in the UK i would legalize piracy but increase the cost of internet then re-invest this money In Rotherham we get 1.6Mbps the same speed we got in 2003 when they installed broadband here, 95% of ppl in the DVD distribution, manufacture, copyrighting industry get paid peanuts, whereas telecommunications engineers get paid £30k+ a year. Piracy would distribute wealth more evenly. Also a faster internet connection would let me host my own webpage, saving me £250 a year, thus increasing our economy

If you don't pay for your films and the "rich corporations" lose out, who do you think is going to lose out- the guys at the top, or the poor employees at the bottom of the production companies who barely earn money? There's no way to justify piracy- if you disagree with them, boycott them and don't watch their films at all. To steal films under the guise of "sticking it to the man" is bullshit.
