Ginataang Langka with Fried Fish
This is Ginataang Langka (Jackfruit in Coconut Milk). This is a vegetable dish made mainly with Langka (Jackfruit) and few other ingredients. This dish can be cooked without any meat if you are vegetarian.
Disclaimer: I'm not a chef. You don't need to be a Pro to eat good food, or eat food that you like or crave for. You just have to explore in the kitchen! My cooking/baking is based on my personal taste and I always do it my way. I just love cooking food and making video recipes of it, even my first time cooking. Most of my recipes are also from UA-cam and other reading materials. My measurements are often estimates, and some of my ingredients are optional and leftovers.
Ingredients:
1/2 kilo unripe jackfruit chopped1 cup coconut milk2 pieces chili chopped
1 medium onion sliced
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
Instructions:
*Heat the cooking oil in a pan.
*Once the oil becomes hot, sauté the onion and garlic.
*Add the fried fish. Cook until medium brown.
*Add the jackfruit. Stir and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
*Cover and let it cook.
*Pour the coconut milk in the pan. Let boil. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
*Add the chili, ground black pepper, salt and sugar. Stir.
*Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve.
