I just got my first Good Chop box. I ordered Porterhouse steak, rib eye steak, salmon, bacon, and porkchops. Since my family raises poultry I don't order chicken. What I received was freezer burned chicken wings, freezer burned chicken breast, hamburger patties, bacon that is all fat with one thin pink "meat line" and a single pork chop. I canceled immediately and will post negative reviews everywhere possible

I just received my replacement cook box which is what the company calls the aluminum bottom part of the grill. The reason why the cook box melted is that they used a cheap alloy that melts at a lower temperature than standard aluminum. This is why they warranted the melting of this part. I saw on Reddit a few other people complaining about this problem and thank god it had a 5 year warranty. I wish I could say I will never operate the grill at a high temperature but I think it's necessary to operate at hight tempretures when you are trying to clean the build up of grease and fat. Before this Spirit II I had a cheap weber which never melted but I replaced after 10 years of use without any problems whatsoever ever except that the igniter didn't work and had to be lit with an external flame

Got my first order. Blood on the bottom of the box, edges of meat product thawed. Reached out to Heartstone, they Said it is ok. Cooking the ground beef now and it smells a bit odd, different from any ground beef I've ever cooked... Not sure i will eat it

Have you heard of Quick Fresh? I had a problem with my Just Meats order coming with fully thawed out nortic ice packs. When they called me and i had to call'em back it was for a another company called Quick Fresh. Anyway they comped my next order for Just Meats! I guess they're both under the same ownership. By the way Just Meat will be trying dry ice in some areas to keep the temps down.

Dude the pork loin is the best one hands down. Try it sometime. I usually order two of those cause I eat it up so fast. Unfortunately the company is currently under fire from government food standards organizations trying to change how they make the meat and forcing them under the regulations for jerky. Hope they dont change the formula too much because of this. I like these way better than jerky.

I’ve wanted to get one for nearly 4 years! I went to my uncles house yesterday, and saw he has one. We started talking about it and due to finances. I explained I haven’t gotten one, but I will as soon as possible. Shockingly or surprisingly he actually ordered one while we were sitting there and didn’t tell me. we got it today! How loud is the hum? I just got one of these but was told its defective. Doesnt cool down enough. Im testing it first before moving forward with my troubleshooting. My light is on but I hear no noise telling me the compressor is on. Is it supposed to be pretty audible?

By the way, when I saw you open each bag almost died. I was like oh my God he has to eat all of these in three days otherwise they last for six months and then if you put them in the fridge, they should last you about a week believe me I’m an avid buyer of Carnivore. I know a lot about how to care for them and you know how to refrigerate them and store them.

I am currently getting a meat box from another company. and after some digging into there website I found that there beef is grass fed and grain finished. So just when I thought I had found a good source for our meat box deal. I'm now looking elsewhere. I decided to take a look at good chop. I like the flexibility of selecting what goes into each box. and did some reading and watched reviews and felt I had found our new source for our monthly meat and seafood box. Then I dug deeper into the website and even though they state there beef is 100% grass fed.. To my disappointment, I found the exact same wording as I found on another companies webpage that there beef is sourced inside the USA, grass fed and then grain finished.. what a bummer.. So now I'm wondering.. are all these different meat box companies getting there beef from the same sources and we are just picking paying for a name? They also state no antibiotics. But from what I've been reading.. If cattle is grain fed or finished, that means they are taken from a free range environment ( grass fed ) and contained to close quarters, and because of this, cattle is more susceptible to illness , so they are given antibiotics. So what is the real truth here? I'm bummed.
