Its the string from the parachute to the remains of the balloon. Because the balloon popped rather than shred, there was a significant amount of balloon mass left (approx 1kg) which meant that it was falling faster than the payload under the parachute. This is why it starts to be seen in the main camera, and ultimately entangles the parachute.

wide-angle lenses are simply better for capturing as much as possible in one shot. you can find videos that don't use a wide angle lens, but you will have to look for them. one good recommendation I have is a video by Kip Daugirdas, where he sends an amatuer rocket to about 56 miles up.

If earth is flying at 100,000 kmph, think about the planes, birds, clouds, satellites(?) and balloons hovering on the side of the same direction in which earth is traveling, which means, these objects are literally blocking the way of the earth, these are in the earth's elliptical path. _ My question is, how earth is pushing away those objects if it has gravity? gravity is supposed to pull, not push. How rain is falling to the ground against the 100,000 kmph stupid ball's direction? This one fact alone is enough to prove that the earth is NOT a spinning ball, but rather a flat and surrounded by 300ft. Antarctic ice.. Oh my God, is there ANY High-Altitude-balloon-video on youtube without discussions about fish eye lens cameras in the comment? So annoying and pointless. First of all: This is from 2013, so before the flat earth trend started. Back then nobody would would even consider that an experiment like that would have the purpose of checking out the shape of the earth or should tell you anything about it. And it is a normal thing to use an action cam for a purposse like that. GoPros are more or less the inventors of the them, so especially in 2013 it was obvious to use a GoPro for something like this. What would you use instead? A smartphone? A regular camcorder? And those usually have a fish eye lens. And the reason is that you want to see more of the environment, so you want a wide field of view. And there are so many other videos of skydivers, skaters, snowboarders, surfers etc. made with Fish Eye lens GoPros. It is strange that in the comment of those videos, I never see anybody who mentions thge fish eye lens. Why only on videos that were made in very high altitude?
