From an evolutionary standpoint, monogamy is beneficial to women (because pregnancy and child rearing "costs" them a lot, so they want to make that up with help of a man), polygamy is beneficial to men (because they can just cum and boom, genes have been spread and they can go next and spread even more). Everyone watching this video or writing comments here is IMO at worst lower middle class in the cities. Most people from such origins don't even realize how being poor changes one's perspective on life. And not poor as in a lower class in the city. Poor like living in some small rural town with just basic, shit jobs, no real social life, nothing. People in the cities like Louis CK often joke about religion, how it's stupid, about the bible belt, well, if they lived in some small town in Alabama, knowing full well they are forgotten and ignored by everyone in the country while on TV, they just see rich people in the cities, religion would suddenly start making a lot more sense. Because it would be the only thing saving them from blowing their brains out, to sort of give them SOME comfort, something nice and cultured in life. I am from an upper middle class family in a city. I always had these opinions about religion and poor people, stupid people. I always valued what I have, I knew I was lucky, but I still didn't understand why many poor people behave the way they do, it seemed stupid to me - that they flock the shops on black fridays, that they collect coupons, go to political rallies, etc. But I fell on harder times some odd years ago. Didn't have money, old clothes, treated like shit at work, car broke down and I had to use a cheap old one for a long time. Well, I quickly realized not only do people treat you really different without money, your own perspective changes - suddenly you're not so above all the stupid things you laughed at before, quite the opposite. You begin to understand them more and more and you realize that you aren't so smart and those others so dumb, you perhaps just got it better in life in general to begin with. It's like that Bob Dylan song - Like a Rolling Stone.
