1. Can you pl clarify from where you got these percentages? you have not quoted any official source. Is there any officially supported documents? 2. The blasting/Thermal runaway happens only for Lithium Ion batteries (mobile batteries are Li-ion). But inverter batteries are Lithium Ferro Phosphate which has very little chance of any thermal runaway. 3. If these batteries are very dangerous, how come Tesla and all other electric cars are on the road for the past many years? The technology is improving. The precaution you say to keep batteries outside house means we should never ride in an electric car? 4. How many mobile phones have blasted so far? IF the Lithium batteries are so dangerous we should never use mobile phones which are carried in our pockets. But now each person has at least one mobile. Can a lead acid battery serve this purpose? 5. It is true that Lithium batteries have no resale value now. But once it reaches their end of life, there will be recycling facilities for lithium also which will be very high resale value. 6. Many branded companies are marketing Lithium batteries. Eg. Hycon, Luminous, UTL, Okaya, Nexus, Waree etc. Each type of battery has its own merits and demerits. People can go for Lead Acid batteries for their availability, less cost, warranty support etc. But Lithium batteries also have their place and technology is now mature enough. Cost will come down fast as India has started manufacturing Lithium battery Cells. No need to import from China.
