Cheap £30 Inverter. Will it do the job or burst into flames 🔥 ?!!!
I’ve got a Victron sine wave inverter which I currently use to charge my laptop etc. however it isn’t powerful enough to run my small travel hairdryer or charge my portable projector. I purchased this cheap Chinese 6000w inverter from eBay to see if it will run a couple of my power hungry devices. Let’s see!!!! #vanbuild #inverter #homeappliance #camper

    Fitted one to my 900 triumph scrambler .started it up and petrol everywhere spraying out from under tank .took the booster back off still spraying petrol. Anyone had this problem or is it just a coincidence wear and tear on a 14 year old fuel pipe

    • @ToniReviews
      @ToniReviews 16 днів тому

      @@michaelcoates7068 not had this issue or heard of this. Sounds like potentially a problem with the pipe. Just check it’s not rubbing against anything or touching anything hot, or compromised in anyway. My wiring loom on the headstock was getting chopped, which was a common fault for the model and year. It’s had a recall. Maybe check the model and year of the bike to double check if it’s something that happened for that year of bike. I know they changed the wiring loom issue after the recall on my batch.

      @ToniReviews 23 дні тому

      @@daviddoyle5291 many thanks for the comments. I’ve also done a fair bit of travelling in my time. I’ve been to quite a few far flung corners of the earth and generally like to embed myself in the culture and get around as the locals do. There’s definitely worse ways to travel. Not having a designated cabin isn’t really all that bad, and if travelling alone and on a budget it’s definitely a solution for anyone looking to save. Again if travelling in a camper van, once you pull off the ferry you have the luxury to pull up and have a kip whenever you fancy. The video is designed to help people who may be on a budget and what to expect if they go for the seat only option.

      I would have loved to have slept in my van. I actually went down to the lower car deck where I was parked at one point to get something from the van but the doors were locked. I think it’s a safety measure stop people going to their vehicles. I think it’s because it reduces the risk of people getting injured if cars move in rough seas or risk of fires with people turning car engines on etc. I’d love to have stayed in my van but didn’t fancy getting locked down there should something happen 👍

    I just come off a tour. A little tour to Wales, Cornwall, Devon etc and back up to North Yorkshire. I reset my 550-Rider before going because it was misbehaving but it didn't solve the problems. My 550 turned on and off whenever it felt like it (only for 4-5 seconds but at a junction or roundabout you don't need it). Told me to be left before a roundabout then told me to take the last exit (turn right). Didn't adjust quickly after an instructed maneuver into the next (keeping direction arrow beyond the move, adjusting too late leaving me stranded in the wrong lane). A couple of times it took me off a motorway and back on it. Wasn't clear about what exit on complicated roundabout systems (no close-up window). Absolutely last second telling me to turn. The arrow disappeared below the screen view a few times. The image turned sideways randomly for a few minutes. Nightmare satnav that cost me a fortune to mount it without their ugly as sin mounts. I'm ditching it. Only used it for three holidays

If flying a drone make sure your not near any built up areas especially cities etc. tbh a drone could be used as an excuse to pull you so just be careful. Especially if you’re near the border. @@destinationdezz1588 they are ok to be flown but the police may use any excuse to pull you over. Also at the waterfall there is a clear sign of no drones. Being so close to the border (as the waterfall is both Chinese and Vietnamese) then you don’t want to end up in Chinese air space. I’ve seen drone footage there too, but there are clear signs no drones at that spot. You will seee when you go. It’s a shame I know as you want to capture memories. Drones are legal especially the smaller ones, but you just have to make sure it’s in open space and if there’s any signs then stick to that too. So no cost saving on usage. 2) it's quiet. When I'm on a bike I want people to hear me as there's a good chance they can't see me. If I was on a CBT I'd get it for its looks. You keep talking about it not being economical, but the reality is that an annual zone 1-6 travelcard (the distances most users would be doing) is £3,120. Or £299 a month. You can get the RM1 on hire purchase for about £100 a month - so immediately it's cheaper than the tube.

    • @ToniReviews
      @ToniReviews 3 місяці тому

      You make a Good point but the reason I say economical is because you couldn’t ride this outside zone 2. Getting out into the hustle of outer London this thing wouldn’t survive, hence the need for other ways to get around. I would love to see a test ride from central London out to uxbridge or alike travelling through the major arterial routes. As a long time motorcyclist living in a pretty hectic part of London navigating daily main arterial routes I speak from experience when I say this isn’t economical, mainly on the basis it isn’t practical if you have to navigate these types of routes. Hope that makes more sense

We used to 'rough it' on the overnight Plymouth-Roscoff run and oh boy it was tough going. The seating room was packed and everyone was snoring. Sometimes just by chance they'd all snore in unison like a choir! So we went searching for somewhere else where we could lie down but there was a hireded singer in the bar with a loud squeeky microphone that you could hear from everywhere and she kept singing for hours so that idea didn't work either. My wife eventually nodded off back in the seating room but I spent the night outside watching the boats go by. I got cold and wet but it wasn't too bad. On another trip there was a crowd of loud people roaming the decks who seemed oblivious to everyone else though after a few hours the captain came down and gave then a right ticking off. And there's more but I wont go on.. So nowadays we always get a room - lovely!

    The main reason you de cat is to get rid of the heat . The cat is under the engine .it will be boiling the oil in your engine .Heat kills oil.

      Interesting perspective. I think most people don’t de cat to get rid of heat. I think the other factors are what tend to persuade people to change out for an x pipe. Interesting point of view thanks for sharing

      Thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed the video. Merlin’s from my experience are fantastic jackets. The only thing I’m not too keen on is the length in the arms. How do you find yours?

    I've watched a few of your Triumph reviews. Your accent reminds me of my family and growing up in London England. I was born in Woolwich. I would say you definitely have a Cockney accent. I am now a US citizen living in Southern California for many years now. Carry on riding !!

      Hi. Well I’m glad I bring back some memories from London. Yes the accent is from a childhood and family all from London, specifically the east end. California sounds like a good trade! Totally jelous! Thank you for taking the time to watch the videos and to comment. I always love hearing where these videos reach. 😊

      A cabins a bit of a waste when your travelling alone. This was absolutely fine, and I’d definitely do it again if travelling solo. No different to a long haul flight except you get to ability to roam whenever you want. It’s perfectly fine.

    Wow. Toni. Amazing well edited videos. Good content. And good presence. I just can’t believe you are not getting the views. Maybe promote your best video on a paid service to get people to watch your series? Better than itchy boots! I’ve started also. Similar subs. Struggling also. But all I can say is you should be 1000s of views for this great content. If ever you reach Thailand give me a shout out 😂🙏

      Hi. Thanks so much for the words of support. I really put a lot into this series so I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I’ve been wondering what I could do to promote the series, but it seems my reviews do better than the adventures and I thinks it to do with the original meta tags I used to set up my channel. I’d be interested in knowing more on the paid service, the only stuff I’ve seen is so called experts on fiver, which hasn’t really worked previously. Re Thailand I’ve been a good few times and is on my list to revisit and do a motorcycle trip so maybe I’ll give you a shout when I return 👍 thanks for the words of encouragement and I’ll check your channel out too. Thanks for the support 👍
