Chasing a Holy Spirit high... instead of relationship with God
The oldest prayer of the church is Maranatha - "come Lord Jesus!" which is significantly different from what some churches claim, which is that we are supposed to pray for the Holy Spirit at every service, even though the Spirit dwells within us at all times. What might be wrong with changing the focus of the message?

Former tarot reader exposes the "Twin Flame" scam : it's designed to be addictive and toxic
Louisa, I hope you're well. I was looking for something and discovered your video. I would like to know what you think about a Christian marrying a Mormon. A girl from high school, who's a Mormon, reached out to me last summer. I pushed her away after a month as I felt conviction because of differences in faith. She's been persistent for almost two years now, and the entire time, I've continued to deal with this back and forth struggle in my mind. She believes that God allowed us to cross paths again for a reason.
@@aaronijose The differences of faith could be an issue in marriage, but shouldn’t prevent you getting to know her better through dating. What might be a red flag is her persistence for years trying to wear you down if you’ve already said no. If a guy harassed me to date him for over a year and used “God’s will” to manipulate me, it wouldn’t matter if we shared the same faith because I would question how respectful and stable that person is.
Thank you for doing this. I came across "UA-cam Mike" a year ago. Justfinished Unseen Realm and realized "UA-cam Mike" is NOT the real Michael Heiser. Very few people accurately represent his work accurately. Finished Doreens video and couldnt believe that they erected a 100' tall "Straw Man Mike" to beat down. Thank you for calling this out.

Doreen is a flip-flopping heretic with a huge following of baby Christians
Doreen is definitely scared of any of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It's too bad that rather than admit there are spiritual issues she does not understand, she actually denounces them as false and scary.
I firmly believe schools are indoctrination centres for children especially with the push of transgenderism and LGBTQ2+ ideologies being pushed in schools. I believe women should have to work either. But thats just me. I'm a single mother and looking back i would have rather stayed home with my kids than go work three jobs.
I watched Doreen's video on Heiser. She said that he was nothing but gracious to her and said kind things about his behavior and welcoming of her, but she raised serious questions about his beliefs and doctrine. She was kinder in her video than others have been in their article's that accused him of having heretical gnostic beliefs. The video I saw was not slander, but about serious doctrinal issues that most so-called 'christians' ignore today. Just one article that I have saved about him comes from Truth Watchers concerning his 'Gnostic Heresy'. Maybe it is because I have 5 decades of bible study that his errors are glaringly obvious to me.

Dr. Michael Heiser’s work is absolutely phenomenal and the fact that these people came out to slander him. The panel was a joke. And by the way, Dr. Heiser’s views are pretty much accepted by the eastern church. We have no problem with it. It’s mostly in the western fundamentalist mentally, where people are so full of themselves to think that God revolves around humans. So disrespectful ❤she is offensive and disrespectful.
It's so hard being a student of early church writings, reading how they translated these verses, seeing as Heiser proclaims this is nothing new, and seeing the Baptist community throw it all out as Orthodox belief, or works based or whatever dire warning they want to throw on it as it's a threat to their modernity and their idol worship towards Calvin and Augustine. This situation with Doreen Virtue personifies the issue of how our modern pride gets in the way of understanding some scripture.

I remember back in 2017-2019, I was severely depressed and addicted to tarot card readings on UA-cam to try and cope with the fact that my long time crush of 5 years stood me up and would post his girlfriend online and texts me at 10pm here and there. 😢 It took a long time to finally get myself back into my body and heal from all the lost time I spent worrying about my romantic life. It was so embarrassing once I realized how hard I was trying to get him back through manifestations and twin flame readings. I’m glad it’s becoming more popular now so people can see how much of a scam it is. Things that play with your hearts desires isn’t something to take lightly. These readers should be ashamed. Sadly though, most aren’t flipping cards for spiritual reasons or to help people. They need the monetary benefit I guess.
@@shrug8690 they probably start with good intentions, but it seems like they end up doing whatever is popular with their audience and tell them what they want to hear.
It's good to have posts and videos confronting deceptive ideas by cult groups who are exploiting naive people using the twin flame label. As with any 'concept' out there, there are many harmful distortions of healthy behaviour that can come about as a result of buying into the twin flame idea. So I welcome your analysis and logical deductions in this video. Having said that, with nothing personally to gain, and no axe to grind, I can state I am a twin. I am also a psychotherapist. The twin flame path is primarily about spiritual growth, not about being in a relationship with another, in fact most legitimate twins are not together romantically at this time, and who knows whether they ever will be, that remains to be seen in time. This path is about Self-realisation - to the One through the two. Meeting your twin will activate or boost your spiritual (and Kundalini) awakening and bring about huge transformations to you and your life, initially quite traumatic (as with other spiritual paths) but eventually a source of deep gratitude. You can never search for a twin flame, if that particular spiritual activation is part of your life's path then you will meet them at some point. It requires a lot of soul maturity to be on this path, not to attach to the other person or become obsessed with that individual but to take the spiritual activation and use this as an opportunity for God consciousness, which is what it is. Which is why very few people actually meet their twin flame - they are not ready for it. The bottom line is that only a true twin flame will understand the difference between fluffy ideas/limerance and a TF connection. No silly article, or tarot reader, knows what this is. And Louisa Watt doesn't understand what this connection is really about either, but in terms of this video that doesn't matter. She is warning people against buying into the twin flame idea and by and large that is very good advice. Because holding onto an idea you don't understand, are not really ready for, and is not designed for you, is not healthy. For any of us, twins or otherwise, we should not wait for anyone, or put up with shitty behaviour, from a twin flame or otherwise. And that's not what the true twin flame path is about.
This has been going on in churches since the 70's. Back in the late 80's my then wife and I were both Bible believing Christians and were living christian lives in an evangelical church. My wife attended a series of "Healing of the Emotions" workshops with her sister (also a sound christian) in a local church. Without going too far into the details, after opening this doorway in her life, she completely went off the rails. The change in her was literally unbelievable. It started with bouts of significant depression, and ended in her having a full blown sexual affair with one of the church deacons (who's own wife was pregnant with their first child at the time). This whole process took less than a year. We ended up getting divorced a couple of years later. I never wanted divorce but my hand was forced, and needless to say I was shattered by this whole experience, as was the church we attended. At the time I was totally ignorant of the dangers, but years later I learned that this "Healing of the Emotions" supposed-technique at this church's workshops is THE EXACT SAME technique witches and other occultists use to invite familiar spirits into their lives. I was shocked when I learned this, but strangely it explained so much of the utter craziness that we experienced at the time. This was confirmed a few years later when I read in (I think) John Drane's book "What is the New Age Still Saying to the Church". Those "workshops" were ported DIRECTLY into the church from the occult, and just given a christian "label". I have done a LOT of reading and research on this subject since, and it's shocking to me how readily we (in the church) adopt methods, techniques, and practices, that have NO corresponding equivalent in the Bible. Everything from "prayer walking" to the use of meditative labyrinths. We should be a LOT more discerning, and our pastors should be a LOT more protective of their flocks!
That’s wild, and no doubt was a devastating experience that probably changed everything about your life. Thanks for sharing, I’m very interested to try and find more information about the “emotional healing” workshops. Somehow, I doubt that they are based on any sound theology or psychology, which is something I saw constantly in the New Age. They practice a lot pseudo psychology and end up doing a lot of damage.
@@LouisaWatt - It did change my life completely. I spent the rest of my life alone, because I was so traumatised by that experience. I was early 30s when that happened. I'm now in my mid 60's. That was my first marriage. It also blew apart the church we were members of, for obvious reasons, and I know personally of at least 1 family that left the church because of the way it was handled by the elder-ship. There are a LOT more details that would make you gape in disbelief. I haven't shared them here because I don't want to go into them here in an open forum.
@ that’s understandable
THANK YOU! I have been saying this for years! We "do church" all wrong. If we look back to Christ and his disciples, they came together for Jesus to teach them, and to share fellowship, and to build each other up in the faith. Then THEY WENT OUT to take the gospel to the world. They din't sit in the upper room waiting for the unsaved to find them. Neither did the great commission say, "Remain in Jerusalem, and when the world finds you be prepared to tell them the good news of the gospel." If we actually did church the same way Paul did, it would be to build up the believers. Then we would go into the "marketplace" and to the places where there are people who are unsaved. You see... that's what the world wants us to do. They want us to stay in our churches and close the doors and SHUT UP and stay away from them, and we are obliging. Church in many senses has become an ENTERTAINMENT centre for the lost, whereas, it really should be an EDUCATION centre for Christians. The lost should NOT be in churches until they are saved. The lost have no place being in the body of Christ. "What does light have to do with darkness?" "Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never!" No wonder the church is dying.
That’s an excellent point that the world demands we shut up and keep to our buildings so as not to be offensive in public, and we certainly have obliged, so much so that true faith is rare. The people that do go out and street preach are mocked by other Christians, and heaven forbid they talk about judgment because then they’re definitely nuts.
@@LouisaWatt - Can you imagine the level of persecution we would face if churches up and down the land preached in the open air, and in shopping malls, and other gathering places? We can't even preach open air any more because the laws of the land have been weaponized against us. So we just shut up and go into our buildings and keep quiet. I remember back in the 60's and 70's. Every Sunday and Monday the men of the church would be out round the local streets preaching open air. I was there with them in the 70's as a teenager. Now we have nothing, and those few street preachers who DO dare go out now get arrested under public order offences.

Micheal Heiser said over and over this is not his original thought, I didnt need his work to know that the unseen realm exist, he was the only person I found who discussed and presented it so eloquently, Miss Virtue speaks with a forked tongue
I was a student under Michael Heiser through the Awakening School of Theology years ago. Not only did he say that his thoughts had all come from peer reviewed articles and none of it was new, he provided us all with that bibliography and access to all those peer reviewed articles. I have a bachelors degree in nursing and was part way through grad school prior to developing health issues that stopped my studies, so I am extremely familiar with how to access and utilize primary sources and peer reviewed articles and studies. All the articles that Michael Heiser provided us with were from legitimate and reputable sources. Heiser’s work as well as the other articles I read through did not inspire myself to become a follower of Heiser, it simply helped me read the bible and look at some things from a different angle. I used to watch Doreen Virtue but within the last couple years something about her just left a bad taste in my mouth. I pray that she can learn to listen to the Holy Spirit and not just take guidance from men. Also, I am always suspicious of religious leaders who dissuade people from reading things that may differ from their own beliefs. Personally I am willing to read anything and everything and I look at it against the scriptures and pray about it. But if reading literature that may be in contrast to your theology scares you because you are afraid it may lead you astray, perhaps your faith is not as strong as you think it is. Because I have read many things that are in stark contrast to my faith and it didn’t lead me astray. I have also read things that have helped shed light on things I may have been wrong about. God gives us discernment if we ask for it. We need to trust in that.
Hi Louisa, I hope youre doing well. Thank you for this message. I have unfortunately been stuck on this ´´tf journey´´ for ten years, from ´´psychic´´ tarot readers, five of them, telling me I would meet my twin through work, date and get married and spend our entire lives together and that we would have an amazing connection. I lost ten years of my life for nothing. I met my twin through my internship, 4 times in life, then so called ´´separation´´ happened, so we never even dated. I was heartbroken, crying, in deep grief, going to that stupid place as a volunteer hoping to bump into him. I saw him 4 times in life, last time about 2 yrs ago. ten years of longing, wishful thinking, and dreams of a relationship that never was meant to be. It broke me apart. But it also taught me that I need to trust God and not the stupid tarot and the devil, and new age. It just ruined me, kept me stuck in obsession and pain, and longing. I also had a horrific ´´false twin flame´´experience with a narcisssist about 7 years ago. Im so over this false twin/ true twin crap of the devil, no more, its horrific. Servus Christi did a video on Doreen Virtue before he got kicked off UA-cam way back.Ill never understand why people listen to any biblical teaching from someone who wasn't saved until 2017
She was simply asking questions.
I’ve noticed a lot of people who are in recovery from addiction seem to fall down the new age rabbit hole believing it to be some form of self care when really it’s just another form of escapism from reality & distraction from life’s problems. It’s all ego based even though it claims to be the exact opposite. People want to believe they are special and vibrating on a higher frequency than others. That belief only leads to further isolation and inability to relate to people around them. They find their so called soul tribe yet it’s all based on monetary gain & promoting each other’s Instagram. Biggest load of BS on this planet.
I can't believe the pastors talked to you without your husband present. That was completely inappropriate. Seeker churches have very little courage or character. They are after the attendance and baptism numbers. That's the true church to them. I also think their understanding of people is very flawed. The divorce rate in seeker churches is very high. I think it's from personality tests, Myers Briggs, and, hold tight.. empathy. I completely believe in sympathy but from all the data I've seen, empathy is a myth. Empathy does not help relationships or disagreements. It actually seems to makes disagreements worse.
@@lkae4 I thought it was strange that they mostly ignored my husband’s existence, although I belonged to the church before he became a Christian and joined me. The divorce rate in many different churches is the same as the national average apparently, which would suggest something is wrong. It would be almost impossible to pinpoint one causative factor, but in my own experience with narcissistic personalities, they know how to exploit and weaponise empathy for their own selfish gain. It doesn’t mean that empathy is wrong anymore than divorce means that marriage is the problem. I think Jesus’ advice on how to handle manipulative people is spot on: be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. In other words, be aware of the games people are playing (so you don’t get played), but don’t stoop to their level. It’s a strong character who can persevere in being compassionate after having their compassion used against them, but hopefully they are wiser for it.
@@LouisaWatt Yes, I've heard the divorce rate overall for self-identified Christians is the national average. I've heard the divorce rate for nominal Christians is higher than average. And the divorce rate for Christian couples who go to church together, pray together and study the Bible together is exceedingly low.
A former seeker pastor I know said that about 20% to 40% of church plant members will leave the church and community after the church reaches 200 members, many becoming disillusioned and church hurt. Multiply that by all the seeker church plants since the 80s and we have a very serious problem.

It's much worse. I think most pastors are afraid to disciple because they are insecure and afraid around young men.
You've made some insightful points on the New Age mindset and the search for esoteric truths. However, my critique of these mindsets and philosophies differs in two ways: Energy Awareness: I believe there's a need to assess the energies surrounding these individuals and groups, something modern psychology often overlooks. Psychology tends to focus on symptoms rather than the underlying energetic influences that might contribute to negative group dynamics. Balancing Left and Right Brain Perspectives: Relying too heavily on a left-brain approach (focused on logic and critique) can skew one’s perception of these groups. Many people place their trust in leaders or practices that appear truthful but may lack real value. A balanced approach, one that incorporates psychological insight with discernment, can reveal flaws-especially in groups that discourage any form of critique. Until modern psychology considers these energetic factors and differentiates between positive and negative energies, it risks being incomplete. It's not just the individuals under assessment who might be flawed, but the field itself, due to an excessive left-brain bias. A more balanced approach is essential. I had a teacher who practiced this balance in the '80s; he could intuitively assess and judge his clients, sometimes advising them to stop sessions if he saw issues. He worked with professionals like nurses, doctors, and engineers who sought shadow work and metaphysical healing. He even aimed to create a union of respected therapists to filter out the "snake oil salespeople" who promote empty promises in spiritual circles.
