Dueling Pistol

I had all the parts lying around the shop, so I thought I would make a Flintlock Dueling Pistol. In this video, I primarily focus on the engraving & carving and the final finish of the pistol. I also took some time to build the box and powderhorn and all of the other accompaniments. I hope you enjoy the video, don't forget to subscribe, share tell your friends . . . it is how we keep these vide...

The Dragon Grill Tools
Переглядів 358Рік тому
Every once in a while I get the opportunity to make something different than the normal cadence of knives and guns. In this video I make a heavy duty grill set, with some Dragon flare built into the handle. These did not last very long in my Etsy shop! Hope you enjoy! - Daniel Casey

The Historic Arkansas Museum commissioned me to build a unique Arkansas Dagger. In this video, I mount an Arkansas Diamond in a silver clasp on the handle of this Damasus Steel blade. I engrave a couple of Arkansas accents into the Sterling Silver bolster as well. I think you will enjoy this one!

Rogan Pipe Tomahawk

I just recently started listening to the Joe Rogan podcast #joerogan and heard an episode where Joe ordered a Pipe Tomahawk off of the Internet, and was so disappointed in it, he tossed it in the trash. This inspired me to make Joe one of my own Traditional Pipe Tomahawks to send to him, to see if he likes it better. Here is a video of me making it. Enjoy!

Flintlock Long Rifle

How do you put a 3-month long project into a single video? Look at this masterpiece, hand-made by Daniel Casey of Casey Arms. In this video, Daniel walks through the tedious process of creating a fully functioning Flintlock Long Rifle. You could consider this as an heirloom piece, as it contains some unique items the customer wanted to be included in the finished Rifle. I really enjoyed making ...

This 8" Chefs Knife was custom work I just completed. The blade is 1084 spring steel, and the beautiful Curly Maple handle really comes through on this one. I hope you enjoy this one, and please subscribe to our channel to see upcoming new projects! Thanks, Daniel Casey Casey Arms
Simply a piece of art!
I wish your show would come back!
Any pistol can be used for a duel. That doesn't mean it was made as a dueling pistol. As others have said they come in pairs and a very different in shape and form to this gun. Which I'd describe as a traveling pistol. Very nice work though...
Excellent craftsmanship! Well, that nose cap, I don't know. 🥺
Absolutely beautiful job! My British Sea Service project is so plain compared to this beauty. I'll get there with my next project. Thank you very much for taking the time to share with us all.
Beautiful work!
What an artist! What craftmanship!
Did Joe respond back? Did he like it?
Great job
It would be nice if you had some narrative in your videos and didn’t try and make them so short that it’s all in fast forward you are very talented but I won’t be watching anymore of your videos sorry
I am so unbelievably good at woodworking and metal work that I bought my rifle used! A .54 cal. Connecticut Arms Hawken to be exact. It was like that in the army too. They sent me to radio school and at the end of eight weeks, I was so good at morse code and radio operations in general that they made me a cook and sent me to the infantry in Viet Nam! Good job.
LOL!
You cut the dovetails into the barrel by hand! And did everything else by hand. Very nice to watch. You have a great skill set.
Very nice WORK
Amazing, you make a very very fine Job.
Are you living ?
I really really wish you would make longer videos it’s like going to see a movie you’ve been waiting to see and finding out your not even going to have time to eat your popcorn because the movie is only 10 minutes long so now you have to find something else to do
Very nice it looks like a great place to just relax and enjoy doing your work that’s how I’m setting up my leather shop people don’t realize your shop should be a place that reflects you and when you enjoy being there surrounded by things you enjoy your more creative also I really miss your TV show but at least we have your UA-cam
That rifle is beautiful. 👍
Beautiful work! I didn't see any hawks hovering on Etsy; any chance you'll be posting some soon?
I feel like I was born 160 yrs too late. More quality workmanship in This rifle than all my expensive (Very) modern rifles. Want to Trade a couple for that one??
What a Craftsman
Amazing !😮
you are not just a gun maker, you are an artist... wow...👍👍👍
I love your work but not the videos no narrative and too short I wish they were more in depth and less about trying to make them look like everything is so high quality and that so much care is taken we can already see that in your finished product you need to lengthen the videos and show case your amazing craftsmanship and do some narrating your a country boy not some English nobleman
Beautiful work! God bless, Rob
Such an entertaining video man thank you
nice
nice
Great work!
Looks like "curly violin back" maple wood?
What’s the price tag on one
Is he forging the barrels or did they skip that? If he is just using a blank of some sort, all yall dick riders need to mash on the brakes, no offense
Always a pleasure to watch a true artist at work, thanks for the video.
What a work of art! How many man-hours did it take to build this rifle?
Awesome build. Thanks for the video.
I'm hooked, THATS WHAT THEY MEANT WHEN THEY SAID HANDMADE. Not a kit. Super impressive.
Awesome job!
Very nice construction with all hand tools. Beautiful Rifle!!
Huuuuyyyyyyyyyyyy huuuufffffffffffff que bien 👌👍 o maravilloso escopeta de van carga
A Lovely piece of Art! Kind Thanks, Many Blessings and Good Shootin! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
Many thanks for this fascinating video. It is great to see traditional craftsmanship, in particular someone using a hacksaw and a file rather than an angle grinder and a belt sander! Regards, Gordon, England.....
You scared the crap out of your dog!
I have 2 of dinglehoofers books on the Hawken rifle. Great reading.
Beautiful Lady
Input a gif of Jerimiah Johnson nodding his head in approval <Here> I love your work, Sir.
It's a very good looking fullstock hawken.
Awsome video, beautiful work Sir!
Fine looking rifle!
Very cool!! Nice job!
Thoroughly enjoyed this display of talent and craftsmanship. The fact that you forged the iron furniture for the rifle is commendable. The good bluegrass for background made it even more enjoyable. Thanks for sharing this example of your gun making!
Ditto.
