INSTEAD OF EXPLAINING THE PROCESS, WHY NOT DEMONSTRATE STEP BY STEP HOW TO TEST THE SYSTEM? TESTING THE SYSTEM FOR INTEGRITY IS THE BEST WAY PEOPLE LEARN HOW TO IN THESE TYPE OF SYSTEMS.
You never touched in whether it’s a single or double interlock and explained what each is to the end user. And those aren’t old systems of air holding back water. That’s called a dry system. There are no pull stations in pre action systems. There’s a pull station on the trim kit but that’s it. That bypasses the solenoid and dumps the power water. Lastly I would hope there’s some type of drain on the system or else you have no way of doing a full trip which is required by code every 3 years.
There is a pull station that trips the valve if the smoke detectors fail. I also have an inspectors test installed. As I explained to everyone it takes two things for water to be released. (Double interlocked)
You have pull stations that open the solenoid?
Yes. Remember valve will not trip until there is air loss. (When head fuses)
Ummm yes the valve will trip without loss of air. Manual pull on the valve or two smokes. Don’t need loss of air to trip the valve bud.

Nice! Check the Spanish version on our channel!

Robert Simbaya The fire suppression system is good in any industry and all governments in the world should measure it and put it in operation to avoid property loss and lives
WHOS HERE TRYING TO FIND THE GUY IN TD

yes maintenance people. never assume they know anything.
Thanks
Hi, I have to service a kentec conventional panel with fm200 gas suppression system for vital rooms. I want to change the bateri es but still don't want the solenoid on the cylinder to be charged otherwise it will trigger the alarm. If i still power the panel off and change the batteries I am a bit scared of the surge when power is back on. If i isolate it with the pin that is attached to the fm200 bottle is fine, but I am a bit cautious because still might be a tiny surge to trigger the gas release. can you tell me if you can please how to change the batteries on a FA panel ? batteries are of a 12v dc 7ah yuassa make. Thx
CHANGING THE BATTERIES IN THE FACP DOESN'T DO MUCH TO THE SYSTEM. THE FACP WILL GET BATTERY TROUBLE JUST LIKE ANY OTHER FACP. MAKE SURE WHEN THE TROUBLE COMES IN, TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE TROUBLE, AND SILENCE THE PANEL. CHANGE YOUR BATTERIES ACCORDINGLY AND THE PANEL WILL GO BACK TO NORMAL.
THREE YEARS AGO AND NO ANSWER, HUH? BY NOW YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT BY CHANGING THE BATTERIES IN THE FIRE PANEL IT WOULD CREATE A TROUBLE , BUT THERE IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT BECAUSE THE TROUBLE IS JUST A BATTERY TROUBLE. IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE DOING IT LIKE THAT BECAUSE OF THE BATTERY TROUBLE, GO TO THE TANK AND REMOVE THE SOLENOID OR ATTENUATOR, MAKE SURE YOU STICK A BOLT OR A SCREWDRIVER THROUGH THE HOLE OF THE SOLENOID OR ATTENUATOR. CHANGE OR REPLACE YOUR BATTERIES, AND DON'T FORGET TO "DATE" YOUR BATTERIES. BY NFPA 72 CODE, BATTERIES NEED TO BE REPLACE EVERY FOUR YEARS. GOOD LUCK!
Nice demonstration
Don't test?
Great job, thanks for posting!
Was looking for this. Thanks for posting! Do you have any vids on deluge systems?
