Excellent message! I’ve seen some of our graduate students study during the day and work on their business ideas during the evening. Now they have a respectable 9 - 5 and a good business. They do keep a 9 - 5 for now until their business is more robust insha’aaAllah.

Mind you, we are blessed to have schools that fund business ideas. As well, I personally do not prefer a 9 - 5 long term at all but I can absolutely do a part time long term like 7:30 am to 11:30 am is no problems for me.

@@penguinman38 The last prophet would go hungry and tie stones to his stomach to stop the pain of hunger , he had the same camel his entire life the camel was called qaswa, you can see pictures of his belongings in his house he slept on a piece of cloths with not bed.He lived in a minimalist and poor way . he would not throw cloths away even if they had holes in them and had patches on his cloths and al-Tirmidhi (2352) from Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him), according to whom the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “O Allaah, cause me to live poor and cause me to die poor, and gather me among the poor on the Day of Resurrection.”

@@RsZ789 You should study the manners of correcting people as you have poor iklaq . the saying I quoted I read on a website and it appears to be from a weak chain on narration . Al Faqru Fakhrī wa bihi Aftakhiru 'Poverty is my pride, and I pride myself on it.' HāfiZ ibn Hajar said: 'baseless; a fabrication.' he said in al Tamyīyz, quite similarly to al MaqāSid: 'amongst the insubstantial reports concerning Faqr is Tabrānī's report from shadād ibn aws, which he elevated: 'poverty is greater an ornament for a believer than beautiful side hairs on a horse's cheek.' ibn taymiyyah said: 'a lie.' it's chain is weak; and we know it is from the words of 'Abd al RaHmān bin Ziyād bin An'am, as ibn 'adī narrated in his Kāmil al Daylamī, like MuHammad ibn khafīf al shīyrāzī in Sharaf alFuqarā, narrates from Mu'ādh ibn Jabal, who elevated it: 'the gift of the believer in this world is poverty.' there is no problem with its chain of transmission. al Daylamī also narrates it from ibn 'Umar with a very weak chain.' I gave many examples above of how the last prophet lived in poverty why dont refute those aswell ? are you denying our prophet lived in poverty and went hungry ? The last prophet would go hungry and tie stones to his stomach to stop the pain of hunger , he had the same camel his entire life the camel was called qaswa, you can see pictures of his belongings in his house he slept on a piece of cloths with not bed.He lived in a minimalist and poor way . he would not throw cloths away even if they had holes in them and had patches on his cloths and al-Tirmidhi (2352) from Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him), according to whom the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “O Allaah, cause me to live poor and cause me to die poor, and gather me among the poor on the Day of Resurrection.”

people who look down on people who do 9-5's have usually made their money in dirty ways ie unethical or haram .like Damon dash or Andrew Tate . everyone has to start somewhere so start with a 9 to5 to get your buy money and then use your spare time to start your own. business . dont sell your soul buy doing haram and unethical means .Buy any Halal means necessary .I know millionaire slaves

Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest. Alot of men don't talk about thier feelings coz of the rep of men have to be strong and show no fear. So in turn they suffer in silence. If anyone watching this is going through tough times 1st thing first establish a connection with your lord. Get active, get out their go for a run or walk. Appreciate nature. Eat good food. Sleep at a normal time and start your day early. Talk to someone about what you are going through, whether its your siblings, parent, local iman, doctor, therapist. Get it off your chest.

I’ve noticed I tend to be overly loyal to people and it can get you feeling really lost and empty after because investing so much in someone else rather than yourself is harmful. However I wouldn’t say it’s always better to be by yourself, having connections is important in life and meeting one person can open many doors (by the will of Allah swt). Like for example one can find marriage through a friend etc.

The part where you said you like being alone and being comfortable in your own company , I haven’t related to something this much. Subahanallah People who can’t relate don’t know , that we don’t wanna hang around people that do not bring benefit like uplifting us etc , so we find comfort in being alone and truly connecting with ourselves can be beautiful and in doing that we truly nurture ourselves and the kind of person we continue to grow into. I also read something that said that when you find yourself alone it’s because Allah(SWT) just wants it to be you and him. So yeah seclusion with Allah(SWT) can be something we should all strive towards to the best of our ability. Ameen بارك الله فيك
