We got a new tractor! Follow along as we work on our first big project with it. Of course, there is a lesson (for us) in the experience, so you can enjoy that!
The adventures of building a milk stand and getting goats to use it
Переглядів 1173 місяці тому
We built a milking stand for the goats! We will be able to milk the girls and trim everyone's hooves, once they get used to the stand... The first half of the video is us building the stand, the second half is us trying to train the goats to use the stand. The video can get a little "off roady" at times, so just hang on, it'll be interesting, to say the least.
BABY GOATS!
Переглядів 2324 місяці тому
Our goats had babies!!! They are the cutest little floofs. I apologize in advance for my baby-talk voice, but I just can't help myself. Gracie and Carmen both had two babies, so our herd went from 3 to 7 in two days.
Let's make butter

I had some heavy whipping cream that needed to be used, and this was something I have always wanted to try. Just heavy cream, and patience. a little salt at the end and we had some wonderful homemade butter!
Putting up the Greenhouse

You guys!! We got a greenhouse! This is a wonderful gift from my grandmother. She is a flower gardener herself, so she understands the need for a greenhouse, especially where we actually get weather :) Watch the (very) sped up task of us putting it together.

Baby Quail! WATCH a quail chick HATCH!
Переглядів 2099 місяців тому
We hatched out some Coturnix quail. We had purchased live chicks that arrived in June. We allowed these to become mature, mate, and we incubated the eggs. There were 41 eggs in our incubator, and 20 have hatched and survived (nature, ya know). Watch a chick hatch! See the brooder setup and the adult hutches.
Harvesting Potatoes

I successfully grew and harvested potatoes! This was a challenge crop for me, as I have failed many times in the past. At the end, I also explain what can make a potato toxic, so you don't want to miss that. Stay tuned for more farm adventures! This video was made with Clipchamp
The chicks and a tomato horn worm
Переглядів 13511 місяців тому
I found a tomato horn worm in the garden and let the chicks take care of it for me. It's their first experience with that, so it's kind of adorable. Made with VN Music: Dear Autumn Musician: Ikson License: ikson.com/track/84/dearautumn #Shorts #Chickens #TomatoHornWorm
Pumpkin Patch

We tag team in this video on how we put together the pumpkin patch! James does the heavy work and I get to do the fun stuff- plant seeds! There is an audio issue towards the end, so I apologize for that.

Feeder Trough Planter - plus remembering how to use the tractor...
There ya go
Using loppers first is a good idea. Digging up the roots is also a good idea. I've always used a mattock for digging up blackberry roots, because a MAN can develop the power to cut through roots pretty effectively. I was impressed by the effectiveness of the lady using a manure fork. I've just been clearing blackberries from a public right of way the past few days. There are probably more roots that need to go, but when they stick their little heads out they are going to get CUT OFF! And then I'll be using a mower to give grass a chance to develope.
Amend soil for better harvest.
Yummy!!! Whoo hoo!!!
Hi Devan!!!! Just love your videos. You are making such a wonderful home there. We miss you❤️❤️❤️
Miss you too!!
Oh he so cute!!!
Dad says your welcome!
Great idea and implementation
Thank you!
Team southpaw!!!
Pet the goats!
You go girl with that chain saw!
I've noticed a lot of people moving to eastern Tennessee,,I'm from Missouri,,are the land prices alot cheaper in Tennessee compared to Missouri? Your property is nice!good video
Thank you! I haven't looked into the land prices in Missouri, but Tennessee is fairly reasonable. The area we're in is very hilly and has a lot of boulders in it though. It's more difficult to find very flat land.
Looks fun!
Cute channel, thought about getting a light for my succulents that are inside. Give us an update in a month please.
Will do! Thank you very much!
Happy habaneros
Still excited to see where they go!
Never heard of Cucamelon, sounds interesting.
