Top 3 Campsites on Australia’s East Coast to Camp with Wild Kangaroos | 4K Travel Vlog
In this video, we highlight 3 unforgettable campsites perfect for nature lovers, wildlife photographers, and adventurous campers looking to get up close to Australia’s iconic animals - Kangaroos and Wallabies. Each location offers a unique chance to experience kangaroos in their natural habitat while soaking in the beauty of Australia’s East Coast.
If you're planning a longer adventure in Australia, check out our Australia Road Trip video series where we drive a campervan from Melbourne to Cairns over 4 weeks: ua-cam.com/play/PLvOlBTTn9irP1i9si5FajuTI0UPjILZIE.html&si=lH35us67oynTfYXC

*Campsite 3: Noosa North Shore Beach Campground*
Located about 2 hours north of Brisbane, at this campsite, you are camping right by the beach, so you can wake up, take a walk along the sand, and spot a few kangaroos chilling nearby. It’s very peaceful, with stunning ocean views and hiking trails around. Cost is 54 AUD per night for powered site. Recommended length of stay: 2 nights because you have to take a 5-min ferry to get here which cost 12 AUD per way.
*Campsite 2: Durras Lake North Holiday Park*
This is a well kept secret, and it is 100% guaranteed that you will see kangaroos when staying at this campground. Located next to Durras National Park you have access to several hiking trails and a long beach. It is also one of few campsites where you are allowed to have an open fire bbq at your camp spot. Cost 50 AUD per night for powered site. Recommended length of stay: 1-2 nights.
*Campsite 1: Cape Hillsborough Nature Tourist Park*
Cape Hillsborough sits on the east coast of Australia in Queensland, it is about 7 hours north from Agnes Water, and is roughly 125km south of Airlie Beach. This spot is pure magic! Every morning, you’ll see kangaroos and wallabies on the beach at sunrise, giving a unique experience. The campsite is off the grid but you have everything here including a small shop, swimming pool, and free games such as pool table, tennis table, mini golf, and not to mention the hiking trails. Cost is 47 AUD per night for powered site. Recommended length of stay: minimum 2 nights.

    thanks for sharing it was really helpful. just a quick question I am planning to go there Saturday morning and plane lands at 11am. also my return will be 4pm on Sunday. is it enough or shall I need to make it like from Friday. I mean I can arrive there on Friday and Saturday morning I can start to walk early morning and I can have a full day. what you think?

      Hi! It is possible to do Angkor Wat in the timeframe that you have, it all depends on what you want to see and how much time you spend in each temple. The ticket office is open from 5am to 5.30pm. If you buy a ticket after 4:45pm it is also valid for the next day, which could be an option if want to see the sunset at Angkor Wat on Saturday and then go to other temples in the morning on the next day before your flight. Note that some temples open at 5am and others at 7:30am. Hope you have a great time in Siem Reap and Angkor Wat.

    Thanks for the video! Really helpful and has encouraged us to try this route. Does the boat from Nong Khiaw run everyday? I've heard it is dependent on number people travelling

    • @CoupleNomads
      @CoupleNomads 5 місяців тому

      There’s no regular boat but they will go if there are enough people, we do remember someone mentioned minimum 4 people but they will take 2 people for the right price. Just need to sign up the day before at the pier. We do not recommend if you are running out of time in your visa to speculate with this boat, keep yourself couple of days extras.

    • @CoupleNomads
      @CoupleNomads 7 місяців тому

      We are certain that there is more to Manila and nearby cities than we got to see, our friends said the same but we didn’t have time to explore that this time. Unfortunately we picked our one night stay in a less touristic area and didn’t have a great experience, would definitely go to the capital and around that island again some day if we get the chance 😊

      Java is incredible, you should definitely go there regardless of weather. We were there in September last year and it was shoulder season which meant less people and potential for rain. Sometimes the weather apps are not 100% accurate, it might say that it is going to rain but then it doesn’t :). Hope you enjoy your trip there! 😊
