Scicon AeroComfort 3.0 - 16,000km to THAILAND
Gents, I've finally landed! After a genuinely torturous 2 full days of travel I have arrived in Pattaya Thailand. I have abandoned my Pinarello, took my Madone SLR and chose my 50mm set of custom wheels as my "all around" setup for here. Wish I could have my other wheelset's with me but they will have to come another time... The Bike Bag worked as claimed and it made it with what I would say basically unscathed! There however is a stress mark on the carbon saddle seemingly from excess weight resting on it or possibly from a tip over or fall. cant feel with with finger nail and it isnt flexing so im not stressed over it, after all its a 50gram saddle... Besides trying to get household supplies, water, food and all the other basics in my new place I desperate need a tire pump/compressor and work stand. Finally getting a tripod and some camera stuff to improve video quality!

Watts up my fellow cyclists! If you're riding a Di2 setup you GOTTA try the shimano phone app! (forgot to show the data collecting after ride report on the phone & the computer) Regardless of what phone your running, if you ditch the garmin or wahoo your saving total weight anyways since you've got the phone in your jersey... Imagine how nice it would be to see all your data on a huge HD screen...

Don't believe the hype and marketing BS to try and sell you fancy snake oil.... Also don't believe those "chain checker" tools.. but thats another video for another time... Doesn't make sense to mix front and rear deraileurs on each side of the bars... if you have one hand off the bars doing something and you all of a sudden need to shift your going to be stuck...

Did you remove the Di2 Battery or leave it in the frame? I'm traveling soon with my madone and not sure if I need to remove the battery.
maybe thats why they opened my bike? its basically non removable since it requires the crank and BB taken out, its in the downtube not the seat post like most frames
What’s the wheelset?
Just went out of my way to find one of the last madone gen 7 slr 7’s and put some 6560’s and ceramic speed bb, rides like an absolute dream and is such a beast at climbing
yup its killer. so stiff when doing 500+watts climbing an ultra steep hill in the lowest gear its amazing
Hi, its a large size, what is your height? because i want to buy one, but i dont know to take a M or a L

Name of wheels please?

Lovely man
Got it for $4500
Nice video. This wasn't a problem in the past as long as bottom bracket and spacers installed properly. I encountered this recently with my newly built mtb. Bought some 1x chinese brand cranks, shimano like spindle with sram direct mount chainring, installed on 73mm bb shell with shimano bb52. After installation, drive side crank arm was outboard by 5mm than non drive side. I switch the included 2.5mm spacer from drive side to the non drive side bb and the crank arms are at equal distance relative to the center of seat tube. The next problem I faced was the chain ring touches the chainstays, and chainline was almost at 45mm, my solution, bought a 3mm offset chainring and chainline is now at 47mm. It was both perfect, biomechanically and chainline.
Who is the builder of those wheels ?
A true time machine timeless design
Have been using these and they seem good so far. Had used their 24g model in the past but those were terrible, they wouldn’t hold air at all. Leaks around the valves on all of em.
What's the saddle height on this one?
What kind of bottle cages are those?
ive been trying to find them again for over a year, forget where I found them, got 2 sets for both my madones back then.. crazy light, stiff, reliable.
Dude you’re a total weirdo for hating on Ukrainians at the Olympics . Let’s step into the octagon and let’s see what happens .
Those look awesome. Especially the peanut butter / jelly / marshmallow burritos. I’m also a fan of Cliff Bloks!
Nice video! I see you already have 150+ subs…congrats! 🎉 I think a lavalier mic would be helpful for your videos especially as you walk around your repair area with bikes. DJI makes a nice lav mic. They sync with a receiver that mounts to your camera. One other idea: I told you that I use the Sony A74 for the Giro Aries Spherical helmet video. That is a pro camera and it’s very nice. It will be amazing for a studio in your repair area. If you want a more portable setup that still shoots excellent 4k video and is compatible with a lav mic: check out the DJI OSMO Pocket 3. There are many UA-cam videos about it. You can put it in a pocket or under seat carry bag - it’s small: then you can shoot wherever you go. The lav mic syncs to the camera with Bluetooth and it’s really simple and good. Hope this helps. Best of luck! -Jeff
If you could choose one would you get the new dogma f? Or the gen 7 madone slr
my madone is the best bike ive ever ridden and likely will ever exist imo. the pinarello I built to be a fun all arounder, the madone to be a serious race bike.
Great video and thinking of buy this now that’s it’s on sale. By any chance do you have a video of you weighting the bike??

super fast especially when run with TPU! haha
Thanks for the video. How tall are you, I am considering the a Pinarello , I am 6'0 and I dont know if I should go with 54.6 or 56. Thanks in advance
1000% get the 56cm! this ones for sale, rode it some this past week, shes a dream.
Fav tires I ran all the 23' season and 24' so far. Super fast, super comfortable, super grippy, crazy light. HOWEVER, they wear extremely fast. the 1000miles on a rear is really pushing it to the limits, youd never want to show up to an event with one of these that has more than maybe 600mi (1000km) on it. If you’ve got the $ to change your tires each month, they are the fastest accelerating and rolling tires ive come across. Especially for 31.25mm width as measured! *I get absolutely no $ or kickbacks etc from you buying any of this stuff. Im sharing the stuff I use that nobody knows about to build up some good karma in my life. I rec this stuff to family & friends. What about in wet/winter conditions? I live in the UK so wax seems to work best in the wet. Cheers 👍
@@charliehargreaves7344 I don’t ride in the wet or plan on it anyways, if I get caught in the rain I respray it after washing bike that day.
@@HeyWattsUpCycling Me neither but unfortunately, the UK weather has other ideas. If you do get caught in the rain does the WD40 hold up till you get home, nothing worse than a squeaky chain...

56 would fit up 178cm with a longer stem?
178cm would probably be ideal w a 90-100 stem IMO, especially considering majority of riders I see have their saddles 5-10mm further rearward than optimal
@@HeyWattsUpCycling I am 183 so I always thinking between size 57 or even 58.
@@EllasPOSEiDON im 185 and this setup is perfect.
@@HeyWattsUpCycling Your stem length and bar width?
@@EllasPOSEiDON this one says 100x400 but really is about 108 length comparing apples to apples and not only the stem length but also consider the “reach” measurement on the bar curve for combined reach. Example some bars have 85mm reach and some 105mm so in that case one with a 100mm stem could be longer than one with a 110mm stem

What’s the wheel brand and also the seat brand?? Thnx in advance. Are they both still for sale??
pinarello is for sale, decided to keep the madone and take it with me
I'm watching from the UK. Fascinating! All the usual cycling channels tell you that WD40 isn't a chain lube at all and shouldnt be used as such. However in a world where the likes of Silca are flogging tiny £30.00 bottles of mineral lube, or chain waxing systems costing way more, i really want to believe you.
clean your cassette and chain ring then give it a try for a week and see how everything shifts and.stays clean.
It definitely works. There are a few other similar sprays around that will do the same job, GT85 & Ferrosol are both very good too. They clean as well as lubricate, so are basically "one & done". If you're riding in the wet a lot I'd recommend applying a thin coat of mineral oil on top of the spray for extra protection. Any midweight oil will do, motor oil is fine, tho if you're in doubt try a cheap reputable bike oil like weldtite TF2, it's about £5 a bottle. Don't spend any more money than that though, no matter what salesmen or youtube influencers tell you!
Auto shift is crazy…

Where did you order those wheels?
Does it this bike worth for the price because I've been earing a lot of cons in this bike! Would you really recommended?
same frame as the 15grand bike just slightly heavier. but if built up like I did its a half pound lighter than the 15k version. rides great too.
@@HeyWattsUpCyclingin stock it rides very well too. The Pirelli P7 are horrible tire, very harsh and hard plus the wheels are super heavy. Understanding those 2 aspects without any upgrades, still feels like you're riding an ebike, at least the first time I took it out. Waiting for my new wheels to arrive, including new tires will shed about 7 to 800 grams.
dang, I always wonder how that sand was getting everywhere. didn't occur to me that it was from the front tire flinging onto the chain. I always figured it was the wind blowing it

nice bike .. hope i got 1 for my work watching from philippines
ill be in BGC area later this fall/winter! for a trip
You’ve never found yourself needing manual control of your front mech?
I have it set to drop to the little ring during the 21t (4th gear) to 24t (3rd gear) downshift. Id never have it in the little ring and be in the 19t out back so this setup is ideal. The lowest gear im ever in is the 50/19 as I come to stops on minor hills in this gear on this pinarello. the madone ill occasionally be in the 52/21. that bike running the DA shifters I had the top satellite buttons set to control FD but never used it and set them to control RD, which I also never use.
@@HeyWattsUpCycling you have the RD go up/down 2 cogs when the FD switches chain rings?
