Szia Petra, It was beautiful seeing Budapest lit up for the holidays. Wishing you both Happy Holidays! Stay Fluffy
Sziasztok! Thank you for the feedback and for the nice comment! I'm really happy that you liked the video! 😊 Happy holidays!
Boldog karácsonyi ünnepeket! Happy New Year from Kanada! We could have watched this for an hour : ) Beautiful video! Thank you!
Boldog karácsonyt! 😊 I'm really happy that you liked my video!
Video that gives good Christmas mood😍 Thank you for beautiful views of Budapest😉👍
It makes me really happy that you enjoyed it! 😊
Beautiful! 😍
I'm really happy that you liked it! 😊
Love Budapest from the USA, I was married to a hungarian girl for 15yrs shes moved on but I miss the people and the country...Merry Christmas.
I wish you the best from Budapest, Hungary! Merry Christmas!
Hi, When do these markets end? I am planning to visit Budapest in January. I was hoping if the Christmas markets still be there.
The christmas markets close on the 1st of January, so unfortunately they won't be there by the time you arrive. I hope that you can still visit it once, maybe next November or December! :)
Petra, thanks for sharing the Bejgli recipe. I love both the walnut and makos ones. Even though I (Eric) am Jewish, we also used to have a Christmas tree and used to put Szaloncukor on the tree as an ornament. But of course I would quietly sneak into the living room and take one off the tree (the ones that would not be visible) to people. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Stay Fluffy!
Hi! It's lovely to read that you still have a Christmas tree! Thank you for sharing this funny story! We used to do the same as a kid and what's more, we put the paper back to the tree, so it looked like it's still full. :D When you grab one and you feel nothing inside the paper.. that's a bit disappointing. Now it's just a very funny memory and I'm happy that you're collecting good memories, as well! Happy holidays to you, as well! :)
Petra, I did too with the wrapping paper. But we have not done it in many years. Boldog Karácsonyt! Stay Fluffy
Thanks for the information I am interested in Hungary Pls how can you help move to Hungary Thank you
Hi! Please, contact an agency that deals with these kind of questions, I don't have the proper knowledge to help. Thank you for your understanding!
MAKOWIEC, mniaaaaam
😊
thank you! i will try this recipe, but gluten free :) it looks very tasty!
hmmmm, i think it's not gonna be TASTE, though
@@basiabasia3387 thats not true, you can make the same thing, its just harder to make a good dough
You can absolutely do this recipe gluten-free (I found even gluten-free recipes in English!) and I'm sure that you have more experience, so you know how to make a good dough in this way! Let me know, how it turned out! 😊
I think the tradition of Jesus giving gifts is very beautiful. Ultimately, it is He who is our life giver who supplies us with what we need. So it's nice to give him credit for that. Thanks Petra and Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I really appreciate it! 😊 Have a wondeful Christmas time!
Hello Petra you are amazing!!1 Budapest is a very beautiful city!!!
Thank you so much! I agree with you, Budapest is very beautiful!

That bejgli looked delicious. My mouth was watering when you ate it! 😊
Thank you so much for your kind comment! It turned out surprisingly good, so I really recommend it to you, as well! 😊
I also feel incredibly accomplished when my bejgli is done on Christmas Day! Merry Christmas to both of you!🎄
I'm really happy that I could also experience this feeling! 😊 I wish you a Merry Christmas!

What do you consider the out laying districts? What districts would you be talking about?
Districts like the 4th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 23rd and 22nd. They are further from the city center and you have to travel for more than 30 minutes to get there. I hope this helped. :)
Hi Petra! Thank you for your new video! I've been to the Christmas market in Obuda and it is very sweet and cozy. We also went to vizit Zagreb this weekend and it was a very cool and easy trip. And Christmas markets there are also superb! Maybe you could visit sometime and make a video for us (the same as you did about Brno)! ))
Thank you for the comment and for the recommendation! I'm really happy that you liked the Christmas market here and had great experiences! I've never been to Croatia before, so maybe it's time to put it on my list! :)
Hi Petra, firstly I would like to say I’ve really enjoyed your videos, I came across them today as 2025 I will be relocating to Budapest for 12 months of work. Watching your videos I came across this one and as an insomniac myself I can relate to your struggles. I’ve been like this for the past 8 years, it’s such a struggle to function on so little sleep but I continue to do so. I’ve tried everything (apart from prescribed medication) as I don’t want to be reliant on medication. I found it so heart warming that your partner participated with you and I would like to wish you well with your sleep problems and hope you can overcome them. I am hoping that my relocation will be a new start and will help with my sleep. Be strong, keep smiling and keep making these amazing videos.
Welcome here! Thank you so much for sharing your story, I hope that your stay in Budapest will be pleasant and will help with your problems. If I can help you with some informations, let me know! Listening to something before sleep did help me, but not every day, sometimes I listened to the full story for 30 minutes and I had to realize that I'm still awake.. which made me fall asleep even slower. What also helped a little is that I don't spend much time in my bed (used to go to bed right after showering, to read or crochet etc. there). By the time I wanted to sleep I was just simply unable to do so. So it's though, I still try to find ways to improve and I try to be patient to myself, I hope that it will be better. I wish you all the best!
@ Hello Petra, thank you for your reply, last night I saw every hour and was in work at 6:30am just to keep myself busy. I will do your technique of spending as little time in bed before I go to sleep as like you I do the same, after showering I will watch a movie or read a book. I’m hoping that my trip in March will be a new chapter and help me . Thank you so much for your offer of information for when I arrive, that’s so kind of you and I will take you up on your offer 😊 if there is anything I can help you both with feel free to ask.
I really hope that everything will be better! Just don't be too harsh on yourself, because I know myself that I always expect quick changes, but our minds need more time. And also: thank you for your kind offer! :) Have a wonderful day! 😊
Great video Petra! I'm visiting Budapest next Friday from the UK, my grandfather was Hungarian and I love your videos, it helps me learn about the beautiful country! I'll be there for a few days for the Christmas markets I'll check out that smaller market! :)
That's wondeful! 😊 I hope that you will like it and also that you will have more luck with the smaller markets than me. :D I heard that the one in Óbuda (III. district) is also very pretty and maybe a bit bigger, so I plan to visit that one as well. Have a nice stay in Budapest! :)
@petrasperspective thank you Petra :)
thats perfect timing! i'm going there next weekend 🥰 thank you so much!
That's so amazing, I'm really happy! I hope that I didn't spoil too much. 😅 It's going to be even prettier live, I promise. 😊 I hope you will like it! Let me know how was it!
Are you planning to go to Midnight Mass on Christmas? It would be wonderful to see a video of that from St. Stephen's Basilica or from St. Mathias Church. Or even Mass on Christmas Day.
Thank you for the question! Unfortunately no, because I spend Christmas every year with my parents who live in a small village far from Budapest. This village has no midnight mass, as far as I know (at least there wasn't any last year), because it's a too small community. But you're right, this would be a wonderful experience and if I were in Budapest that day, I would definitely participate on the midnight mass. Also one thing that I would find it inappropriate to film during a great mass, so I would rather not do that. :) Or maybe I'm just too shy for that. But these masses are always live on Facebook: link: facebook.com/szentistvan.bazilika/?ref=bookmarks or here: bonumtv.hu/elo-adas/ I visited the Matthias Church for a concert once, I included it in one of my videos: in this one: ua-cam.com/video/e8DgtMWMGPA/v-deo.html So, if you're interested, you can check it out! :) Maybe for Easter I will try to film at least a bit in one of those churches, but I couldn't promise anything. Thank you for understanding!
Thank you for the links!@@petrasperspective
Its really amazing petra.....what about the part time/ full time job opportunity in Budapest?
Thank you for your feedback! :) Sorry, but this question is not very specific and I shared many informations under my other related videos (for example under this cost of living video: ua-cam.com/video/QUCsu7PyERs/v-deo.html), so please, check those out! If you have other questions, let me know! Thank you for your understanding! :)
Very nice Petra, Budapest is surely a beautiful town, all year around but Christmas is special ❤
Thank you for your comment, yes, Budapest is beautiful through the whole year, but during Christmas is a whole other level! 😊
Do you recommend a specific glue? I'm afraid it'll show...
I used a simple wood glue from a local stationery store, it's nothing special, it doesn't even have a name / brand, but I also used a tissue to wipe off the excess glue. When it dried, nothing was visible, so I think that a very simple wood glue will do. 😊 Good luck with it!
@@petrasperspective Thank you, I have this and another DIY I want to put together but it comes with no glue. So this suggestion is very helpful!
You're welcome! For this one not much glue is needed, only really small dots, so this one that I showed at the beginning of the video is more than enough. My boyfriend bought two of these, just in case, but not even one quarter was gone by the end of it. :D Have fun with them!
Its the most wonderful time of the year🎉do you also have the usual christmas tradition, reunion of relatives, friends Christmas dinner etc...Merry Christmas🌲🥂🍾
Thank you for the question! Yes, we do have big family reunions, we have dinner together with way too much food, give each other gifts, but... maybe I will talk about these things in my next video. 😊 Merry Christmas to you!
@@petrasperspective I would also love to know more about traditions and celebrating at home! What do you eat? What do you do? What do you watch on the tv? Are there any traditional gifts? So many question ) Looking forward to your new videos )
Thank you for the suggestions! I write down these questions and I will include it on my next video! :)
Gyönyörű!!!
Igen, Budapest nagyon szép ebben az időszakban (is)! 😊 Köszönöm a hozzászólást!
Beautiful video Petra :)
Thank you very much, I'm really happy that you liked it! 😊
It's so beautiful to see all the Christmas festivities in Budapest. I especially loved the Christmas tram. Such a lovely idea! Thank you Petra 😊
The Christmas tram is truly a wonderful thing that makes me feel like a child again, I love it! Thank you for your comment and feedback! 😊

I'm really happy that you liked it, thank you for the feedback! :)
next time try Monte Cristi empanadas! the best thing in Brno 😁
Next time I should make a community post before going somewhere for you to give recommendations. :D Thank you so much for it, I will keep that in mind! 😊
My Czech friend said that Brno is also known for its culinary scene, but they like to gatekeep it from turist so you wont find them on tripadvisor. Same with prague. So you need to find some czech people to help you out to enjoy beeing in their country!
Everything is actually well captured in the city gourmet guide that you can find in the tourist center. gotobrno.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Gourmet-Brno-2021_pruvodce-EN_web.pdf
Oh, good to know! I don't use Tripadvisor, I prefer Google Maps, but we saw that many places only have menus in Czech, so if we had gone there, we wouldn't have understood anything. That's a shame, but kind of understandable from their point of view. Thank you for the information! :)
❤❤❤
It's such a charming city. Thank you, Petra for sharing with us.
I'm glad you liked it! It's truly a charming city! :)
KFC when I am sure there are more authentic restaurants that are budget-friendly? Shame on you. 😅
Yes, I know, sorry about that! :D But to be honest, the Hot shots bucket from KFC is one of my comfort foods, I could eat it every day. 😅 I appreciate the fact that I can eat familiar foods abroad, sadly in Brno we didn't bump into any local food stands (just at the christmas market, but they were overpriced for us). But I'll take this criticism, at least in this way we have reasons to go back to Czechia. :D
@@petrasperspectiveI was just joking. I didn't mean any harm. 😊
The cathedral and the other churches are beautiful. It's so sad that Czechia has so many beautiful churches, and yet now most of the Czechs claim to be atheists.
They were really beautiful, I totally agree! Luckily many people still admire these buildings, just like I do, but you're right, we were a bit surprised how small amount of people we encountered in these churches, even in the Cathedral. We expected large crowds, but it was quite the opposite.
Happy Anniversary. Brno is a much bigger city than I realised, and very nice architecture too. Thanks for taking us with you Petra! 😊
Thank you so much for your nice comment! Yes, the architecture was stunning, one of my favourite so far. Every street was worth seeing. :) Brno is in fact big, but still managable on foot. :)

Hi how are you
I'm doing good, thank you for asking! :) How about you?
Thanks Petra for your informative succinct videos. Could you please tell the cheapest way from Budapest airport to Jwish quarter, and is it part of the city center? Thank you.
I'm really happy that you find my video useful! The Jewish quarter is right in the city center, very close to the Deák Ferenc tér, all you have to do is hop on the bus 100E at the airport and this will take you right to the Deák Ferenc tér, from where you walk 2-3 minutes and you're right in the Jewish quarter! The ticket price is 2.200 HUF. Other transfers are more expensive than this.
@@petrasperspective Thank you so much. I really appreciate the time you spent finding that information for me. Köszönöm.
Nice work on the hat.
Thank you very much, I'm happy that you liked it!
@@petrasperspectiveWhen I retire soon, my wife and I plan to visit Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland.
