Excuse the bad lighting. I would do it in broad daylight, but my job sucks away most of my time and I have to make do with what time I have. Thats usually at night in the parking. So I installed a few things inside the Thar such as Camera mount, mobile holder, Bluetooth audio player. A charger and some stickers are pending. The S&S camshaft is NOT high lift, the duration between opening and closing is different from stock (the reason for the shim washers because the valves stay open longer). It vastly improves rideability and torque, there is no gain in usable horsepower. My Interceptor has Weisco 83.5mm pistons and an S&S cam, all parts have over 15,000 miles. Again, lift is the same as the stock camshaft...
Wow. That is new information for me. Will check again. It is advertised as a high lift cam though. Definitely worth checking.

@@ridezilla402 check the actual numbers. I would not trust any claims by S&S. I own two Triumphs that are 865cc. They are 90mm bore and 68mm stroke. The 90mm pistons with the Royal Enfield 67.8mm stroke is 862.65cc or roughly 863cc, yet S&S lies about the actual displacement of their big-bore kit. Again, S&S doesn't tell the truth. They also claim the big-bore kits as "bolt-in" which they are not.

@@ridezilla402 my late wife was from the area of Ohio where the "big-bore" components are made; WiseCo pistons, Cometic Gaskets (copper head gasket in the kit) and Advanced Sleeves (cylinder liners). S&S is a middleman with the only "exclusive" being an agreement with WiseCo not to list the pistons in their catalog (yet anyway) and not to sell directly to the public. Both Cometic and Advanced Sleeves will sell parts all day long; I've bought sleeves from Advanced, talked to them on the phone! There is an 89mm piston that makes 844cc with the stock R.E. 650's stroke...I am working on putting an "INT 850" kit together, have already built one 750INT and it has almost 17,000 miles on it (one of 2 S&S big-bore kits that I bought). The bike has the S&S cam in it also.

Great going bro ..! About dyno testing ,I would like to share two things .. the dyno runs we see on net are generally shown / done in minutes to impress ( and fool??? ) When doing dyno for best possible calibration and HONEST ,REPEATABLE DATA , follow at least the following things ... Take at least three test runs back to back steadily increasing RPM . every 250 rpm step .let it settle for 30 seconds at that rpm .. once the values are settled ..go for next rpm step .. Keep data .. then go for your intended redline if altered in tuning .. at full throttle for some time ...and keep n eye on power / torque/ oil temp // under sparkplug temp / fuel pressure SUPPLIED to injectors / fue temp l / exhaust temp and Intake air manifold depression ...and pressure in the exhaust system ..if power starts dropping .. it's a red flag .. it's either going too lean / too hot / partial seizure ,or simply fatigue failure if the valve springs .. Look at the lambda value at full power figure .. Then step down 250 rpm n do the same .. Do it till you drop at around 2000 rpm .. Then go to the torque curve .. pick 30% of the best of torque curve , nd go full throttle hold .. check for any drops / rises , if the peak shifts up or down .. . Look for flat spots , platau .. and get all the sensor values at that lowest point if the peak , n high points around THAT peak .. this will give you great insite later .. Do this cycle at least thrice . Last round figures will give you the values that matter to you .. First value will give you bragging values,, useless value otherwise ... ( Some proud powertrain experts test ( hold) that full load for hours .. n take notes of that drop .. N one dyno cycle can be 15/16 hours ....) Check oil quality before a d after at a quality lab Check oil consumption for that test duration ..

Really appreciate you comments on the swing arm/chain angle as per Ryan at Fortnine taking about the Tenere that is similar and helping to be ‘anti-squat’ (I think that’s how he described it.). Here in Thailand the Himalayan 450 hasn’t arrived yet but from the photos and videos it looked to me to be similar to the Tenere. Yours is the first video I’ve come across bringing this up. Hope to buy one in the next year or two!

Yes. Hold on. High lift and longer duration cam builds power sooner in the RPM range and holds it for longer. Intake Exhaust Open Close Duration Lobe Center Open Close Duration Lobe Center 1° BTDC 35° ABDC 216 107 32° BBDC 10° ATDC 222 101 They provided shims for spacers
