We are installing a dual master cylinder on a Datsun 521 1971. Original master cylinder only had 1 output , but this new 15/16 bore master cylinder has 2 outputs. We had to modify the hardline system to have 2 inputs. 1 front and 1 rear. This is much more safe.

These LED headlights are extremely bright. The lights fit like OEM. The harness fit into my stock wire harness. I decided to install the relay system since my headlight switch melted when I turned on the lights. I installed 1 relay for high beam and 1 for low beam.

240Z with Silver Mine Motors Electric Power Steering Kit At Willo Springs 2018
Переглядів 3,1 тис.6 років тому
Our new Rally/ Race 240Z car is working well and the drivers have adapted to (and learned to appreciate) the Electric power steering. From the in car video it seems they are barely working. Here is one of John Morton’s laps at Willow Springs At the end of a two hour race stint, the power steering makes a huge difference on their ability to maintain consistent lap times.
What wheels are these?
Rota rkr 17x8.5 front and 17x9.5 rear. you will need to cut off your fenders to fit them unfortunately.
Nice
O mi god’s
Bc or silvermines?
Bring prices back down
Import tariffs went up 20%. Also actual coilovers manufacturing cost went up to
Are you preloading the springs or just adjust the stiffness by the little knob on the top?
I suggest a finger tight preload. Nothing more or else it will be more uncomfortable. You can adjust how stiff you want it with the shocks
What type of welder is needed?
Mig or TIG welder. Make sure you clean the knuckle very well before you start welding
I would really like to see the led headlight blinker working w the headlights on.
Where did you get your relay harness?
Been two years no final video on install ,improvements. We're you able to dial it in ?
it's dialed in perfectly. Bias is perfect. front locks just before rear. Feels amazing!
interesting it seems i have the 260z style proportioning valve where its mounted on the fire wall near the firewall throttle linkage. That being said I have a 73 240z so that's probably why. I am still not sure which line I would have to "straight line" since the old proportioning valve has two inputs and two outputs. If I remember correctly it's one input/output for the R front brake and the other for the rear brakes (yes both)?
If your proportioning valve is mounted on the firewall you need to make a straight line with both of the hard lines. Use two double female fittings to connect the four hard lines together.
@@bajaracer1 Ok I understood that but then where does the proportioning valve attach to? Because of one of those two lines, you said to "straighten" is the line for the rear
I use the prop valve like in the video.2 outlets only. it goes in between the master cylinder and the hardline that use to plug into the master.
@@bajaracer1 oh i see I read that it could falsely trigger the brake switch or distribution block... that being said I don't think Ill plug it in for a long while. Either way my 73 240z has the prop valve in the fire wall thank you I figure it out, I need to straighten the inlet/outlet for the Front Right brake. For the rear its going to be the same thing it was just a new wilwood prop valve with some adapter fittings but other wise connects the same. THANK YOU!
Do these need a ballast?
No

What size fitting?
m10x1.0
overall, how low did you end up going? how much more adjustment was left... was it near max? im debating between these or the extreme low options from BC only because I dont want to max out settings.
The Coilover kit was set kinda low at first. but handling was not that good and it hit the front lip everywhere. I still could have dropped in 2 more inches from there, but instead, I raised it up and left it there. now it handles and does not rub everywhere. I think the extreme low option is way too low and totally unnecessary. Unless you never plan on driving it.
So I bought these and installed one of them on my 280Z but it never turned on while the other one was still on. Any guesses to what it is?
Check your wiring to see its getting power. Make sure you're not using stock wiring since it id weak and does not supply good power, install a relay system to get max power. If still not working then you have a bad light. You can try to connect it to another power source and test light also.
Just double checking on this thread. From what I’ve seen on forums is the pin layout is different from what the LED pins are. I can’t confirm just yet but I am going to take a test light and confirm what pin is ground, low beam and high beam
Keep supporting parts and upgrades...for the Japanese Ferrari !!
what control arms are these?
Silver Mine Motors control arms. The lightest available. www.silverminemotors.com/featured/billet-aluminum-front-lower-control-arms
brother where did you get the door mirror
ebay, it came from Thailand.
where did you get the red gauged light ?
The car has all the gauges changed to speed hut gauges. They are great. I recommend the white background so you can see them better.
Will the steering lock if the engine shuts off ?
no, if the unit goes off it will have no power steering, so it will feel like a stock steering.
how do you like them? looking to get a datsun this week and wanted to get the break upgrades and coilovers from them
I like it a lot. I just got back from another Canyon Drive. So far 2000 miles on all the parts and everything is still working like new. Handles amazing stops amazing
Does this coversion kit fit into the 510?
No, but I have already finished making a power steering kit for the 510. It is being tested right now. We should have it available late this year for sale. check silverminemotors.com
What roll cage is that?
It's a custom 6 point roll cage. Welded into the car. I like how it feels, Much less flex when your taking turns.
I'm assuming you folks installed the EPS ??? What unit did you use and any videos on the install process ? I'd love to see some of the technical details.
This EPS kit is made by Silver Mine Motors. here's the link where it is for sale. www.silverminemotors.com/featured/electric-power-steering-kit-for-240z-260z-280z-datsun-1970-1978-s30 There are no installation videos. The process is straightforward. First install the column which is identical to your stock column. then connect power wires, speed sensor and ACC. Check the picture on the link and look for the picture of wiring harness with writing on it. It tells where to hook up every wire. Let me know if you have any other questions.
What is the specs on this Z ? Where can I see the build on this Z?
This is our customers car. He does not have a build thread for this car.
