Thank you for the wonderful Christmas gift of your testimony! I've also enjoyed the Book of Mormon so much this year. I hope you will go back and make podcasts for the beginning of the Book of Mormon that you didn't make this past year. I've already begun to read it again. Maybe you can do those along with the Doctrine and Covenants this next year.

Jim…really enjoyed this one. We are a little behind. I have a question about the temple part. So, is the initiatory the ”first anointing?”

The last three books of the Book of Mormon were especially written for our time. As I've read and studied them it dawned on me that one of the most important messages in these last three books is that even though we are surrounded by evil, we can still live righteously. Ether, Mormon, and Moroni were all examples of living as we should while Satan prevails and people apostatize left and right. It gives us hope.

This was a great podcast. I learned so much that enhanced my understanding of these chapters at the beginning of Ether. Well done!

On a serious note, I was leaving a grocery store one night as a large group of people walked in. They brought an unclean spirit in with them and the feeling was so strong that I almost ran out of the store. Later, as I pondered this, the Holy Ghost brought to my mind that I needed to remember what this felt like because I would need to identify this feeling at a later date and maybe need to act upon it. It was such a strange feeling that the very powerful evil spirit was just moving along with them.

Thanks Jim…really enjoyed this one. It’s so interesting the parallels between this time in the Book of Mormon and today as we prepare for the second coming. We have to be so careful…there are so many out there that want to make us believe that we are not seeing signs. ❤

Lisa - thanks for your comment. I made a comment in my SS class today about the mighty change, and our Sunday school teacher shut me right down. The way the lesson was organized in Come Follow Me was not following the scriptures at all, in my opinion.

Hey Jim… thanks for the commentary. I wanted to just add that I think that what we’re hearing from some of the other leaders and podcasts is just what you mentioned. That it is by little changes that we can become prepared for that mighty change. Just as we can be changed from grace to grace… line upon line. So, I don’t think what they are teaching is false doctrine, they are just not coming to the final event of having that mighty change. Just as you said that not everyone will have an angel appear to them… that would be rare but that the experience can come in many ways and we must prepare ourselves spiritually each day for that event. 😊

When I was young, I always remember hearing people say, "Get off your Rameumptom!" This goes to the pride of the Zoramites and how it led them astray. Maybe in the coming chapters it will go more into the pride of the people and how it takes them away from Christ. Good lesson

We know what the ordinance of baptism by water is. But you talk about an ordinance that happens when you are baptized by fire and the Holy Ghost. What is that ordinance? I thought ordinances were performed by man through the power of the priesthood.

Every time I read the Book of Mormon, I see so many parallels to today. It's almost as if the Lord is trying to open our eyes to what's to come! Wow!
