Rope Stretch
Переглядів 1223 роки тому
“Station 24 Productions” presents the Rope Stretch The Rope stretch has become a go to play for us going vertical. It provides us with two distinct advantages. 1. Since we use the flat load, this is much easier and quicker than trying to drag hose up a set of return stairs at apartment complexes. 2. One section of hose can cover approximately 50’ vertical feet or the height of 4-5 floors. To co...
Stretching the double loop flat load
Переглядів 13 тис.3 роки тому
For anyone that’s ever asked or that we’ve shown, here is how we pull our flat load at 24-C. We have two goals pulling it this way: 1) It all gets flaked out so there are no kinks. 2) We get the nozzle and the coupling to the front door. - Our first line is always the crosslay with the nozzle facing the fire as it makes the prettiest stretch. (We aren’t using nova cool on the initial attack.) -...

Nice video
Just put 50ft stack with the nozzle attached on your shoulder. Second loop at 100ft mark, less of a mess and way more mobility. Let the driver take care of the rest.
Why not take what you need, I watch these guys today run with the entire load then dump it in a heap. Take a few flakes and then have the pump operator flake it out to you.
Are you talking about the start, or when they’re already in the structure (in this case)
Your ladder is wrong way😢
This is such a great method and video! Thank you
Is the ladder mounted backwards? ,fly should be on outside ?
It would be flipped after the halyard is tied
Or if 2 people were raising it fly section would stay outside and man on inside would tie it after raising it. Other FF would be holding ladder
@@KoticOneyou could just flip it then tie it
Awesome 😊
Retired 30 yr. IAFF firefighter, we used that load successfully for most of my career. I taught at an academy and we had to demonstrate various loads including the minuteman load. The right-hand pull flat load was always easier to deploy and reload. Good video.
Thank you
Bad ass! Stay safe out there!
