    In your video you say you use an 8 by 8 baking pan but in your list you say 10 by 10? Will this fit into an 8 by 8?

    • @melaniescountrycooking
      @melaniescountrycooking 6 днів тому

      Hi Mary! It will fit in an 8 x 8 baking pan. I would definitely put a cookie sheet under it because it does get bubbly, just to be on the safe side! 10 x 10 would probably be better though! Thank you for watching! Happy Holidays! :-)

    celery , onion, carrot and salt that is all you need, why do americans have the habit to put all those spices in everything they cook that are not necessary?

    • @melaniescountrycooking

      Everyone's tastes are different. You can certainly leave out the spices if you prefer. My opinion is that the spices add an extra layer of flavor. Thank you for watching! Happy Holidays! :-)

    Just discovered your channel. Thanks for not wasting time on slicing and dicing, etc. There's nothing in this video but what I need to know to make what looks like a really tasty dish. 😋 I'll be subscribing in a minute. Anyway, this looks like a n imaginative recipe that is really easy to bring together -- my favorite kind. Btw, since you're using a sweet bbq sauce, I wonder how this would turn out with apples instead of potatoes. I think I will try it both ways. Can't wait.

      You're welcome Bob! Happy to have you join us!! I don't like watching videos where I have to watch people chopping up everything, so I get right to the recipe! I think apples would be great! Next time I make it I will try it! Thanks for commenting & watching! 🙂

    This looks sort of like an amped-up chicken pot pie with dressing instead of crusts. Great idea and great substitution suggestions! I can't wait to try it just like this and then maybe try some of the alternatives just for kicks. Btw, it always warms my heart to see someone scraping out cans. I am really anal retentive when it comes to avoiding waste. If you are, too, after scraping out the soup can, consider putting some of the milk into it, slosh it around really well and thoroughly scrape it out again. I always feel better about throwing away a "clean" can, with all of the goodness having gone into the dish. Leave no flavor behind. 😅

    "I just tasted the mixture before baking, and it had a flavor not like or close to what I associate with tuna casserole-kinda tasted like a burrito filling, just saying. When I think of tuna casserole, I picture something creamy and milky, so even though this recipe uses chicken instead of tuna, I was hoping for a similar flavor profile-especially with cream of celery and cream of chicken soup in the mix. Before putting it in the oven, it looked reddish, probably because of the paprika called for in the recipe. I’m really hoping and praying that once all the flavors meld together in the oven, I’ll be pleased with the end result. For those who’ve tried this, did it bake into that creamy, classic casserole texture? I’d love to hear how it turned out for you!"
