hi, could you help me with this ? I have a summary view in Dashboard like sales last 2 months month wise. So, I have data for last 2 months which changes over time at begnning of each new month like Jan-FEb, Feb-Mar and so on. I need 3 buttons, 2 for each month and 1 for summary. If I click on any month button, it shoull display all underlying data for that month in the Dash on top of Summary View. When I click on Summary button it should display summary view again. I am looking to complete this using Action, Parameter and Control Visibility option.

Great explanation! Just a comment. I think it's not correct to say that TOTAL is the minimum of the minimums (06:03). Actually it is, but it's not the way tableau works with TOTAL. Under the hood it is looking at the entire table (data underlying the current view) and is finding the minimum. If you used AVG as aggregation, it should have returned the AVG considering the underlying data to the view, NOT the average of the averages.

Hi Donabell! Thanks for all you work helping educate the data community. Can you please post a video explaining how to rank based on multiple columns? I am trying to do some visualization work on a dataset about sport team performances. The season ranking is not included in the data but I have the point tally, wins, draws and losses, goals scored and goals conceded. I want to rank teams based on point tally, but if point tally is equal, it should take number of goals scored as the secondary argument, and if those are equal as well, then the lower goals conceded. I cannot find a solution elsewhere. Thank you again! Keep up the excellent work

Thank you very much for explaining dynamic zone visibility so brilliantly. I used to use filters to expand compress sheets within a canvas but to compress sheets using that method I have to hide sheet title. After watching this video I used dynamic zone visibility and it worked even with sheet titles as you showed in this video. Thank you very much.

@sqlbelle When using Dynamic zone zooming, have you run into issues where the the charts are different sized, say like one of the graphs is big table? When I try to adjust height for those table to match the other charts to even it out, it fixes the height of the table and it no longer zooms to a full page.
