A short video walkaround of a 1961-62 Peugeot 404 sedan found in a Northern California junkyard. The yard had it mislabeled as a 403. Music: Gilbert Penaud - Et Maintenant (1961) I do not own the music.

I found a CD mailed out by General Motors in 2005 to promote their national test driving events. I do not own this content and have uploaded it for preservation purposes.

1965 Volvo 122 Amazon Wagon Junkyard Walkaround
Переглядів 1762 місяці тому
Another trip to the same yard where I previously found the Renault Dauphine. This time it's a 1965 Volvo that someone dearly loved. Just a quick walkaround of a car that gave everything it had. 1950s Fords Junkyard Tour (Slideshow)
Переглядів 8913 місяці тому
Another Northern California self-service junkyard visit from before I had the presence of mind to actually film the cars. This time it's a quartet of 1950s Fords presumably dragged out of the same property and placed in the same row at the same yard. We're looking at two 1956 Fairlane Town Sedans, a rare 1957 Fairlane 500 Skyliner retractable hardtop convertible and an even rarer 1958 Courier s...
1974 Mazda Rotary Engine Pickup (REPU) Junkyard Tour
Переглядів 1634 місяці тому
This one is both a rare bird and a bit of a Frankenstein. It has a 1974 Rotary Engine Pickup serial number but wears a regular B-Series bed and front fenders, and has apparently been converted to a 4WD truck with range selector and locking front hubs. The unique Mazda Wankel rotary engine and REPU front grille sadly are long gone, leaving only the VIN, an engine bay sticker, and the ghost of th...
1937 Graham Custom Supercharger 120 Junkyard Tour (Slideshow)
Переглядів 3374 місяці тому
Another Northern California self-service junkyard video, albeit a photo slideshow this time. These were taken before I first attempted recording video, but the subject was too unique to leave in my archives. It's a rare 1937 Graham Supercharger 120 Touring Sedan, one of about 3000 built. Like the name implies, the inline-six Graham was an early adopter of supercharger technology for improved pe...
1950 Ford Custom Fordor Sedan Junkyard Tour

I tried something new with this one. Another Northern California junkyard find, this time an unloved 6-cylinder 1950 bulletnose Ford with more patina than you can shake a mossy, spider-covered stick at. I have been a fan of the 1949-50 Fords ever since I was a kid. It hurts to see one scrapped in 2024, but this one likely reached the end of the road before I was born. Here's a little sendoff. A...
1962 Alfa Romeo 2600 Berlina Junkyard Walkaround
Переглядів 1,1 тис.6 місяців тому
An extremely rare and also very thrashed car with a fascinating patina that turned up in a self-service yard in Northern California. Pardon the wind noise and lack of commentary, I didn't really know enough about the Alfa 2600 to talk about it. But this appears to be one of the first 100 cars made out of a total production run of less than 2100 (depending on who you ask, Alfa made 2038, 2069 or...

Time capsule clip I found on an old hard drive. A short cruise in my first car. Recorded with an old Kodak P850 digital camera whose auto focus motor was failing.

Girls, dents, brake lights burned out, everyone drunk hours ago. This is my type of f’ing ride.
Yeah cool
Video bekeken, en wat nou? Schroot, verschrikkelijke auto, vergeten die handel!
Carol Shelby just kept whoring himself to new low levels. 139 horsepower, which makes it a match in a drag race with a second generation Prius, lol.
In Europe they are slowly becoming wanted cars among the classic car enthusiasts. But they aren't very fuel economy friendly. Back when they were new up to the mid 90's in my place the fuel was cheaper than soda. I've seen several being kept in normal everyday drive conditions, being converted to liquid gas. Cool car.
back in the 60s my grampa had one of these in italy
Everyone is hyped over the Hummers, but the Pontiac Aztek is the true coolest vehicle here
alors , effectivement c'est peut etre un modèle 1958-60 , en tout cas après 1957 . elles deviennent très rares , et pas beaucoup ont été importé aux US , donc une rareté a sauver ! tout comme les 4 cv , renault 16 et 18 US
Super😮👍🏻
Not beyond restoration, but why is there a biohazard ☣ sticker on the screen?
Que lindo sería poder restaurarlo y que vuelva a las calles !!!!! No hay nada más bello que volver a la vida un clásico
Nice car I love it 💘😍
My dad had two of these back to back in the late 60's and early 70's ( a white one, then a petrol blue one ). We used to slide down the trunk lid :) 2 adults and 5 kids taking holidays in Ireland in the rain. Then a 504 in maroon. Good times ! Thanks for posting, and greetings from Prague CZ
Ah wow, it's awesome to see all these great GM cars. A true time capsule. Now most of them around my area are old and rusted away. I'd probably pick the Hummer off road course first, but definitely would take one of those Cadillacs for a spin too. They're so futuristic!
Looks like a fun course.
Not gonna lie this made me tear up.
Shed some weight from that Buick, and it'll want to go around corners instead of wanting to keep straight. Consider getting tires with lower sidewalls. It'll help to make your steering more responsive and less sloshy.
Good parts car. Not too many folks restoring these stateside. These were very popular in the US at one time - even out sold VW. Very poor dealer support network and relaibility issues killed them. They rusted pretty badly in the North Eastern US and anywhere salt was in the air. Too bad - they had potentail to be fairly decent cars.
@@74Husky I took home one good hubcap and the front Renault badge to remember it by. The car was already gone when I last went back to that yard in July.
c'est dommage , car se sont des voitures facile a restaurer et on retrouve toutes les pièces en france en , occasion , neuf , ou refabrications !
looks unsafe to me
0:22 Let idiots talk until their tongues dry, Ignorant retards don't know that luxury cars from the height of the 70s weren't made for tracks
There were less than 1800 Grand Ville convertibles built in 1971. So that's a rare beast!
Seems to me like it was pretty regular for Pontiac to put out convertibles in low numbers- I have a 1983 Sunbird, 1 of 600-ish made.
Who needs a Miata when you got a land boat?
Dude can drive!
No se si da pena o alegria ver a ese ladrillo hacer eso.
The differential is nasty. Very rudimentary thing
Announcer be like “honey badger don’t care”
Reminds me of the green 73 Olds Delta 88 coupe I had in university - the Lizardmobile. It handled just like this car, though I was nowhere near as skilled a driver.
Has the Detroit mono locker single wheel positrac 😂😂
I wish that announcer would stfu during this so we could enjoy it without his unbearable babbling
Dude was out there spinning the wheel like he was pulling a tube. Love it
Don't ever sleep on a real Pontiac. Might get your feelings hurt.
What's that boat doing on land? 😂
Idiots no open container laws and Florida somewhere.
That guy sure can drive, and the way that this car can actually handle is remarkable indeed- 🇺🇸👍🏻
Automotive design peaked in the 70's.
Sling that led sled!! That's the way I did it, back in the day!! (73 Newport- 72 Delta 88)
400 Pontiac. beast mode
Full-size American cars are just as enjoyable, though for quite different reasons, as European sports cars. I had a 1964 Electra 225 which suffered brake servo failure on the approach to a traffic circle at around 65mph. Full lock one way, full lock the other, both feet planted on the brake pedal.....and a gentle slide onto the circle, happily into a gap in the traffic!!
Love it that car is SO bad it's going walking speed and STILL knocking comes down haha!
Got a TANK for auto cross...OK ???
Probably more exciting than some of the other cars there and 4 people got to enjoy the ride.
How can i buy a ford cobra 2? We don't have this car here in Brazil.
@@alvarezazevedo7765 A Maverick GT might be a better car, if you can find one for sale in your country. I always liked the Maverick. Unfortunately the car in this video seems to have been crushed.
Como comprar esse carro?
He drove the hell out of that
I like how all the NFS fans from India are on here informing us of how poorly handling big American cars are and how body roll means a car doesn't handle well. The level of programmed ignorance here is grand 🤣🤣You guys learned so much from Top Gear and the UA-cam that you betray that most of you have no experience at handling a car at all, and have never driven a large car in proper form. Perhaps you're all just terrible modern drivers. Perhaps you've heard of 'Geometry' which means that a wider car appears to lean more than it is. Really, though, basically nobody has driver a large car fast and nobody in the comments ever has, at 199 comments so far.👌👌😁😁
@@TheFogLakeshore I'm just amused that out of all the stuff I've ever put on UA-cam, the one that gets promoted is a 12 year old clip of a guy throwing a fullsize Pontiac around. The driver in this video was an acquaintance of mine for a time, but he later moved out of state and we lost touch. I rode with him on the track in his '97 Lincoln Town Car a couple times. He told me he refused to drive any car shorter than 18 feet, 2 inches. There's a clip on my channel of him driving his mother's stock '63 Mercury Monterey as well. Thanks for stopping by.
wow, that thing moves
Guy knows how to drive
I should do this in my Park Avenue.
Get off the track
Hahahahhaha. Man, that is a big frigging car to be moving around like that!
