I'm glad to have seen Bode's races through time. Because he was inspirerend for this wonderful sport. Now I 'm afraid that my grandchild will only know skiing from stories and television. The snow is lesser and les, because of the climate.

My wife and I, before we were married, took dry-land ski lessons at the Pacific Ocean Club in Long Beach, California in the fall of 1962 which was taught by Doug Pfeiffer and his partner Tommi Tyndall. who was later killed in a ski cat accident,. They operated together Snow Summit, CA at the time. We used strap-on wooden skis to learn the basis. Fun time good memories! Enjoyed your interview.

Why believing in yourself is more important than anything else. Loved watching him progress & dominate. He was a master at keeping his on the prize & staying true to himself even when that meant going against the grain.

Ha, I remember hearing about Bode while at Mt Hood that summer after his crazy performance. And, yes, we all knew that the game had changed. But it was going to change anyway. That was fun, though.

I filmed this at Vail in 2007 and was very fortunate to have captured this great man's story at that time.

One of my heroes growing up. Skiing became magic for me after watching Art and others like him break the barriers.

I remember seeing him ski at Playboy Club in Lake Geneva Wisconsin when he was the ski school director. We tried to imitate his trick skiing, but very unsuccessfully.
