Batts on Bikes
United Kingdom
Приєднався 29 сер 2019
I am doing this channel to share my thoughts on bikes, gear and life in general.
My father decided to get me a bike shortly before he died so i named it after him 'CeeBee.'
It is a Keeway Superlight SE 125.
I quickly ran out and got my CBT (beginners bike licence), so i could start riding it as soon as possible.
I love the experience of riding a bike , there is nothing that quite matches it.
I find it gives me time to reflect on the day and life in general, so i thought i would record it and post it and see if anyone would be interested in listening.
If you guys have any suggestions as to what you would like to see on the channel please feel free to let me know, keep it clean guys ;)
Iam based near Scarborough in the North East of England.
The first videos will be of the local area and i plan on taking road trips to further-a-field as my confidence grows
Thanks for taking time out your lives to read this, i know how precious it is... i appreciate it.
Edit: Just passed my Mod 2

Asbo gets lost in Hull Pt 3
Переглядів 584 роки тому
Get to Hull and really loose my sense of direction. Just shows how reliant we are on technology now-a-days. Aslo messing about with video editing software in this video, it is a steep learning curve. Merged three 15/20 min videos into one.

Asbo goes to hull Pt 1

The Big yellow thing in the sky made an appearance and Asbo was excitedly shouting at me, so i thought i would give him a run out to Hull. There is a Motorbike shop down there i have wanted to have a look around for a while so i thought...'why not?'
Two virgins go to Filey

Young Dave comes to pick up CeeBee and we go for a quick ride to Filey. I am afraid the camera's battery ran out for the second part of trip.
New ride, can you tell what it is yet?

Sorry about the lack of posts recently but i have had a few minor things to overcome. One of the things is i downloaded a new editor called Davinci Resolve. Really steep learning curve on that. Every time i tried to render a video it crashed, took me a long time and scary amount of forums and videos to find out what the problem was. Anyway got it fixed and i got loads of footage to rummage thro...

Batts on a Superlight 125cc Telling Yarns
I own a keeway crousier 125 cc
So sorry
We enjoyed the video. It put smiles on our dials and that's always a good thing in life. Much obliged. Cheers!
Loved the story, did a similar thing as a teenager on my old Suzuki GP100. Thought I’d broken down but hadn’t turned the fuel tap on 🤣 What camera/mount setup are you using please? Looking at getting back into riding after about 18 years and would like a decent camera setup
This is a Sena 10c it is a camera/intercom combined. I bought this as i needed both so killed 2 birds with one stone.. I have upgraded it since this one to the 4k one. The only problem with the Sena versus the Gopro option is image stabilization. the Bonus with Sena is the is no hassle trying to mount it and connect a mic to it. Get on a bike you will love it. Just remember to keep the rubber bits facing down ;)
Ehat are the chances, i look for a video for the bike I want and your riding through my village! (Cayton)
Might be coming up for sale soon :)
are ya satsfied with him ? any repairs ??
👍👍
Hey i live up Middlesbrough and I'm getting a keeway superlight 125 in January. I'd love to go on a ride with you some day
This was by far the best/honest story of first bike experience /minor disaster ive heard so far, not only was it informative , it were entertaining ,engaging and full of amusement,,rivetting stuff ! thanks for that review, Batts on Bikes
Wow Andrew, very kind words, thank you kind sir.
Like you had the keeway superlight 125 now have the Kawasaki Vulcan s 650
i really thought about this bike, loved the fact it has a lot of power when you want it, I am trying to get my wifey to come on the bike so need a little extra power when i want it, we wills see
So didn’t catch what bike are you getting mate ?
bike is comming soon my friend, hope you love it as much as i hope i will
We have spoken before but about our keeways and when your dad passed hope you are well mate look forward to seeing what you get have a look at my channel and subscribe mate 😉👍🏻🏍💨💨💨
Hey, did you sell the keeway. Thinking of getting one as my second leisure bike. Full license holder and own a 500cc Honda for commute.
Depends on what you looking for from a leisure bike. It is a great little bike for short trips locally, you can really appreciate what is going on around you. If your looking for camping trips or similar further a-field i would consider something a little bigger. The Keeway struggles to keep up with the traffic on the open road which can frustrate other motorist and yourself. I didn't sell the bike a friend has it on a sort of permanent loan :)
Hi. How is the superlight going, any issues? Thinking of buying one as a commuter. Nice scenery 👍. Thanks. Paul.
Hi Paul. i have passed on the Superlight to a good friend of mine. I see him most every day as he takes it to work. He loves the bike, he commutes about 10 miles a day on it. No problems so far, just be sure to do some corrosion treatment as soon as possible after you get it. The chrome doesn't like the salt in winter commuting. The SE comes with a good wind screen, crash bars and a couple useful saddle bags (not waterproof) The Superlight is a great bike for short commutes but if there is any part of the road that is a long stretch of nationals you may find it will struggle to keep up with the rest of the traffic. Great fuel economy, low insurance, low running costs and the screen gives a fair amount of weather protection,(not quite as good as a full fairing scooter.) The best part about the bike is the feeling it gives you while riding it but you will have to test drive it to see for yourself. ( a lot better than a scooter :) For the money Paul i don think you can beat it ;)
@@battsonbikes1919 Hi. Many thanks for your opinion on it. I always cover my bikes with acf 50, great stuff. I only have a 4 mile each way ride to work and an 18mile trip at the weekend to see my lady, from what you have said it should be fine for that. Really love the look of the laid back cruiser style too. Many thanks again for your quick reply and information.👍✌️.
@@tobias13100 A pleasure Paul. Please let me know how it goes would love to hear you thoughts on the bike... Cheers.
Will do 👍✌️
Came for the bike - stayed for the Bio. Stay safe mate. (Cheers from Tel-Aviv Israel)
Thankyou my friend..
Jerusalem is Israels Capital!! -GB
Cool bike 👍👍🙂
Thanks
do you think it would be alright for a bit bigger guys? cheers.
Depends on what you mean by big. There is no adjustment in the suspension. I am about 15 stone ish ( 95kg) and 5'10" (1.8mtr). My legs are not cramped at all but i have a short inside leg measurement ( 31") My friend rides it also and he has a 34" inside leg and also loves it. I have seen a guy on one that was very large, must have been 20 stone, the suspension did look a little low but not bottomed out. I dont think it would really matter too much as long as your not massive in any category as it does not really go fast enough to make it dangerous in any way.
@@battsonbikes1919 ah that's brilliant mate I'm not massive as such about 20 stone big belly is all cheers buddy.
All I can say sorry for your loss to start with as your pops was good part of your life I have no religious views but I’m sure you will keep your memory’s of your pops alive. Like you I don’t like the wet or riding init at night ride safe mate 🏍🏍🏍👍🏻
Hey so when did you pass the bike test?
Hey Jamie, thanks for the comment. I passed my bike test just after Christmas, it was raining and freezing cold. I think the examiner just wanted to get back into to his warm office, only lasted about 20 mins max.
How are you finding it a few months on? Does it come with tools and does the rear seat lift up?
It is still a great ride. the rear seat doesn't lift up, the tools came in the panniers. The beauty of this bike is everything is really laid back. you can take things at a civilised pace and enjoy. You notice the scenery and what is going on around you. Great fuel economy too.
Do you have to keep the indicators pressed in while turning...that was one of my concerns
@@deetee-uk No not at all. If your looking to buy one of these you wont be disappointed. For short trips up to a couple of hours the seat is fairly comfy and for commuting around town it is great fun.
Thanks. I'm looking to go camping with it...is there any place to strap a tent?
@@deetee-uk The saddle bags wont hold much but you can use the back seat and a cargo net bungie to hold the tent
We can go camping together bro
you got a tent >? ( you didnt press the like button lol ) trying to get 6 likes n this vid ;)
@@battsonbikes1919 6 man and 2 man
