temperature differential. Hearing, listen - is the valve whistling, low charge? Smell, can you smell refrigerant? Senses will get the obvious and use meters and gauges for verifying your god given senses. Cheers!

    When you clean Txv valve does need to vacuum suction line or either shout down unit and clean txv valve and put back together and turn unit back on ?

    • @DRCProductions
      @DRCProductions 2 роки тому

      Low temp you usually need to pull a vacuum. Any time you open up a system you should pull vacuum, this particular case had valves in the case so it was a quick evacuation. I cannot say that I have never done a quick purge and merge DRC method of reassembly of the valve. Sometimes valves are not holding somewhere in the system and there is always a slight positive pressure blowing by the valve during disassembly which I consider no air introduction into the system. Hence purge and merge. Always take into consideration of existing conditions.

      @@DRCProductionsso you pump it down and disassemble. Any txv that look like the one in video (at a 90 degree angle) has a screen? Also if you have a leaky past the valves, do you evacuate also and just make up for the lost gas?

Propel doesn’t advertise on their site anymore since they have a new version of front lights but you can still email them and they will sell it to you $19 each and they will fit the Endeavor 2. Once you have these plates then you can buy the 45 angle plates from shred lights to attach.

The intention was for secondary glycol loops in supermarkets, but I think they have some other great uses as well. As with their EXVs, the valves are affordable but the controllers are expensive.

      The compressor label on the top was brown from over heating. It was running but bypassing discharge gas internally. it was very hot and the valve was not feeding. Years of experience has taught me to use my free tools. Sight, smell, feel and hearing. Changed the compressor and valve then tested the valve which began to feed after I restated the compressor, when in doubt change it out.

    • @donalddperez
      @donalddperez 4 роки тому

      Ebrahim Tirgardoun the compressor was overheated and fried. While the compressor was running, it was hot and the injection valve was not feeding. Put a thermocouple on the outlet of the valve and one on the top of the compressor. It’s supposed to open when it gets hot. Don’t know the exact specifications but you’ll see the valve temperature out drop when it feeds and cools the compressor. Simulate a hot compressor by covering part of the condenser. Thanks for the question 🤙
