I wouldn't harvest the stalk, only the blooms. That stalk is FULL of tiny seeds after it turns brow, carefully cut the stalk keeping it uoright so not to loose many seeds, that use a sheet placed on the ground or floor, gently shake or peck the stalk untill all the seeds fall to the ground, collect and spread on the ground come early spring preferably during rainy weather.

I didnt plan on eating only mushrooms for 3 months nor do i recommend anyone doing that, but it surly has got to be the 1 thing i think every human must try at least once in theyre lifes and I sware if everyone did do that, wed have peace on earth finally.

Tok, Ak. Arctic conditions. Seen -80F in the winter. Still grows plentiful amongst the horsetail in the sandy loamy marsh near creeks in the summer. A late bloomer for sure, usually spotted while hunting seasons during the late summer months. Now im curious to gather a few good ones, they get giant here, 15in "wing" span haha.

I found the stinker, the smellier. And the better the plant, the better it works. LOL maybe not always but like kratom. It tastes horrible, smells like tea. Valerian wrote smells horrible and kind of taste. Horrible smells like smelly feet but it works great
